Metro train services here would be extended with the launch of 10.3 km line connecting industrial hub of Peenya and Sampige Road Station in the city from September.Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, in a written reply to a question by Appaji Nadagouda (Congress) in the Legislative Assembly, noted that this stretch of 10.30 km has 10 stations. Trains would run between Jalahalli and Hesaraghatta Cross (2.5 km stretch) from March next.Change of metro alignment at the Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology would cost additional Rs 145 crore to the state exchequer. Meanwhile, officials said clearance from the Centre for the ‘Namma Metro’ works of phase-II covering 72 kms at a cost of Rs 26,045 crore is expected shortly.The government has done a feasibility study for suburban rail system connecting Bangalore to Tumkur and Ramanagaram, among others. The project is expected to cost Rs 8,759 crore.A detailed project report for phase-I would be prepared, officials said, adding special purpose — Bangalore Sub-Urban Rail Corporation — would be set up for implementing this project.

Ludhiana : The railway authorities today removed three illegal vends including a tea stall constructed at the sales tax gate on the railway station premises.Sources said Commercial Divisional Manager (CDM) Upjit Singh had recently visited the railway station and instructed the Government Railway Police (GRP) officials to remove all the encroachments on the station premises.The GRP officials said there were around 12 encroachments on the station premises. Most of the encroachers were vendors.Yashwant Singh, in-charge, Government Railway Police, said, "As per the instructions of higher authorities we have removed all the encroachments from the railway premises. Except for one, all the encroachments were temporary. The permanent one which was a tea stall has also been removed.”The railway authorities also removed a hair dresser’s vend and a paan stall that were set up at the sales tax gate of the station. The GRP staff yesterday had also removed vends from the main entrance of the railway station."Now there is no encroachment on the railway station premises. The Railways does not allow anyone to encroach upon its space to run any commercial set-up. We have instructed all the vendors not to install vends on the station premises. Violators will be fined on the spot,” said Yashwant Singh.

Due to construction of ROB (Road Over Bridge) in lieu of Level Crossing Gate No. 21-C, there will be six no. of traffic blocks of 3.00 hrs. each from 00.40 midnight to 03.40 a.m. from 23.07.2013 to 28.07.2013 for launching of PSC girders at Bijwasan yard over Delhi Division. During the period of traffic blocks upto 28.07.2013, the following trains scheduled to run o­n the section will temporarily be regulated as under:-

·The 19609 Ajmer- Haridwar express train will be regulated at Gurgaon for 75 minutes o­n 23, 26 & 28.07.2013.

·The 19610 Haridwar- Ajmer express train will be regulated at Delhi Jn. for 85 minutes o­n 24 & 27.07.2013.

रेल्वेस्टेशन ते क्रांतीचौक या रस्त्याचे काम तात्काळ सुरू करा, असे आदेश खासदार चंद्रकांत खैरे यांनी पालिका अधिकाऱ्यांना दिले. मंगळवारी त्यांनी या रस्त्याच्या कामाची पाहणी केली. रस्त्याच्या कामासाठी आवश्यक असलेले भूसंपादन लवकर करा असेही त्यांनी अधिकाऱ्यांना सांगितले. रस्त्याच्या संदर्भात उद्या बुधवारी खैरे यांच्या उपस्थितीत बैठक होणार आहे.

रेल्वेस्टेशन ते क्रांतीचौक या रस्त्याचे काम गेल्या काही दिवसांपासून रखडले आहे. हे काम सुरू व्हावे यासाठी नगरसेवक विजय वाघचौरे यांनी पालिका प्रशासनाकडे अनेकवेळा पाठपुरावा केला होता. त्यांच्या पाठपुराव्याची दखल घेऊन गेल्या आठवड्यात महापौर कला ओझा यांनी या रस्त्याच्या कामाची पाहणी केली होती. रस्त्याचे काम तात्काळ सुरू करण्याचे आदेश त्यांनी पालिका अधिकारी व रस्त्याच्या कामाचे ठेकेदार यांना दिले होते. महापौरांनी आदेश दिल्यावरही रस्त्याचे काम सुरू झाले नाही. त्यामुळे आज मंगळवारी खासदार चंद्रकांत खैरे यांनी या रस्त्याच्या कामाला भेट दिली. यावेळी महापौर कला ओझा, सभागृहनेता सुशिल खेडकर, माजी सभापती विकास जैन, नगरसेवक विजय वाघचौरे, पालिकेचे कार्यकारी अभियंता सखाराम पानझडे, उपअभियंता के.आर. कुलकर्णी यांच्यासह अन्य अधिकारी उपस्थित होते. रस्त्याच्या कामात भूसंपादनाचा अडथळा असल्याचे लक्षात आल्यावर आवश्यक ते भूसंपादन लकर करा असे आदेश खैरे यांनी दिले. ' भूसंपादनाची प्रक्रीया पूर्ण होईपर्यंत रस्त्याचा जो भाग पालिकेच्या ताब्यात आहे, त्यावर काम सुरू करा, ' असे आदेश खैरे यांनी दिले.

NEW DELHI: IRCTC has entered the online shopping segment in partnership with retail company Yebhi.com. The latter will develop and manage the e-commerce platform for the Indian Railways subsidiary via its unit Shop Online Trading Pvt Ltd (SOTPL).

