दिल्ली से रेवाड़ी, भिवाड़ी- अलवर के लिए रीजनल रैपिड ट्रांजिट सिस्टम के तहत मेट्रो ट्रेन रूट पांच साल में बनकर तैयार हो जाएगा। गुरुवार को दिल्ली के निर्माण भवन में इस संबंध में कंपनी गठन के लिए दिल्ली, राजस्थान, हरियाणा और उत्तर प्रदेश की राज्य सरकारों, केंद्र सरकार और रेलवे के अधिकारियों ने एमओयू पर हस्ताक्षर किए।



राजस्थान सरकार की ओर से मुख्य सचिव सीके मैथ्यू ने साइन किए। अब एनसीआर ट्रांसपोर्ट कॉर्पोरेशन कंपनी का गठन होगा, जो आठ रेल गलियारों का निर्माण करेगी। इसके पहले चरण में दिल्ली-अलवर (180 किमी), दिल्ली-पानीपत (111 किमी) और दिल्ली-मेरठ (90 किमी) मेट्रो ट्रैक का निर्माण कार्य पांच साल में पूरा करेगी।



मुख्य सचिव सी.के. मैथ्यू ने बताया कि दिल्ली-अलवर रूट में 141 किमी एलिवेटेड और 39 किमी अंडरग्राउंड होगा। इसके लिए ज्यादा जमीन अधिगृहीत करने की जरूरत नहीं होगी।




10 लाख से ज्यादा आबादी वाले शहरों में मेट्रो

एनसीआर प्लानिंग बोर्ड की बैठक में केंद्र सरकार के अधिकारियों ने चारों राज्य सरकारों को कहा कि वे राज्यों के 10 लाख से अधिक आबादी वाले शहरों के सिटी ट्रांसपोर्ट सिस्टम को मजबूत करें। वे ऐसे शहरों के लिए मेट्रो प्रोजेक्ट लाने की संभावनाएं तलाशें।



एमओयू पर हस्ताक्षर के बाद एसीएस जी.एस. संधु ने बताया कि केंद्र सरकार ने पहली बार इतने बड़े प्रोजेक्ट को हरी झंडी दी है। बैठक में रेल बोर्ड के अध्यक्ष अरुणेंद्र कुमार, एनसीआर प्लानिंग बोर्ड की सदस्य सचिव नैनी जयासेलन, डीएमआरसी के एमडी मंगू सिंह, नगरीय विकास विभाग के एसीएस जी.एस. संधु भी मौजूद थे।

बेशक बृहस्पतिवार को राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र (एनसीआर) परिवहन निगम का गठन कर दिया गया, लेकिन अब भी कई सवालों का जवाब नहीं मिल पा रहा है। दिल्ली सरकार के विरोध को लेकर अब तक एक राय नहीं बन पाई है। दिल्ली सरकार चाहती है कि दिल्ली व एनसीआर के शहरों में प्रस्तावित रैपिड ट्रेनों को राजधानी के अंदर नहीं आने दिया जाए। उन्हें राजधानी की सीमाओं पर रोक कर दिल्ली मेट्रो से जोड़ दिया जाए। बृहस्पतिवार को दिल्ली के मुख्यसचिव दीपक मोहन स्पोलिया ने पत्रकारों को बताया कि इस बारे में एनसीआर योजना बोर्ड के अधिकारियों को दिल्ली की चिंता से अवगत करा दिया गया है, संभव है कि इसका जल्द हल निकल जाएगा।
पहले चरण में प्रस्तावित तीन कॉरिडोर पर खर्च कितना आएगा, इस सवाल पर एनसीआर योजना बोर्ड की सचिव नैनी जयशीलन ने कहा कि संभव है कि एक बार फिर से विस्तृत परियोजना रिपोर्ट (डीपीआर) बनानी पड़े। उन्होंने कहा कि वर्ष 2003 में डीपीआर बनाई गई थी। उस समय दिल्ली-अलवर लाइन पर 25 हजार करोड़ रुपये, दिल्ली-पानीपत लाइन पर 14.6 हजार करोड़ रुपये और दिल्ली-मेरठ लाइन पर 16 हजार करोड़ रुपये खर्च का अनुमान लगाया गया था। अब तीनों कॉरिडोर पर 72 हजार करोड़ रुपये खर्च का अनुमान लगाया गया है। इसका आधार पुराना ही है, अब नई रिपोर्ट तैयार की जाएगी।
इधर रैपिड रेल कॉरिडोर के लिए जमीन की उपलब्धता को लेकर पूछे गए सवाल पर केंद्रीय शहरी विकास मंत्रालय के सचिव सुधीर कृष्णा ने स्पष्ट जवाब नहीं दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि चूंकि ये कॉरिडोर एलिवेटिड (ऊपरगामी) होंगे, इसलिए कम जमीन की जरूरत पड़ेगी, केवल स्टेशनों के लिए थोड़ी ज्यादा जगह की जरूरत होगी।
कृष्णा ने कहा कि सरकार का लक्ष्य है कि तीनों कॉरिडोर को अगले पांच साल तक चालू कर दिया जाए, इसलिए राज्य सरकारों से कहा गया है कि वे अपने-अपने क्षेत्र में प्रस्तावित कॉरिडोर के निर्माण में सहयोग के लिए उच्च स्तरीय कमेटी का गठन करें। उन्होंने कहा कि राज्य सरकारों के बीच छोटे-छोटे मुद्दों पर चर्चा जारी रहे हैं और इन्हें जल्द ही सुलझा लिया जाएगा।

