MANGALORE: The meeting of newly constituted divisional railway users' consultative committee (DRUCC) was held at railway divisional office at Palakkad on Tuesday. This is 149th meeting of DRUCC. There are 19 members in the committee and they are representatives of members of parliament, chamber of commerce, merchants association, railway passenger associations, association for physically challenged, and so on.

Tenure of this committee is for two years and the newly nominated members of this committee attended their first meeting. Out of 19 members, 14 members were present. The members elected K N Ganesan, representing Tirur Chamber of Commerce as their representative to zonal railway users' consultative committee (ZRUCC) which is functioning at Southern Railway headquarters at Chennai.

Piyush Agarwal, chairman of DRUCC and divisional railway manger, Palakkad who presided over the meeting said members of DRUCC are ears and eyes of railways and requested members to help railways by giving valuable suggestions to improve the passenger amenities in the division. P A Dhanajayan, senior divisional commercial manager welcomed the members and briefed about Palakkad division through power point presentation.

SCR to Run Eight Special Trains Between Secunderabad-Guwahati and One Special Train From Aurangabad to Secunderabad


South Central Railway will run Nine Special Trains, viz. eight special trains between Secunderabad- Guwahati and o­ne special train from Aurangabad to Secunderabad in order to clear extra rush of passengersas per the following schedule:-
1)Secunderabad-Guwahati-Secunderabad Special Train (08 Trips):-

Train No. 07149 Secunderabad - Guwahati Special Train will depart Secunderabad at 07 30 hrs o­n 26th July, 2nd, 9th & 16thAugust, 2013 (Fridays) and arrive Guwahati at 07 55 hrs o­n the second day i.e. Sundays.

In the return direction, Train No.07150 Guwahati - Secunderabad Special Train will depart Guwahati at 06 00 hrs o­n 29th July, 5th, 12th& 19th August, 2013 (Mondays) and arrive Secunderabad at 09 15 hrs o­n the second day i.e. Wednesdays.

Enroute, these trains will stop at Jangaon, Kazipet, Warangal, Mahabubabad, Khammam, Vijayawada, Eluru, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Anakapalli, Duvada, Visakhapatnam, Vijayanagaram, Palasa, Berhampur, Kurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Balasore, Kharagpur, Howrah, Bolpur, Rampurhat, Malda, Barsoi, Kishanganj, New Jalpaiguri, Dhupguri, New Coochbehar, New Alipurduar, Kokrajhar, New Bongaigaon, Goalpura Town and Kamakhya stations in both the directions. These trains will have 16 coaches viz, o­ne AC II Tier, o­ne AC III Tier, Eight Sleeper Class, Four General Second Class and Two Second Class Luggage Cum Brake Van Coaches.

2)Aurangabad-Secunderabad Special Train (01 Trip):-

Train No. 07505 Aurangabad-Secunderabad Special Train will depart Aurangabad at 18 40 hrs o­n 25th July, 2013 (Thursday) and arrive Secunderabad at 06 00 hrs o­n the next day.

Enroute, this train will stop at Jalna, Parbhani, Purna, Nanded, Mudkhed, Dharmabad, Basar, Nizamabad and Kamareddi stations. This special train will have 12 coaches viz, Seven General Second Class, Three Sleeper Class and Two Second Class Luggage Cum Brake Van Coaches.

Inagural of Suratgarh-Anupgarh-Suratgarh 02 New Passenger Train

सोलापूर - सोलापूर रेल्वे स्थानकावर अगोदरच हाणामारी, चोर्‍या, जनरल डब्यात बसण्यावरून एका महिलेचा जीव जाणे अशा अनेक घटना घडल्या आहेत. त्यामुळे प्रवाशांची सुरक्षा धोक्यात असतानाच आता महाराष्ट्र दहशतवादविरोधी पथकाने (एटीएस) सोलापूर रेल्वे स्थानकात देखील खबरदारी घेण्यास सांगितले आहे. त्यामुळे आता शासनाच्या सुरक्षा यंत्रणेसमोरील आव्हान आणखी वाढले आहे.

मध्य रेल्वेतील जळगाव, भुसावळ, मनमाड आदी प्रमुख रेल्वे स्थानकावर सुरक्षेचा कडा पहारा लावला गेला आहे. दहशतवादी संघटनांनी स्थानक उडवण्याची धमकी दिली होती. कुठली स्थानके त्यांच्या हिटलिस्टवर आहेत, त्यांनी ते स्पष्ट केलेले नाही. त्यामुळे मध्य रेल्वेतील मुंबई, पुणे, सोलापूरसह अन्य महत्त्वाच्या रेल्वे स्थानकांना सतर्कतेचा इशारा दिला आहे. हे लक्षात घेत लवकरच रेल्वे पोलिसांचे सशस्त्र जवान सोलापूर रेल्वे स्थानकावर तैनात होणार आहेत. तसेच साध्या वेशातील पोलिसांची गस्त वाढविण्यात येणार आहे.

