कानपुर, एक प्रतिनिधि : सेंट्रल स्टेशन से झांसी तक ट्रैक का दोहरीकरण तीन चरणों में कराने का खाका तैयार किया गया है। इस कार्य के 21 अगस्त तक टेंडर डाले जाएंगे। दिसम्बर में काम शुरू होने की उम्मीद है। पहले चरण में झांसी से एरच रोड तक 66 किमी के काम पर करीब 229 करोड़ रुपये खर्च का अनुमान है। दूसरे चरण में एरच रोड स्टेशन से ऊसर गांव हाल्ट स्टेशन तक 70 किमी के कार्य पर 194.54 करोड़ रुपये का खर्च आएगा। तीसरे चरण में ऊसर गांव से भीमसेन रेलवे स्टेशन तक 69 किमी का कार्य होगा जिसपर 225.52 करोड़ रुपये का खर्च आएगा।

118 करोड़ से पुलों का निर्माण

भीमसेन से झांसी तक पड़ने वाले छोटे बड़े करीब आधा दर्जन पुलों के निर्माण के लिये 118 करोड़ रुपये के टेंडर निकाले गए हैं।

पलपल इंडिया संवाददाता, जबलपुर. पश्चिम मध्य रेल मुख्यालय के भोपाल मंडल के सुरक्षा विभाग में पदस्थ एक रेल कर्मी को विजिलेंस की टीम ने उस वक्त गिरफ्तार किया है जब वह उदयपुरा भोपाल के दो युवकों को नौकरी ज्वाइन कराने के नाम पर मेडीकल टेस्ट कराने रेल्वे चिकित्सालय आया था. भनक लगते ही मौके पर पहुँची विजिलेंस टीम के सदस्यों ने उक्त रेल कर्मी की सारी हक़ीक़त साफ़ कर दी और हक़ीक़त सामने आते ही ठगी का शिकार हुए दोनों बेरोजगार युवक हाथ मलते रह गए. घटना की जानकारी लगते ही वरिष्ठ रेल अधिकारियों ने उक्त कर्मचारी को निलंबित कर दिया है. विजिलेंस यह पता लगाने में जुट गई है कि कही यह किसी बड़े गिरोह का सदस्य तो नही है.

ये है मामला-

भोपाल मंडल के रेल सुरक्षा विभाग में चपरासी के पद पर पदस्थ ओम प्रकाश नरवरिया ने भोपाल उदयपुरा के दो बेरोजगार युवकों नांदेश्वर चौकसे व घनश्याम को मीठी-मीठी बातों में फंसाकर रेल्वे बोर्ड तक का संबंध होने का हवाला देते हुए इन्हे अपने झाँसे में फँसा दोनों से नौकरी लगवाने 3 लाख की माँग की. रेल्वे में इतने कम में नौकरी की बात में वे उक्त कर्मी के झाँसे में आ गए और सौदा भी तय हो गया था. लगभग ढाई लाख रुपये देने के बाद जब कुछ नही हुआ तो युवकों ने नरवरिया से नौकरी के संबंध में बात की उसने कहा कि सब हो गया. सोमवार को मेडीकल परीक्षण कराना है. जहाँ पर परीक्षण के पहले चिकित्सक को 30 हजार रुपये देने होंगे.

युवक तीस हजार रुपये लेकर रेल कर्मी के साथ रेल्वे चिकित्सालय पहुँच गए. तीस हजार रुपये भी रेल कर्मी को दे दिए. इधर-उधर घुमाने के बाद जब रेल कर्मी दोनों युवकों को चाय कैंटीन में लेकर पहुँचा था कि पश्चिम मध्य रेल्वे की विजिलेंस वहां पहुँच गई और दूध का दूध, पानी का पानी हो गया.

ALLAHABAD: Sleuths of RPF ( Railway Protection Force) nabbed a person dealing in sale of IMFL ( Indian Made Foreign Liquor) at Allahabad railway junction on Monday. About 40 bottles of foreign liquor were recovered from the possession of the person.The person was identified as Dinesh Kumar Tyagi, resident of Preetam Nagar of the city.While he was moving in the main hall of the city side of the Allahabad railway junction, sleuths of RPF took hold of him. About 40 liquor bottles were recovered from him.The market price of the liquor was estimated to be about Rs 20,000. He arrived at Allahabad railway junction from Prayag Raj Express.RPF inspector Anand Kumar told TOI that on interrogation, the person revealed that he was retired army personnel who worked in the Indian Army but he failed to show the identity card.The erring person was later handed over to GRP.

The Railway track doubling work between Ernakulam Town Station and  the Marshalling Yard which was proposed to begin this January is stuck in a rut.

The 1.5-km line that connects Ernakulam Junction and Town stations and the ‘D’  Cabin located at the Marshalling Yard was mooted as a solution to the rail traffic congestion between Ernakulam and Kottayam.

However, six months after the proposed work was set to begin, the project remains a non-starter.

According to the officials with the construction wing of the  Thiruvananthapuram Railway division, the doubling work currently undertaken at Podanur Junction in Palakkad has put a halt to the plans in Ernakulam.

“Whenever, doubling works takes place in one section, the Railways does not approve undertaking similar work in another section as it would affect the  Rail traffic. The work will possibly begin only next year,” the officials said.

 

Alternative Measures

If doubling work is undertaken, the traffic will be disrupted at the Ernakulam Junction and Town stations. This will require alternative measures. Traffic signals will have to be shut down in the section besides carrying out a lot of technical work at both the stations. “We have received  sanction for the work. However, unless we get a nod, the work cannot be kicked off,” the official said.

The doubling work was proposed by the Railways nearly 10 years ago. However,  a lot of technical and alignment issues had delayed the project.

“We have worked out a solid plan to be undertaken once the work begins so as to cause minimal disruption in rail traffic, the official said.

The work is part of the doubling between Ernakulam and Mulanthuruthy stretch. If the 1.5-km stretch is laid, passenger trains arriving from Kottayam and towards Ernakulam will be speeded up. This will also avoid  unnecessary detainment of trains.

Due to security reasons o­n account of Independence Day, there will be no sale of platform tickets at Delhi Jn, New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin railway stations with immediate effect upto 15.08.2013. Platform tickets would be sold o­n demand to Senior citizens/Physically challenged /Medically sick and ladies traveling alone or with children.

The SCR will temporarily augment the following express trains with one additional Sleeper coach to make available 6,048 additional  berths for the benefit of wait-listed  passengers.

Ludhiana: The railway authorities started the construction work of the new footbridge, which will inter-link all the platforms at the railway station. They said that the bridge would be completed within one year and would provide relief to the visitors and passengers of the railway station.Already, two footbridges exist that link certain platforms, but none of these link all the platforms. The passengers face inconvenience while moving from one platform to another. Moreover, one of the existing footbridges is too narrow and passengers have to slug it out while passing through it.The Railways had started constructing a footbridge in 2010-11, which was planned to link all the platforms and both entries of the railway station. But due to some technical problems it did not materialise.The railway authorities said that the space between tracks was insufficient to install pillars, so the authorities decided to design a new bridge. The footbridge is a long-pending demand of the residents and the former Railway Minister had assured the residents that it would be constructed soon.Ravinder Sharma, Station Superintendent, said, "The technical team found some problems in the proposed footbridge. Now, the higher authorities have decided to construct a bridge that links all the platforms of the railway station. It will provide relief to the visitors and passengers. We hope that it will be constructed within one year.