नाशिकरोड - दिवाळीच्या सुट्टीत मध्य रेल्वेने सुरु केलेल्या मुंबई-नाशिक हॉलीडे स्पेशल गाडीला प्रवाशांचा भरघोस प्रतिसाद लाभलेला असतांना मुख्यालयाला पाठविण्यात आलेल्या चुकीच्या अहवालामुळे ही गाडी कायमस्वरुपी सुरु होऊ शकली नसल्याची बाब सोमवारी खासदार समीर भुजबळ यांच्या दौर्‍याप्रसंगी उघड झाली. ही गाडी सुरू करण्याबाबत पाठपुरावा करण्याचे आश्वासन यावेळी त्यांनी दिले.

या गाडीच्या प्रतिसादाबाबत माहिती देताना रेल्वे अधिकार्‍यांमध्ये एकमताचा अभाव दिसून आला. दुपारच्या वेळेत मुंबईला जाण्यासाठी नाशिकवरुन गाडी नसल्याने ही गाडी सुरु करण्यासाठी आवश्यक अहवाल मुख्यालयास पाठविल्यास गाडी सुरु होण्यासाठी पाठपुरावा करू असे यावेळी भुजबळ यांनी सांगीतले. कसारा-नाशिक शटल सेवेबाबत केवळ पाठपुरावा करता येईल, प्रशासनाची तयारी नसल्यास आग्रह करता येणार नाही. कसारा-नाशिक प्रवासासाठी पुर्वीपेक्षा फारच कमी वेळ लागत असल्याचे त्यांनी स्पष्ट केले. खासदार समीर भुजबळ यांनी सोमवारी सकाळी सिंहस्थ कुंभमेळ्याच्या पार्श्वभुमीवर नाशिकरोड रेल्वे स्थानकावर कोणती विकास कामे करणे आवश्यक आहे व मंजुर कामांना सुरुवात कधी होणार याची माहिती घेऊन पहाणी केली.संबधित अधिकार्‍यांन सूचना दिल्या. चौथा प्लॅटफॉर्म, बस स्थानकाचे स्थलांतर व सुशोभिकरण, पार्किंग, पुर्व बाजूकडे आरक्षण, तिकिट खिडकी, प्रवेशव्दाराबाबत सूचना दिल्या.

विकासकामांसाठी पाठपुरावा सिंहस्थापुर्वी रेल्वे, बस स्थानकाचे नियोजनबध्द सुशोभिरण व सर्वाधिक विकास कामांसाठी पाठपुरावा सुरु असल्याची माहिती खासदार भुजबळ यांनी पत्रकार परिषदेत दिली. कामे रेल्वे किंवा बाहेरच्या यंत्रणेकडून करणे शक्य आहे त्याचा आढावा घेतला जात आहे. महापालिकेने रेल्वेला देय असलेल्या पैशांबाबत अधिकार्‍यांशी चर्चा केली असून चौथ्या प्लॉट फॉर्म बाबत रेल्वेकडून केलेल्या नियोजनाची माहिती घेतली.

खासदार निधीतुन रुग्णवाहिका दौर्‍याप्रसंगी प्रवाशांनी रुग्णवाहिकेअभावी प्रवाशांचा मृत्यू झाल्याचे सांगितल्यावर खासदार निधीतून तातडीने रुग्णवाहिका देण्याचे आश्वासन समीर भुजबळ यांनी दिले. यावेळी स्येशन अधीक्षक एम. बी. सक्सेना, वाणिज्य अधिकारी एस. डी. किर्तीकर, तांत्रिक अधिकारी सय्यद यांच्यासह विविध अधिकारी तसेच नाशिकरोड राष्ट्रवादीचे अध्यक्ष मनोहर कोरडे, राजेंद्र मोरे आदि उपस्थित होते.

