नई दिल्ली।। दिल्ली के नांगलोई रेलवे स्टेशन के पास गुरुवार शाम को स्थानीय लोगों ने जमकर हंगामा किया। लोगों ने दिल्ली-रोहतक पैसेंजर ट्रेन पर पथराव किया, जिससे कई लोगों को चोट लगी। बताया जाता है कि कुछ दिन पहले कुछ यात्रियों ने स्थानीय लोगों के साथ मारपीट की थी, इसी का बदला लेने के लिए यह पत्थरबाजी की गई।

गुरुवार शाम को नांगलोई स्टेशन के आस-पास रहने वाले लोगों ने दिल्ली-रोहतक पैसेंजर ट्रेन को जबरन रुकवाया। इसके बाद पत्थरबाजी शुरू कर दी गई। बताया जाता है कि कुछ लोगो ने कोच में घुस यात्रियों से मारपीट भी की।

रेलवे पुलिस ने मौके पर पहुंचकर किसी तरह स्थिति को संभाला। इस हंगामे के कारण ट्रेन करीब 45 मिनट तक रुकी रही।

चारधाम यात्रेसाठी खापरखेडा व नागपूर येथून गेलेले ४० प्रवासी गुरुवारी सुखरूप परतले . या यात्रेकरूंचे नागपूर रेल्वे स्थानकावर स्वागत करण्यात आले .

ओम ट्रव्हल्स व राहुल ट्रव्हल्सने खापरखेडा व नागपूरचे काही प्रवासी १० जूनला हरीद्वारला गेले होते . १६ जूनला गंगोत्रीला जाताना हे प्रवासी पुरात अडकले . त्यामुळे बरकोट येथे सहा दिवस यात्रेकरूंनी एका धर्मशाळेत काढले . त्यानंतर स्वतःचा बचाव करीत हे यात्रेकरून नागपूरकडे रवाना झालेत . मुसळधार पावसापासून व निसर्गाच्या प्रकोपासून वाचण्याकरिता होटेलच्या छताखाली ४ तास उभे राहण्यासाठी त्यांना पाच हजार रुपये मोजावे लागले .

पाण्याच्या बाटलीसाठी ४० रुपये , जेवणासाठी १५० रुपये , चहा २० रुपये अशा दराने त्यांना जीवनावश्यक वस्तूंसाठी पैसे मोजावे लागले . प्रशासकीय यंत्रणेकडून कोणतीही मदत मिळाली नसल्याचा संतापही यापैकी अनेक यात्रेकरूंनी व्यक्त केला .

निजामुद्दीन-पुणे दुरांतो एक्सप्रेसच्या इंजिनवर शुक्रवारी सकाळी दरड कोसळली. सुदैवाने या घटनेत जीवितहानी झाली नसून सर्व प्रवासी सुखरुप असल्याचे कळते. मात्र दरड कोसळून माती आणि दगड रेल्वे रुळावर आल्याने मुंबईहून पुण्याकडे जाणारा रेल्वेमार्ग ठप्प झाला आहे. पुण्याहून मुंबईकडे येणा-या रेल्वेमार्गावरील वाहतूक सुरळीत आहे.

शुक्रवारी सकाळी मंकी हिलजवळील रेल्वेमार्गावर दरड कोसळून माती आणि दगड रेल्वेमार्गावर आले. यावेळी तेथून जाणा-या निजामुद्दीन-पुणे दुरांतो एक्सप्रेसच्या इंजिनावर देखील ही माती आली. मात्र दुरांतोच्या इंजिनाला मोठा फटका बसला नाही. एक्सप्रेस तत्काळ थांबवण्यात आली. या घटनेनंतर सर्व प्रवासी सुखरुप असल्याची माहिती रेल्वेप्रशासनाकडून देण्यात आली आहे. मात्र दरड कोसळून रेल्वेमार्गावर आलेली माती हटवण्याचे काम पूर्ण होईपर्यंत मुंबईहून पुण्याकडे जाणारी रेल्वे मार्गाची वाहतूक बंद ठेवण्यात आली आहे. पुण्याहून मुंबईकडे येणा-या गाड्यामात्र सुरळीत आहेत, अशी माहिती मिळते.