व्यवस्थेतील प्रमुख त्रुटी
मुंबई येथील दहशतवादी हल्ल्यानंतर सोलापूर रेल्वे स्थानकावर बरॅक बांधण्यात आले होते. तिथे शस्त्रधारी जवानांची नियुक्तीही होती. नंतर ते काढून घेण्यात आले. प्रवेशद्वाराजवळ बसवलेले मेटल डिटेक्टर हलवण्यात आले. स्टेशन परिसरात लक्ष ठेवण्यासाठी 22 सीसीटीव्ही कॅमेरे बसवले. मात्र, त्यांची क्षमता कमी आहे. 20 ते 25 फुटांपेक्षा अधिक लांबीचे चित्र स्पष्ट दिसत नाही. मुख्य प्रवेशद्वाराशिवाय अन्य चोरट्या मार्गाने प्रवेश सहज सोपा आहे. मालधक्क्याच्या बाजूने असलेल्या पादचारी पुलावरून कोणीही स्थानकावर सहज येऊ शकतो. या सर्व सुरक्षेत मोठय़ा त्रुटी आहेत.

सावधतेचा इशारा दिला
खबरदारीचा उपाय म्हणून सोलापूर रेल्वे स्थानकाला सावधतेचा इशारा दिला आहे. यापूर्वीच सोलापूरला 100 जवानांची तुकडी दिली आहे. प्रवाशांच्या सुरक्षेसाठी पोलिस कटिबद्ध आहे.’’ अनिल शर्मा, रेल्वे पोलिस महासंचालक, मध्य रेल्वे, मुंबई

साध्या वेशात गस्त

SCR to Run Eight Special Trains Between Secunderabad-Guwahati and One Special Train From Aurangabad to Secunderabad

मुंबई –  कर्जतहून बदलापूरकडे जाणा-या रेल्वेचा डबा रविवारी दुपारी अडीचच्या सुमारास रुळावरुन घसरला. मेगाब्लॉक असल्यामुळे रेल्वेच्या कर्मचा-यांनी युद्धपातळीवर कामकरुन सायंकाळी साडेसहा वाजता मार्गावरील वाहतूक सुरु केली. कर्जत-बदलापूर लोकल बदलापूरच्या फलाट क्रमांक दोनमध्ये शिरत असताना रेल्वेचा डबा रुळावरुन घसरला. यात कोणतीही जीवितहानी झालेली नाही.

सावधतेचा इशारा दिला
खबरदारीचा उपाय म्हणून सोलापूर रेल्वे स्थानकाला सावधतेचा इशारा दिला आहे. यापूर्वीच सोलापूरला 100 जवानांची तुकडी दिली आहे. प्रवाशांच्या सुरक्षेसाठी पोलिस कटिबद्ध आहे.’’ अनिल शर्मा, रेल्वे पोलिस महासंचालक, मध्य रेल्वे, मुंबई

साध्या वेशात गस्त
रेल्वे पोलिसांची एक तुकडी सोलापूरला मिळाली आहे. त्याचा वापर बंदोबस्तासाठी करण्यात येईल. साध्या वेशातील पोलिसांची गस्त सुरू करण्यात येईल. लवकरच एक जादा पोलिसांची तुकडी स्थानकावर देऊ.’’ सुशील गायकवाड, विभागीय जनसंपर्क अधिकारी, सोलापूर रेल्वे

ठाणे

झोडपून काढणारा पाऊस आणि ठरलेला मेगाब्लॉक यामुळे आधीच रखडलेल्या मध्य रेल्वेच्या लोकलसेवेचा बदलापूरजवळ लोकल रूळावरून घसरल्याने रविवारी दिवसभर बोजवारा उडाला होता .

बदलापूर रेल्वे स्टेशनजवळील क्रॉसओव्हरवरच हा प्रकार घडल्याने बदलापूर ते कल्याणदरम्यान अप आणि डाऊन अशी दोन्हीकडील सेवा तब्बल चार तास बंद पडली होती . या बिघाडामुळे पुणे - जयपूर एक्स्प्रेस आणि डेक्कन एक्स्प्रेसही रखडल्या होत्या .

मध्य रेल्वेने कल्याण ते अंबरनाथदरम्यान रविवारी दुपारी २ ते साडेतीन या वेळेत आणि कल्याण ते ठाणेदरम्यान सकाळी १० ते दुपारी ४ या वेळेत मेगाब्लॉक जाहीर केला होता . मेगाब्लॉकच्या वेळेत प्रवाशांचे हाल होऊ नये यासाठी बदलापूर ते कर्जतदरम्यान विशेष शटल सेवा सुरू केली होती .

या शटलपैकी एका लोकलच्या पहिल्या डब्याची तीन चाके दुपारी २ वाजून १८ मिनिटांनी रुळावरून घसरली . या घटनेत कोणीही जखमी झाले नसल्याचे मध्य रेल्वेचे मुख्य जनसंपर्क अधिकारी अतुल राणे यांनी सांगितले . हा प्रकार नेमका क्रॉसओव्हरवर घडल्याने अप व डाऊन अशा दोन्हीवरील वाहतूक बंद पडली . काही वेळात डाऊन मार्ग सुरू झाला मात्र , अप मार्ग तब्बल ४ तास , म्हणजे साडेसहा वाजेपर्यंत बंद होता . त्यामुळे प्रवाशांना कल्याणपर्यंत जाणेदेखीस शक्य झाले नाही .
