बुधवार को दो अलग अलग स्थानों पर पटना गया रेलखंड में रेल मार्ग पर दरारें आ गयीं| पोटही के समीप डाउन मार्ग पर सुबह 7 बजे इसकी सूचना मिली और पुनपुन घाट के पास दोबारा डाउन मार्ग पर ही करीब 11 बजे इसकी सूचना मिली| सूचना मिलते ही रेलकर्मियों द्वारा इसे वापस ठीक कर लिया गया और 12बजे तक डाउन मार्ग की गाड़ियां पुनः पूर्ण रूप से चलायमान कर दी गयीं| 

दरार की वजह से गाड़ियां करीब 1 घण्टे के विलम्ब से रवाना हो सकीं|

भागलपुर-दुमका पैसेंजर का पहला दिन काफी चहल पहल भरा रहा, जहाँ एक ओर हंसडीहा में इसके स्वागत की तैयारियां हुईं तो दूसरी और समाज कल्याण मंत्री डॉ. लुइस मरांडी ने इसमें सफर किया| दुमका रेलवे स्टेशन पर भारतीय जनता पार्टी के बहुत से कार्यकर्ता जमा हुए ट्रैन के स्वागत के लिए| 

इसके अलावा बढ़ैत में हाल्ट के निर्माण को लेकर ज्ञापन भी सौंपा गया| ये स्टेशन हंसडीहा और कुरमाहाट के बीच आता है परंतु ये ट्रैन के हाल्ट के लायक नहीं है|

Shadow Trains - name sounds so inviting and if started, trains will also invite passengers to travel hassle free. The idea behind shadow trains is to closely follow their original counterpart with a gap 20 to 30 minutes.

Railway is monitoring those routes, which are always packed and passengers always rush to get any available train like on Bengaluru-Chennai routes, Bengaluru-Howrah, Bengaluru-Belgaum or Bengaluru-Ernakulam.

The main idea is to control rush of passengers on extra busy routes as most of the time there is instant unavailability of tickets. Trains like Shatabdi or Kanyakumari express are always full. Railway is closely monitoring the situation; once finalized it might implement the idea soon.

Railway official says that the main hurdle in operating shadow trains is availability of route because it is not only rush of passengers on these routes but there is also continuous rail traffic. In addition, railway do not want to loose there passengers who always prefer AC coaches to travel as they are a good source of revenue.

Railway has already introduced an alternative train scheme under - Vikalp option. If your ticket is not confirmed on a particular route say for Rajdhani, then Railway will try to accommodate you in another train heading towards the same destination on the same day itself. This facility is only available on tickets booked through internet and is limited to very small sector, as it requires lots of automated calculation.

You might have heard music in some Shatabdi Express trains while travelling; basically it used to be some classical instrumental or sometimes songs which are outdated. Things might change now as Indian railways are in talks with some private firms to start such service in more than 1000 trains.

Once installed it will not only play your favorite latest songs of bollywood, but it will also be used to announce station names, upcoming stations or routes. Also it can be used by Loco Pilot and train guard in case of any emergency announcement. However railway is not in the mood to invest on its own; the service will totally be offered by private firms who will be finalized to invest and operate. 

आगामी दुर्गा पूजा महोत्सव और उसके बाद दिवाली के कारण यात्री यातायात का अतिरिक्त दबाव रेलवे पर रा रहा है जिसे देखते हुए अस्थाई तौर से उत्तर पश्चिम रेलवे ने जयपुर-पुणे-जयपुर सुपरफास्ट एक्सप्रेस में एक अतिरिक्त तीसरे श्रेणी का वातानुकूलित कोच लगाने की घोषणा की है|
12940 / 12939 में 1 अक्टूबर से 15 नवम्बर तक जयपुर से और 2 अक्टूबर से 16 नवम्बर तक पुणे से अस्थाई डिबे की संख्या बढ़ाई जाएगी|
आपको बता दें की ये गाडी सवाई माधोपुर, कोटा, रतलाम और वडोदरा होते हुए जयपुर से पुणे जाती है और रेलवे के इस निर्णय से कुछ सहूलियत यात्रयों को मिलेगी|

