भारत की रेल गाड़ियों की गति में परिवर्तन हुए, रेलवे स्टेशन का स्वरुप बदला, यात्रयों को नवीनतम सुवधियाएं दी गयीं तो रेल कर्मचारियों की वेश-भूषा भी बदलनी चाइये थी|

रेल मंत्री सुरेश प्रभु ने इसकी औपचारिक घोषणा रेल-बजट में करदी थी कि भारतीय रेल का पूरा रंग रूप बदलने जा रा है| 1 अक्टूबर से अंग्रेजों के ज़माने से चली आ रही यूनिफार्म को दरकिनार कर ऋतू बेरी तथा अन्य डिजाइनरो द्वारा तैयार की गयी यूनिफॉर्म्स में देखा जाएगा| रेलवे ने इसे अभी तक दिखाया तो नहीं है पर नई यूनिफॉर्म्स स्टेशन मास्टर, टी टी ई, लोको पायलट के साथ साथ कुलियों को भी पहनाई जाएगी|

रेलवे टाइम-टेबल में इसे 1 अक्टूबर से लागू कर दिया जाएगा पर अनिवार्य की तारीख तय नहीं की गई है|

एक तरफ टैल्गो के ट्रायल रन के दौरान 180 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ़्तार रेलवे ने छुई है वहीँ मोरादाबाद मंडल से गुजरने वाली सारी गाड़िया 100 किमी प्रति घंटे से आगे नहीं बढ़ पा रही हैं| स्टेशन अधीक्षक का कहना है की वर्तमान रेलवे ट्रैक की स्थिति में ट्रेनों को 100 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ़्तार से तेज़ चला पाना नामुमकिन है|

मोरादाबाद से होते हुए दिल्ली जाने वाली कई महत्वपूर्ण गाड़ियां गुजरती हैं परंतु ट्रेनों की रफ़्तार चिंता का विषय बनी हुई है|

ध्यान देने योग्य बात ये है की दिल्ली से चलकर मोरादाबाद तक ट्रेन फिर भी 110किमि प्रति घंटे की अधिकतम रफ़्तार से आ जाती है पर मोरादाबाद से लखनऊ के बीच 100 किमी प्रति घंटे भी पार नहीं कर पाती, वहीँ निजामुद्दीन से आगरा के बीच 160 किमि प्रति घंटे तक की रफ़्तार गतिमान एक्सप्रेस पकड़ती है|

गति बढ़ाने का लक्ष्य तो रखा गया है किन्तु धीरे धीरे-

2017 तक अभी 110 की मि तक लाने का प्रयास किआ जाएगा और 120 तक लाने में 2019  भी हो सकता है|

भारत की सबसे तेज़ ट्रेनों के रूट का चयन करते समय मोरादाबाद मंडल को सोचा भी नहीं गया था|

लखनऊ आबकारी पुलिस विभाग की भर्ती परीक्षा के अभ्यर्थियों ने अतिरेकता में बहते हुए नौचंदी एक्सप्रेस में तोड़फोड़ की तथा रेल के इंजन पर पथराव भी किया| अभ्यर्थियों की इस हरकत ने नौचंदी लिंक एक्सप्रेस के लोको पायलट को घायल भी कर दिया|

सहारनपुर से लखनऊ के बीच चलने वाली ये गाडी जो मुज़फ्फरनगर और मेरठ होकर गुजरती है मामला शांत होने के बाद देर रात में ही रवाना हो सकी|

अभ्यर्थी बिना पुलिस लाठीचार्ज के नहीं माने और देर रात तक हंगामा करते रहे| नारेबाजी के साथ रिजर्वेशन सीटों को भी युवकों ने घुसकर अपने अधिगृहित कर लिया जिसकी वजह से यात्रयों को परेशानियों का सामना करना पड़ा|

पुलिस ने किसी तरह से युवकों को जब डिब्बों से उतरा तो हंगामा फिर बढ़ा और कुछ ही देर में वे फिर से डिब्बों में वापस चले गए|

ट्रेन के इंजन को पथराव के दौरान नुकसान भी हुआ और रात 1 बजे दूसरा इंजन लगाकर ट्रेन को भेज जा सका|

भारत में इस तरह की घटनाएं आम होती जा रही हैं जहाँ बिना वजह भीड़ का फायदा उठाकर सार्वजनिक संम्पत्ति का नुकसान किया जाता है|

If you are SMSing type - CLEAN followed by your ten-digit PNR number after giving space. Send it to 58888.

If you are using your smartphone type www.cleanmycoach.com in your browser address bar. Enter your PNR number and mobile number; enter captcha and send your request. You can also avail this facility through app on your android phone.

Once your request is sent, housekeeping service provider of your coach will clean instantly if found necessary. During last year’s railway budget, this facility was announced and as of now, it is operational in 1584 trains. Until date, the service is prompt and well administered.

In a bid to offer more choice of food to passengers, Nagpur Central Railway became the first division to introduce Veg Biryani at Rs. 42.

A 42-rupees ‘Veg Biryani’ will include 200gm of rice, 100 gm of vegetable and rest 100gm will comprise gravy.