लोणावळा,दि.२८- मुंबई-पुणे रेल्वे मार्गावर खंडाळा घाटात दुरांतो एक्सप्रेसच्या इंजिनवर दरड कोसळल्याची घटना शुक्रवारी सकाळी घडली.यात इंजिनचालकासह गाडीतील सर्व प्रवासी सुरक्षित आहे.
सकाळी साडे सहाच्या सुमारात पुण्याच्या दिशेने जाणा-या निजामुद्दिन-पुणे दुरांतो एक्सप्रेसच्या इंजिनवर खंडाळ्यातील मंकी हिल पॉईंटजवळ दरड कोसळली. सुदैवाने या दुर्घटनेतून इंजिन चालक बचावला असून गाडीतील अन्य प्रवासीही सुखरुप आहेत. मात्र यामुळे मुंबईहून पुण्याकडे जाणा-या एक्सप्रेस गाड्यांची वाहतूक खोळंबली आहे.दरम्यान, मदतकार्यासाठी रेल्वेच्या तज्ज्ञाचे मदत पथक लोणावळा येथे दाखल झाल्याचे वृत्त आहे.

MUMBAI: A Churchgate-Dahanu local left Palghar without a guard on Thursday morning. The guard, Radheshyam Sharma (55), had alighted in Palghar allegedly to have a cup of tea.

Western Railway (WR) has issued a chargesheet to Sharma for dereliction of a duty. A departmental inquiry has been ordered against Sharma and formal punishment will be handed out to him after the investigation is complete.

Sharma has denied that he had stepped out for tea. He claimed that he had alighted from the train to inspect one of the compartments after commuters complained about noise coming from it.

A senior WR official said, "Sharma's explanation does not seem tenable. I am sure he panicked when he spotted the train leaving without him."

The incident occurred soon after the local from Churchgate reached Palghar station at 7.24am. The train left Palghar at 7.25am and reached Boisar at 7.47am without the guard.

When Sharma spotted the moving local, he alerted the station authorities but the train had already covered significant distance. He then hailed an auto to catch up with the train at Boisar station. By the time he reached Boisar, the train had already moved to the next station.

Under the norms, a motorman should start the train only after the guard rings the bell. An official said, "It is not clear why the motorman left the station without the guard ringing the bell. It appears that there was some miscommunication and the motorman realized that there was no guard on board only after the train reached Boisar."What does a guard do?

The guard alerts motormen in case of an emergency and gives them the signal for departure after ensuring all commuters are on board. In case of an accident, the guard, along with railway cops, ensures the track is cleared for the next train. The guard is also expected to apply emergency brakes if he notices the motorman over-shooting the platform or jumping the signal

To carry out maintenance work of track, signaling & overhead equipments, a jumbo block of five hours will be taken between Santacruz and Goregaon stations from 10.35 hrs to 15.35 hrs o­n Sunday i.e 30th June, 2013 o­n Up & Down through i.e fast lines.



During the block period, all Up & Down fast line trains will run o­n slow lines between Santacruz and Goregaon stations. Some Up & Down local trains will remain cancelled.

Reliance Infra, which runs the Delhi Airport Metro line, has refused to operate it beyond June 30th, a notice rejected by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Friday which termed it as a "violation" of the Concession agreement and the ongoing arbitration proceedings.However, if Reliance Infra does not operate it, DMRC will step in and run it, DMRC Chairman Sudhir Krishna said.Reliance Infra owned Delhi Airport Metro Private Limited (DAMEPL) has written a letter on June 27 expressing its inability to continue operations from the night of June 30.The Board of Directors of DMRC, which met to discuss the matter, concluded that the "notice is in violation of the Concession Agreement and the ongoing arbitration proceedings", an official statement said here.The statement by Sudhir Krishna, Secretary, Urban Development Ministry and Chairman, DMRC, said "the Board decided to reject the notice and call upon them to continue the operations of the line in terms of the Agreement. If, however, they do not do so, DMRC shall step in and operate the line in larger public interest."

The Airport Metro line, which is the country's first Public Private Partnership (PPP), has had a tumultuous run beset with controversies after it began operations in February 2011.

The services were suspended from July 7, 2012 to January 22, 2013 due to technical problems and after reopening, the speed was cut to 50 km per hour, extending journey time from the airport to New Delhi Railway Station to over 40 minutes, which resulted in a fall in ridership.

Reliance Infra refuses to operate Airport Metro, DMRC to run it:

Before the suspension of services, the ridership hovered around 20,000 to 21,000 but after the resumption, the ridership was nearly halved to around 10,000.

Sources in Reliance Infra said the decision to shut operations was not new as they had taken up the matter with DMRC four-five months ago.
They said that during the shutdown incident, the company incurred huge losses and even now the ridership was very low, implying that the operation was not commercially viable.