दक्षिण पूर्व मध्य रेल्वेच्या नागपूर विभागाचे नवे अतिरिक्त विभागीय व्यवस्थापक म्हणून ए.के. गुप्ता यांनी नुकताच कार्यभार स्वीकारला. एस.के. गुप्ता हे यापूर्वी दक्षिण पूर्व रेल्वेत खडगपूर येथे मुख्य कारखाना प्रबंधक (वॉगन) या पदावर कार्यरत होते. गुप्ता हे इंडियन रेल्वे सव्‍‌र्हिस इन मेकॅनिकल इंजिनियरिंग (आय.आर.एस.एम.ई)च्या १९८७ च्या तुकडीतील बी.टेक. (मेकॅनिकल) आहेत. १९८९ साली भारतीय रेल्वेच्या सेवेत आलेल्या गुप्ता यांनी यांत्रिकी विषयांशी जुळलेल्या निरनिराळ्या योजनांमध्ये त्यांचे महत्त्वाचे योगदान दिले आहे. यापूर्वी नागपूर विभागात अतिरिक्त व्यवस्थापक पदावर असलेले शैबाल बोस यांची मुख्य यांत्रिकी अभियंता (योजना व कारखाना) या पदावर बिलासपूर येथे बदली झाली आहे.

A suburban corridor and automatic signalling have been mooted by the Railways to introduce more trains and Mainline Electric Multiple Units (MEMU) to end hardship faced by commuters, especially short-distance commuters.Participating at a meet-the-press of the Press Club here on Wednesday, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Rajesh Agrawal said the Railways had submitted a proposal to the government on automatic signalling, which could be justified only for such corridors.Thiruvananthapuram is an ideal location for setting up a suburban corridor and the first one could be Thiruvananthapuram–Kayamkulam. Taking into account the special situation in the State and the overdependence on trains, the DRM said special passenger trains and air-conditioned MEMU services would have to be operated for short-distance commuters.In reply to a question on the fate of the coaching depot at Nemom, the DRM said the proposal was still under consideration. “The division will move ahead with the proposal,” he added.On the crackdown on season ticket travellers in reserved coaches of long-distance mail and express trains, Mr. Agrawal said complaints from reserved travellers had compelled Railways to take strict action. He said travellers should reserve tickets or travel in de-reserved coaches.

To a query on the shortage of travelling ticket examiners and stationmasters, Mr. Agrawal said accountability-levels had increased and hence the stationmasters were required to do additional jobs and take up additional responsibilities. “There will be opposition and some levels of discomfort, but everything has been done objectively. But if need be, additional staff will be provided,” he added.

Detailing on the upgrade of facilities at the Kochuveli and Kazhakuttam railway stations, the DRM said Kochuveli had been upgraded from level D to B category.

MANGALORE: After Puttur Railway YatriSangha, The Kanyakumari District Railway User's Association (KKDRUA) has joined the chorus in urging the Union railway minister to carve out a separate railway division for Mangalore under South Western Railway (SWR) headquartered in Hubli.The association wants sections of Konkan railway - Karwar up to Madgaon - included in the Mangalore division.P Edward Jeni, secretary of the association, said that the Mangalore Central station, which is one of the primary revenue earner for the Southern Railway, has got its divisional head quarters in Kerala. "It comes under the Palakkad division of the Southern Railway. The zonal headquarters is located in Chennai. It is quite natural that, however, bigger may be the contribution of Mangalore, revenue wise, due to its administrative control located in other states, Mangalore has been getting a raw deal,'' he said.He alleged that the Palakkad division has been eyeing Mangalore just for its revenue especially from the NMPT ( New Mangalore Port Trust) and also for the Mangalore Junction, which is used as a mere dump yard for the trains hat used to primarily serve the Malabar region of Kerala.
"The number of trains from Mangalore towards Kerala, is a clear indication of the fact that the Palakkad division is hardly interested in linking Mangalore with other interior parts of Karnataka,'' he further said.
As a case in point, he cited the example of Yeshwantpur- Mangalore- Kannur express (via Mysore) that is being operated to help the Malabar region.
After a lot of struggles, a portion of the train, was made to run in the opposite direction from Mangalore to Karwar, the district HQ of Uttara Kannada district, which has been wishing for a direct train connectivity with the state HQ.
A weekly train from Mangalore to Yeshwantpur has been announced to be operated via Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh (Kuppam) to Yeshwantpur. Thus, this train will be getting a unique identity in the Indian Railways of originating from the same state (Karnataka) and ending up in the same state (Karnataka) but being operated through three other different states,'' he rued. indicating how Palakkad division proposes trains from Mangalore with the sole motive of catering to the Malabar region of Kerala as there are limited facilities like pit line and maintenance facilities in major railway stations in Malabar like Kozhikkode, Kannur etc.
Jeni pointed out that due to this the route from Mangalore- Hassan is hardly utilized. He added that the reason cited for operating only few passenger trains via Subrahmanya Road, Hassan section, is that the line is used mainly for freight traffic.
"This is not an acceptable reason as Mangalore is not at all connected with places in Karnataka like Hubli, the HQ of SWR, Bijapur, Gulbarga, Bidar, Raichur etc," he added.