During Swachh Ahaar Day, there was rigorous monitoring of every type food and catering services across the division at all railway stations. Even passing by train’s pantry car were inspected including food stalls. Once the inspection was complete, senior officials of Nagpur Central Railway made the announcement.

This is for the first time railway has included Veg-Biryani in its menu. It was also confirmed that “Non-Veg Biryani” will soon follow. Few years back under a similar scheme ‘Janta Khaana’ was introduced by railway at Rs. 15. It went on to become a popular choice of passengers specially travelling in general and sleeper class. Currently Railway sells food and snacks through stalls on platforms.

One-step towards transforming railway stations into hitech stations is installation of free WiFi. Many stations across country already have free wifi facilities for passengers, while Thrissur will offer free WiFi from Monday onwards.

Monday 9 o clock, Suresh Prabhu will inaugurate the free WiFi facility along with newly installed escalator on station. Emergency facility on first platform will also go operational after the inauguration.

Although, only upward going escalators are installed at Thrissur but it will act as a boon for old passengers.

To keep WiFi signal strong and data flow uninterrupted, railway has installed as much as 21 modems at the station. To use the facility, passengers will be sent a code number that will never change. By entering the given code, passengers can log in to the Thrissur station’s WiFi.

एक तरफ साक्षी मालिक के ऊपर पैसों की बारिश कर रही सरकार ने उनके कोच कुलदीप को पूरी तरह से भुला दिया हे| रियो ओलिंपिक में पदक लाने वाली साक्षि मालिक के कोच को हरयाणा सरकार ने 10 लाख के चेक की प्रतिलिपि एक अवार्ड समारोह में दी थी परंतु आज तक उन्हें उसकी नगद राशि प्राप्त नहीं हुई हे और ना ही चेक| इसके अलावा रेल मंत्री ने कुलदीप, जो 2010 में ध्यान चन्द अवार्ड से पुरस्कृत किये जा चुके हैं; को पदोन्नति का वादा भी किया था जो अभी तक पूरा नहीं हुआ है|कुलदीप कहते हैं की जब उन्होंने रेलवे अधिकारियों से पदोन्नति की बात कही तो उन्होंने ये कह के टाल दिया कि शिष्य के जीतने पर कोच को पदोन्नति नहीं मिलती हे|इसके अलावा हरयाणा सरकार कि तरफ से भी कोई उनकी नहीं सुन रहा है|जहाँ एक तरफ साक्षि बी ऍम डब्लू कार में सफर कर रही हैं वहीँ उनके कोच को, जिनकी कोचिंग में रहते हुए साक्षी ने 2011 ओलिंपिक में ब्रोंज, कामनवेल्थ ग्लासगो 2014 मे सिल्वर और एशियाई चैंपियनशिप दोहा 2015 में ब्रोंज जीत था, हर तरफ से निराशा हाथ लग रही रही है|

From 8th of September, Indian Railways launched flexi fares for Rajdhani and Shatabdi trains under passengers have to pay more than actual base fare cost as per seat availability i.e. more seats are available, you have to pay lesser amount. However, railway also decided that a cap of not more than 50% of total base fare cost will be fixed on flexi fares.In a reality check, this is not happening due to faulty calculation by the software. Ticket of Shatabdi Express between Chandigarh and New Delhi should cost maximum 850 rupees but while booking it costs around 1000 rupees, which is pricey especially if you are traveling with your family.For a four member family traveling between Chandigarh and New Delhi will cost approx. 4000 rupees while a sedan taxi will cost at max 3000 rupees. Also in 4000 rupees, you will reach railway station not at your destination.Even for a single person traveling by Volvo will be cheaper than Shatabdi express. Neeraj Sharma, northern Railway CPRO said that Indian Railway is keeping an eye on the issue and will soon upgrade the software. He though did not made any comment over the loss passengers are facing.

टिकट काउंटर पर अभी तक पहली शिफ्ट सुबह 08:00 बजे से दोपहर 2 बजे तक की होती थी और दूसरी 02:30 दोपहर से रात्रि 8 बजे तक| आरक्षण  कर्मियों को आधे घंटे का समय अपने दोपहर के भोजन के लिए मिलता था|भारतीय रेल के नए नियमानुसार अब आरक्षण कर्मियों को अपना दोपहर का भोजन 15 मिनट में ही समाप्त करना पड़ेगा| पहली शिफ्ट सुबह 8 से 2 बजे तक ही होगी पर दूसरी 2:30 बजे के बजाय 2:15 से सशुरू हो जाएगी| इससे यात्रियों को आराक्षण के लिए 15 मिनट का अतिरिक्त समय मिलेगा|

As per the current rule if you are a senior citizen i.e. age more than 60 years of age, and considering traveling from Indian Railways, you can avail 50% discount on base fare if you are female and 40% on base fare if you are male.

This discount can be availed by any senior citizen irrespective of destination or type of coach.

Railway is considering a new option of scraping such discounts if being a senior citizen you are traveling with your family. However, a condition is kept that if elderly and family members take separate tickets in different coaches of the same train they still can avail discount.
