This festive season railway is gearing up to regulate extra rush by increasing stoppages of certain trains.

South Eastern Railway (SER) has decided to halt Puri-New Delhi Purushottam Superfast Express at Chandil and Ghatshila stations. Usually this train only stops at Tatanagar but considering rush in festive season SER has decided to increase these two stoppages from October 5 and October 12 for six months respectively.

According to railway officials, this will be done on experimental basis as the decision is taken on the wake of public demand. Once response input is taken and revenue collection is calculated, Chandil and Ghatshila will be made permanent stoppages.

Purushottam Superfast Express will arrive on Chandil at 07:40am from Puri while down train from Delhi will arrive at 07:12PM as per the schedule. Similarly, up train will arrive at 05:54AM in the morning at Ghatsila and down train will arrive at 08:48PM.

These two extra stoppages will not affect arrival and departure time of Purushottam Express at other stations.

1 अक्टूबर को रेलवे की नई समय सारिणी जारी कर दी जाएगी जिसमे करीब 30 नई ट्रेनों को जगह दी गयी है| तीन तेजस और उदय एक्सप्रेस, सात अंत्योदय एक्सप्रेस और 10 हमसफ़र एक्सप्रेस को शामिल किया गया है|

तेजस एक्सप्रेस दिल्ली से चंडीगढ़ के बीच चलेगी वहीँ गोरखपुर और आनंद विहार के बीच हमसफ़र एक्सप्रेस चलेगी| अंत्योदय एक्सप्रेस हावड़ा और एर्नाकुलम के बीच चलाई जाएगी| इन सभी ट्रेनों का किराया अभी तक के चल रहे किरायों की अपेक्षा ज्यादा होगा |

ऊपर दी गयी ट्रेनों के अलावा भी आपको बता दें की मुम्बई-करमेल के बीच तेजस एक्सप्रेस एक सप्ताह में पांच दिन  चलेगी, आनंदविहार-गोरखपुर हमसफ़र एक्सप्रेस तीन, आनंदविहार-लखनऊ एक्सप्रेस छह दिन, दिल्ली चंडीगढ़ तेजस एक्सप्रेस छह दिन जबकि बाकी सभी हमसफ़र एक्सप्रेस साप्ताहिक होंगी|

इस वर्ष की समय सारिणी को आने में एक महीने का विलम्ब हुआ है पर रेल मंत्रालय का दावा है की इसे यात्रियों की सुविधा के अनुकूल बनाया गया है जिसमे यात्रयों से जुडी कई सूचनाएं होंगी|

रविवार को सुबह ३ बजे मिथिलांचल एक्सप्रेस में लुटेरों ने जसीडीह स्टेशन से पहले चोरी की वारदात  को अंजाम दिया जिसमे कुछ यात्री घायल भी हुए|

करीब पांच से छह लुटेरे बन्दूक और ब्लेड लेकर अचानक ही ट्रेन में जसीडीह स्टेशन से पहले घुस आये और लूटपाट की|

कुछ यात्रयों ने जब इसका विरोध किया तब उनपर लुटेरों ने ब्लेड से हमला कर दिया|

यात्रियों का कहना है की जसीडीह स्टेशन पर यात्रयों ने पुलिस में जाके इसकी शिकायत की तो भी पुलिस की तरफ से कोई कदम नहीं उठाये गए| यात्रयों ने इस वारदात को रेल पुलिस और अपराधियों की साझा शाजिश करार दी|

जब यात्रियों ने ट्वीट कर सुरेश प्रभु से शिकायत की तब कहीं जाकर रेलवे पुलिस थोड़ी हरकत में आई|

Its been a transformation phase for Indian Railways. After trains and railway stations, it is turn of dorms and retiring rooms. Indian Railway is all set to handover all retiring rooms and dorms to IRCTC for renovation.

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will take over the control of these rooms and dormitories; will renovate them by using the present infrastructure in a smarter manner; will add top-class facilities, communication systems, and quality fittings; and will provide hospitality services to such refurbished rooms.

IRCTC is also intending to market them through mini-ratna enterprise under the Railways and generate revenue, which both railway and IRCTC will share.

Mini Ratna Enterprise will also be responsible for operation and maintenance of rooms.

The ministry of railway has already put up a circular mentioning all the guidelines so that the whole process must be put into action. Agreements and tender process are yet to be signed and initiated.

IRCTC has confirmed that there will no alteration whatsoever into the basic structure or heritage facades during renovation process.

Few retiring rooms at certain stations are kept outside the renovation purview as they have been recently redeveloped by IRSDC (Indian Railway Station Development Corporation). Those stations are –

Gandhinagar, Anand Vihar Terminal, Surat, Habibganj and Bijwasan.

In a first of its kind initiative in Mumbai 36 railway stations will get makeover in a rather different way.