According to the contract, SOTPL will be deploying the entire online shopping platform for IRCTC within 60 days from the date of signing of the agreement. It will be responsible for end-to-end customer experience, from user interface to final delivery of the product to the customer.

This deal is based on a tender that IRCTC opened in February this year to shortlist a partner for its online shopping platform. The tender was open for established e-commerce companies with minimum annual turnover of Rs 40 crore from B2C e-commerce business in the last financial year. The applicants were also required to have a catalogue of over 500 brands and offer merchandize from minimum five product categories.

The IRCTC portal gets approximately 1.2 million daily visits and generates 180 million transactions annually. This is the highest among all e-commerce websites in the country.

“Science Express-Fifth Phase (Biodiversity Special)” To Put Up Exhibitions on SCR


The Ministry of Railways is running the fifth Phase of “Science Exhibition-Biodiversity Special”, a mobile Exhibition Train, o­n the request of Department of Science & Technology and Ministry of Environment & Forest, Govt. of India.  A treasure trove of knowledge, the “Science Express-Biodiversity Special” will be o­n display at Kakinada and Renigunta Railway Stations in South Central Railway  as per the following itinerary:-

Efforts are on to find remaining funds for the Nettoor Railway Overbridge, said Union Minister K V Thomas. Of the total project cost of  Rs 8.5 crore, an amount of Rs 3 crore has already been allotted from the MP fund and joint efforts are being made to raise the remaining amount, he said.“We have been trying to find the remaining amount from Public Sector Units like Kochi Refinery. Talks are being held in this regard. Otherwise, it can be included under the JNNURM projects also. That possibility is also being worked out. If included in JNNURM, then it would be a 50-50 shared basis,” K V Thomas said.Assuring that the project is still on track, the Minister said that construction of the ROB has been entrusted with the Roads and Bridges Corporation. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) has been prepared and approvals have been obtained. “The Railways do not want to have a manned gate at this place. That’s why we decided to go for an over bridge. Now getting the remaining funds is the only bottleneck. Minister K Babu has also agreed to contribute from his MLA fund,” said K V Thomas adding that a meeting was held the other day in this regard with the Union Railway Minister.

भिवानी
मथुरा में लगने वाले जयगुरुदेव मेले के लिए उत्तर पश्चिम रेलवे भिवानी और मथुरा के बीच चलने वाली 54792/54791 यात्री गाड़ी में 18 से 24 जुलाई तक तीन अतिरिक्त कोच लगाए जाएंगे।
इसके अतिरिक्त रेलवे ने जयपुर हिसार जयपुर व रेवाड़ी हिसार रेवाड़ी के बीच चलने वाली यात्री गाड़ी में एक-एक अतिरिक्त कोच लगाया जाएगा। हिसार-जयपुर के बीच दौडऩे वाली 59702/59701 सवारी गाड़ी में एक-एक अतिरिक्त साधारण कोच बढ़ाया जाएगा। इसी प्रकार रेवाड़ी-हिसार-रेवाड़ी गाड़ी संख्या 59704/59703 में भी एक अतिरिक्त कोच लगाया जाएगा। अतिरिक्त कोच 18 जुलाई से 17 अगस्त तक लगाए गए हैं।
सावन में मथुरा जाने वाले श्रद्धालुओं की संख्या अधिक हो जाती है। इसे देखते हुए रेलवे यात्री गाडिय़ों में अतिरिक्त कोच की सुविधा दी है ताकि यात्रियों का सफर सुविधाजनक बना रहे। एक कोच में कम से कम सौ यात्री यात्रा कर सकते हैं।
इस संबंध में उत्तर पश्चिम रेलवे के मुख्य जनसंपर्क अधिकारी तरुण जैन ने बताया कि यात्रियों के अतिरिक्त भार को देखते हुए कोचों की संख्या बढ़ाई

परभणीः मुंबई-अजनी एक्सप्रेस , नांगलडॅम-नांदेड या दोन रेल्वे लवकरच सुरू होणार असल्याची माहिती रेल्वेच्या सुत्रांनी दिली. अजनी ते मुंबई ही साप्ताहिक एक्सप्रेस सोमवारी ३ वाजून ५० ‌मिनीटांनी लोकमान्य टर्मिनस मुंबईवरून सुटणार आहे. ती औरंगाबाद , जालना , परभणी , पूर्णा , वसमत , हिंगोली , वाशीम , अकोला मार्गे अजनी येथे दुसऱ्या दिवशी सकाळी ९ वाजून १५ मिनीटांनी पोहचाणार आहे. परतीच्या प्रवासासाठी ही गाडी अजनीहून शुक्रवारी दुपारी ४ वाजून १५ मिनीटांनी सुटून शनिवारी रात्री मुंबईला पोहचाणार आहे. नांगलडॅम-नांदेड ही रेल्वे गुरुवारी दुपारी ४.४५ वाजता सुटून आनंदपूर , चंदीगढ , अकोला , हिंगोली , वसमत , पूर्णा मार्गे नांदेडला शुक्रवारी रात्री ११. ४५ वाजता पोहचेल. परतीच्या प्रवासाला शनिवारी दु. ११ वाजता निघेल.
