उत्तर रेलवे ने लखनऊ और दिल्ली के बीच स्पेशल ट्रेन चलाने की घोषणा की है। लखनऊ से यह ट्रेन पांच अगस्त को चलकर अगले दिन सुबह आएगी जबकि दिल्ली से यह ट्रेन 6 अगस्त को चलेगी और अगले दिन लखनऊ पहुंचेगी।

वस ॥ गुड़गांव : रेलवे मंत्रालय ने अर्जुन पुरस्कार विजेता खिलाडि़यों को अपने पास पर राजधानी ट्रेन के फर्स्ट क्लास या सेकंड क्लास एसी में और शताब्दी ट्रेनों के चेयर कार में सफर करने की सुविधा प्रदान की है। इसके अलावा मेल और एक्सपे्रस ट्रेन में भी वह इस पास से फर्स्ट क्लास और सेकंड एसी में सफर कर सकेंगे।

इस बाबत एक 10 जुलाई को ही सभी जोनल रेलवे को सर्कुलर भिजवा दिया गया है। इस पास के जरिए खिलाडि़यों को जिंदगी भर मुफ्त सफर की सुविधा मिलती है।

इसके अलावा जिन अर्जुन पुरस्कार प्राप्त खिलाडि़यों की उम्र 65 या इससे अधिक है, वह अब अपने एक साथी को भी इसी क्लास में अपने साथ ले जा सकते हंै।

Subject:- Clarification on the admissibility of House Rent Allowance to the Central Government Employees posted at Greater Noida — regarding.

It has been observed that payment of HRA @ 30% of Basic Pay is being made by certain Ministries/Departments to the Central Government employees posted at Greater Noida, in violation of the instructions issued by this Ministry in this regard, from time to time.

2. It is, therefore, clarified that Greater Noida was an 'Unclassified town/place for the purpose of grant of HRA prior to 01.09.2008 and consequent upon the implementation of the recommendations of the 6th Central Pay Commission, it has been classified as class town/place w.e.f. 01.09.2008 vide this Ministry's O.M. No.2(13)/2008-Ell(B) dated 29 08.2008 on grant of House Rent Allowance to the Central Government employees and classification of cities/towns for this purpose.

3. Financial Advisers of All Ministries/Departments are, therefore, requested to ensure the implementation of the oforesaid O.M. in letter & spirit.

SILCHAR: Train services in the Lumding-Silchar section of North-east Frontier Railway is set to resume on Sunday after a gap of 33 days.Landslips caused by torrential rain in nearly 100 places along the route caused disruption of train service since June 26, causing extreme sufferings to people of this region. A spokesman of NF Railway said 15691 Dn/15692 Up Lumding - Silchar - Lumding Cachar Express and 15695 Dn Lumding - Agartala Express will resume service from Sunday. The 15693 Dn/15694 Up Lumding - Silchar Barak Valley Express and 15696 Up Agartala - Lumding Express will resume service from Monday. Partial train services between Lumding and Lower Halflong was resumed on July 25 with the running of Hill Queen Express.With this, the existing service of UP/DN passenger special train running between Badarpur & Harangajao will be withdrawn from Monday, the spokesman added.Southern Assam, Tripura, Mizoram and parts of Manipur are cut off in terms of railway connectivity from the rest of the country for over a month due to landslides in 91 odd places along the 171 km-stretch between Mandardisa and Damcherra stations on the Lumding-Silchar section. Over 3,000 passengers were stranded in different stations and they were later evacuated gradually.Landslide in the Lumding-Silchar section, which runs through the Borail hill range, is a common phenomenon during the monsoon. In 2010, the route was closed for railway traffic for 34 days after a 300 metre track between Harangajao and Maliongdisa was washed away in landslides. In 2004, the route was closed for four months due to landslips.

The NH-6, connecting the region with Guwahati, is also not reliable during rains as areas in Meghalaya are prone to frequent landslides.

The preliminary survey work for a new railway line connecting Pandavapura-Nagamangala-Kunigal-Tumkur will commence shortly, said Minister of State for Railways K.H. Muniyappa at Melkote on Saturday.At present, there is a railway line between Mysore and Pandavapura. As there is no railway line between Pandavapura and Tumkur, survey work will be taken up shortly, Mr. Muniyappa said.Mysore-Tumkur rail link is a long-pending demand of the people of Mandya and surrounding regions as the district has no direct train service to Tumkur, Suresh Gowda, Nagamangala MLA, told Mr. Muniyappa.In the wake of the recent assault on a 19-year-old girl on Yeshwanthpur-Mysore Express train, the Railway Ministry is considering increasing the number of compartments for women passengers. “I have discussed the issue of providing security to women passengers on train with officials concerned,” Mr. Muniyappa said.Senior officials of the Railways are preparing a report on the Maddur incident. Once the report is submitted to the Railway Ministry, the victim will be given compensation, he said.