उत्तर पश्चिम रेलवे ने जयपुर-सीकर-जयपुर के बीच चलने वाली विशेष रेलगाड़ियों की संचालन अवधी बढ़ा दी है| तीन विशेष गाड़ियां जयपुर और सीकर के बीच चल रही थी जिनकी अवधि बढाकर 14 नवम्बर तक कर दी गयी है|
जिन तीन गाड़ियों की संचालन अवधी बढ़ी है वो इस प्रकार हैं-

Indian Railway is gearing to launch more insurance options for train passengers. After initial success of 1-rupee travel insurance, Indian Railways are in talks with insurance companies to offer mobile, laptop or other precious items insurance.

Every year 8 to 10 thousand mobile and laptops are stolen from passengers while travelling. As per current rules if your mobile, laptop or any other stuff gets stolen on train, first you need to report to attendant or conductor, then only you can register your complain to GRP. This insurance will also cover if train is robbed in between journey. However, this time do not expect it to be cheap as 1-rupee (92 paise to be precise) travel insurance; this time you have to pay as much Rs 5.

This scheme can be launched on November 1 on IRCTC website initially. While booking your ticket you can opt for the insurance if you wish for. In later stages, this insurance facility will also be available for passengers purchasing unreserved ticket.

साउथ ईस्ट सेंट्रल रेलवे ने नोटिफिकेशन जारी करते हुए हर वर्ष के समान इस वर्ष भी नवरात्रि के शुभ अवसर पर मैहर स्टेशन को दो मिनट का अस्थाई ठहराव बना दिया है|हर वर्ष नवरात्रि पर मैहर बड़ी संख्या में दर्शनार्थी जाते हैं, जिसे देखते हुए रेलवे हर वर्ष नवरात्री के मौके पर मैहर स्टेशन को अस्थाई हाल्ट घोसित कर देता है|दुर्ग-नौतनवा-दुर्ग एक्सप्रेस - 18201 / 18202 और दुर्ग-नौतनवा-दुर्ग एक्सप्रेस 18205 / 18206 को रेलवे ने 1 अक्टूबर से 15 अक्टूबर तक 2 मिनट का हाल्ट मैहर स्टेशन को बनाया है|

The electrification project between Pune and Daund was undergoing for three and half years now. After facing several hurdles like non-availability of space to set up power station, it is now in final stage.

The first trial run of electric-locomotive was successfully completed on Tuesday. Railway authorities flagged off electric-locomotive from Pune in the afternoon reached Daund and returned to Pune without facing any technical glitch or hurdle.

Now some basic work is still left to run local trains on a continuous basis, like leveling of platforms as per the height of local train; increasing length of platforms to accommodate local trains.

After completion of work, safety checks will be carried out for passenger safety; once finalized, it is then only railway will flag off full-fledged operation of local trains.

It’s raining special trains this festive season. Indian railways announced yet another special train (fully AC) that will run from Durgapura station of Jaipur to Hyderabad from October 3.

Train will run from Hyderabad from October 3 onwards to 10, 17, 24, 31 till November 7 and 14 with the train number 02731 at 9PM in night and will reach Durgapura at 3:35am on third day. While going Durgapura, this train will stop at Ballarshah nest from the day of departure i.e. 4, 11, 18, 25, Novenmber 1, 8 and 15 at 3:25AM and Nagpur at 07:35 morning.

The train from Durgapura with train number 02732 will depart on October 5, 12, 19, 26, November 2, 9 at 09:20 PM and will reach Hyderabad at 5:10AM on third day.

The decided stoppages of the train are - Mancherial, Sirpur Kagaj Nagar, Kazipeth, Ramagundam, Ballarshah, Nagpur, Itarsi, Bhopal, Sujalpur, Ujjain, Nagda, Secunderabad and Savai Madhopurr.

15-coach special AC train will comprise of 11 3AC coaches, two 2AC coaches and two luggage vans.