Central And Western Railways collaborated with Mumbai First and Make a Difference (M.A.D.) to create awareness regarding the programme. To create awareness between people, 50 Royal Enfield Bikers took up the cause on to Mumbai’s streets on Sunday.

15 central line stations and 21 western line stations will be given makeover by adding local flavor.

Thousands of people have signed up for the initiative in which these suburban stations will be developed according to the needs of local passengers.

Few stations, which are chosen for the makeover, are as follows –

Mumbai Central, Marine Lines, Elphinstone Road, Kandivali, Lower Parel, Churchgate, Charni Road, Grant Road, Borivali, Andheri, Santacruz, Mahalaxmi, Dadar, Matunga, Jogeshwari, Vile Parle, Bandra, Khar, Maladm, Goregaon and Dahisar.

रेल मंत्री सुरेश प्रभु एक दिन आये क्या, हिसार रेलवे स्टेशन का काया कल्प ही बदल गया था| पर अब वही पुरानी जिंदगी लौट आयी है जिसमे जारो तरफ अव्यवस्था है और गन्दगी का आलम है| हिसार स्टेशन बीकानेर मंडल के अंदर आता है जिसे रेल मंत्री के दौरे के उपलक्ष में हर तरह से साफ़ किया गया था|

यात्रयों पर गन्दगी फैलाने के लिए 500 रुपये तक का जुरमाना लगाने की बात भी सामने आयी थी| निर्धारित स्टालों से अधिक स्टाल हटवा दिए गए थे, कोल्ड-ड्रिंक्स और फल बेचने वाले ठेले भी नजर नहीं आ रहे थे| इतना ही नहीं, टिकेट काउंटर के आसपास यात्रयों को बैठने तक नहीं दिया जा रहा था|

ये सारे कदम बस रेल मंत्री के आने तक ही दिखे| सारे स्टाल और ठेले वापस वहीँ आ गए हैं और यात्री उनसे सामान खरीद कर गंदगी फैलाते नज़र आ रहे हैं| लावारिस पशु भी घूमते टहलते दिख जा रहे रहे| दिखावे की हद्द तो तब पर हो गयी थी जब रेल परिसर में ऑटो रिक्शा का आना पूर्णतया बंद कर दिया गया था|

Several trains arrived too late at Hapur Station due to technical fault. Memu Express, which runs between Moradabad and Delhi, arrived 6 hours late from its normal schedule time of 7 hrs and 50 minutes. It is a very important train for passengers who travel from Moradabad to Delhi daily for work.

Shaheed Express also arrived at 02:30 PM; four hours late from its normal time while Malda Town that arrives Hapur at 13:00 hrs was unable to reach till late evening.

रेल राज्य मंत्री मनोज सिन्हा ने औपचारिक तौर पर एलान किया है कि इस वर्ष भारतीय रेल पूरे 1.21 लाख करोड़ रूपए विभिन्न प्रोजेक्ट्स पर खर्च करेगी| मनोज सिन्हा का कहना है कि पिछले वर्ष रेलवे इतने बड़े स्तर पर खर्च करने के लिए तैयार नहीं था क्योंकि अचानक ही बहुत से बड़े प्रोजेक्ट्स सामने आ गए थे| इस वर्ष सभी प्रोजेक्ट्स पर विचार विमर्श कर उन्हें शुरू किया जाएगा|

पिछले पांच सालों का औसत व्यय 46,000 करोड़ रूपए रहा है जो पिछले वर्ष 1 लाख करोड़ पहुँच गया|

स्टेशन्स के विकास के लिए सरकार वर्ल्ड बैंक से बात कर रही है, इसके अलावा कुछ जापानी कंपनियां भी आगे आयी हैं|

इसके अलावा रेलवे दिल्ली-कोलकाता और दिल्ली-मुम्बई की यात्रा रात भर की बनाने का पूरा प्रयास कर रहा है| अभी तक रेलवे के पास जो कोच हैं वो इस दूरी को रात भर में पूरी करने के लिए नहीं बने थे, अब ऐसे कोच का निर्माण हो रहा है जो ये दूरी तेजी से तय सीमा के अंदर कर लें |

"इलेक्शन से पहले लोग चाहते हैं की विकास की गाडी अपने टॉप गियर में आ जाये पर ये इतना आसान नहीं होता है जितना सोचने में लगता है| इतने कम समय में सभी काम एक साथ नहीं हो सकते| हमने बीच में होने वाले भ्र्ष्टाचार को नियंत्रित कर लिया है और विकास की गाडी पटरी पे आ चुकी है|"

Delhi-Amritsar and Amritsar-Pathankot train service came to halt due to farmer’s agitation. Agitating farmers came on track and stopped several trains entering into city.

Kishan Sangharsh Committee led farmers to take their agitation on railway tracks to fulfill their demand of increase in current purchase price on Basmati Rice. Apart from this farmers also wants to wave of their existing loans plus a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to family of those farmers who committed suicide with a government job to next of their kin.