A senior Reliance Infra official said their decision to terminate the services was "not new" and it was "pending for the last four-five months".

The official claimed DMRC could not rectify the structural defects in the Airport Metro line in time and they had to shut down operations for a longer period.

"We incurred huge losses due to it and after resumption of services, there was a 50 per cent drop in ridership," he said.

Asked about DMRC's charge that Reliance Infra has violated the agreement and the arbitration process, the official said they do not agree with such claims.

The high-speed Metro corridor connects the city centre of Connaught Place with the swanky Terminal-3 of the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

SWR CONDUCTS 53RD TOWN OFFICIAL LANGUAUGE IMPLEMENTATION COMMITTEE (TOLIC) MEETING ATHUBLI


The 53rd meeting of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC) presided over by Shri A.K.Mital, Chairman of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee & General Manager of South Western Railway was held at Railway Officers Club (ROC), Hubli o­n Wednesday, the 26th June, 2013. The meeting was also attended by all the Heads of Central Govt. Offices, Banks, Public Sector Undertakings etc. located in Twin cities of Hubli-Dharwad.
In his presidential address, Shri ASHOK KUMAR MITAL, the Chairman of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee & General Manager of South Western Railway, noted that Hindi has been given a status of official language of the Union of India  in constitution and provisions have been made in Official language Act and Rules  under the constitution that official work should be done originally in Hindi.He suggested the officers to write at least o­ne or two lines in Hindi language in their notings, endorsements, correspondence etc.daily, so that their subordinate officials can be motivated to write in Hindi. He emphasized the use of technology in propagation of Hindi by using Unicode and o­nline would definitely help all employees.
Shri Mital suggested the members of TOLIC to conduct various Hindi programmes under the common banner of TOLIC during Hindi fortnight/week to be observed during September in consultation with the sub-committee comprised of Hindi officers of various offices in the twin city.
Earlier, while welcoming the TOLIC members, Shri O.P. Khare, Vice Chairman of the TOLIC, Mukhya Rajbhasha Adhikari & Controller of Stores, South Western Railway, highlighted the achievements of the committee during the last six months.He further said that TOLIC is a forum which provides opportunities to member offices to jointly help and cooperate each other in achieving the targets prescribed in Annual Programme  by department of Official language and in conducting Hindi progrmmes under the auspices  of TOLIC.
Shri Ajay Kumar Shrivastav, Deputy Director(Implementation), Department of Official Language/Bangalore, who attended the meeting, reviewed the reports received from various offices and urged the members to send their Quarterly Hindi Progressive Report o­n o­nline.He also demonstrated how to register o­nline to Rajbhasha department portal by registering some offices.  He urged the members to send their reports in time for reviewing the same.
The Member Secretary of the TOLIC, Smt. C. Latha, Rajbhasha Adhikari, SWR submitted the Progress report through power point presentation and conducted a successful deliberations.The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Shri Sachin.R.Jain,Rajbhasha Adhikari/Hqrs/Hubli.

केन्द्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने आज मुंबई मेट्रो लाइन-3 कोलाबा-बांद्रा-सांताक्रूज विद्युत निर्यात प्रसंस्करण क्षेत्र (कोलाबा-बांद्रा-एसईईपीजेड) गलियारे को मंजूरी दे दी। इसके अलावा मौजूदा राज्य स्तर स्पेशल पर्पज व्हीकल (एसपीवी)-मुंबई मेट्रो रेल निगम (एमएमआरसी) को भारत सरकार और महाराष्ट्र सरकार के संयुक्त उपक्रम वाली कंपनी के रूप में तबदील करने को भी मंजूरी दी गई है। इसमें दोनों की हिससेदारी का अनुपात 50:50 होगा।

परियोजना को पूर्ण करने की कुल अनुमानित लागत 23,136 करोड़ है जिसमें 33.5 कि.मी. (पूर्ण रूप से भूमिगत) की कुल लंबाई होगी। विस्तृत परियोजना रिपोर्ट के अनुसार स्टैंडर्ड गेज पर काम होगा।

मुंबई लाइन-3 की परियोजना वित्त वर्ष 2013-14 से शुरू होने की तिथि से छह वर्ष के भीतर मार्च 2019 में पूरी की जाएगी।

इस परियोजना के लागू होने से मुंबई की ज़रूरत के रूप में अतिरिक्त परिवहन बुनियादी ढांचा प्राप्त होगा।