In Railway Budget speech 2012-13 , which was watched and heard by 120 crore Indians , then Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi announced Jodhpur Delhi Bullet Train . This was a P.J. as we say in common language or a poor joke to citizens . Presntly Jodhpur - Delhi route is 616 km long out of which 250 km Jodhpur - Phulera line is still single and trains have to wait for crossing with freights and other passenger trains . The technology used in this section is also very old and old signalling techniques are used such that the Maximum speed of train NEVER goes beyond 100 kmph in any case.

So , is bullet train really required by people of region ??
The TRUTH is that -
1. Paasengers are forced to travel inside even bathrooms of trains because there is no space to sit due to lack of trains.
2. Passengers are FORCED to sit on rooftop of trains , specially when exams are conducted . Many students loose their lives , Shouldnt our Indian railway and ministers must be made answerable to parents of those ???

These are not any adventure reality show , this is ground reality when exam of jail recruitment board was conducted and where passengers are forced to risk lives .These incidents are common sight these days.
Study says that One Kilometre of bullet train track will require 100-200 crore rupees , so for 600 km of Jodhpur Delhi track the amount will cross thousands of crores.How will our government which keeps increasing petrol price every 10 days because of financial constraints get so huge amount ?? Isnt it justified to spend even 1% of that money on improving existing structure first ??

I hope our ministers see this and do some needful instead of just making false announcements which can never be implemented.

Diphu (Assam)/Darjeeling: Two persons were killed in police firing in escalating violence in the agitation for a separate Karbi Anglong state in Assam on the lines of Telangana, which also spurred GJM on Thursday to call for an indefinite bandh in Darjeeling from Saturday for Gorkhaland.

Protesters turned violent and vandalised various public buildings and set satellite dishes of the All India Radio on fire in Assam's Karbi Anglong district amidst demand for a separate state.

Gautam Timung, was killed in police firing when agitators tried to remove a portion of railway lines after they were repaired following the removal of another portion at a place between Doldoli and Dhansiri on the Diphu-Dimapur line, official sources said.

Earlier, A 22-year-old college student, Rahul Signa, who was injured in police firing, when he was locking up his father's shop after violence broke out on Wednesday, died of his injuries late last night, the sources said.

The police also fired in the air near the All India Radio building after agitators set ablaze satellite dishes halting broadcast and relay and torched a waiting room constructed of wood, the sources said. Buildings of the Public Works Department, Forest and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan offices, constructed of wood, were also set ablaze by agitators, the sources said. The office of the Assam Sahitya Sabha, Assam's apex literary body, was also damaged by them, they said.

The army, called in on Wednesday, was on stand by to assist the district administration with police and paramilitary forces on patrol, the sources said. The agitators belonged to the Karbi Students Association, Karbi Riso Adorba and NSUI and several other organisations.

The violence started on Wednesday as protesters demand for a separate state carved out of two Assam districts on the lines of Telangana.

The agitators targeted public buildings, residences of politicians, the Congress office, Autonomous District Council building, Chief Executive Member's residence while a bus counter and vehicles were torched.

To control the violence, the police yesterday opened fire at many places injuring 20 people. Meanwhile, the Hills State Democratic Party has called a 100-hour bandh in the two hill districts of Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao from August 5 to reinforce the demand for a separate Karbi Anglong state. 

Indefinite bandh in Darjeeling from Saturday

Reversing its decision within hours after the arrival of central forces in the hills, the GJM said it took a 'hard decision' for an indefinite bandh in Darjeeling from Saturday to demand a Gorkhaland state on the lines of Telangana.

Accusing the West Bengal government of trying to 'crush a democratic movement', GJM leader Harka Bahadur Chhetri said, "We had to take a hard stand." "There will be indefinite bandh in the hills from August 3. There will be no relaxation," he added.

Earlier in the day, GJM general secretary and spokesman Roshan Giri had said that in view of Eid, the GJM would give some relaxation and the shut down would be for 96-hours.

West Bengal miniser Gautam Deb said that steps would be taken to deal with any violence, while stating that the Centre would be equally accountable.
