वाराणसी : उत्तर रेलवे के वाराणसी फैजाबाद सेक्शन में मालगाड़ी के पटरी से उतर जाने सहित रेल पटरियों के क्षतिग्रस्त होने के चलते रविवार को भी वाराणसी से गोण्डा जाने वाली इंटरसिटी एक्सप्रेस को निरस्त कर दिया गया। उस मार्ग से गुजरने वाली दूसरी ट्रेनों को दूसरे रास्ते से कैंट स्टेशन लाया गया।

स्टेशन उपाधीक्षक कैंट यूपी सिंह ने बताया कि रेलमार्ग के क्षतिग्रस्त होने के कारण रेलवे कन्ट्रोल लखनऊ के निर्देश पर इंदौर-पटना एक्सप्रेस, जोधपुर से कैंट आने वाली मरुधर एक्सप्रेस, बरेली से कैंट आने वाली बरेली एक्सप्रेस को फैजाबाद, सुल्तानपुर, जफराबाद होकर कैंट लाया गया। इसी क्रम में धनबाद से फिरोजपुर को जाने वाली किसान एक्सप्रेस को जफराबाद, सुल्तानपुर, फैजाबाद होकर लखनऊ के लिए रवाना किया गया। इसके अलावा वाराणसी-लखनऊ पैसेंजर ट्रेनों को भी मार्ग बदलकर चलाया गया। मार्ग परिवर्तन कर संचालन किये जाने से ट्रेनों के विलम्ब से यात्रियों को काफी परेशानी की सामाना करना पड़ा।

Seven passengers travelling by the Ajmer-Ernakulam Marusagar Express who complained of uneasiness after consuming food on the train were treated at the General Hospital and Malik Dinar Hospital here on Saturday night. The passengers showed symptoms of food poisoning, hypertension, and low pulse rate, said a senior Railway official. The train reached Kasaragod station at 11.02 p.m.On being alerted from Mangalore about the commotion on the train, Railway officials had requisitioned the services of a team of physicians and paramedical staff from the hospitals. The District Medical Officer and the Railway Divisional Medical Officer from Mangalore, who reached here by the same train, and his counterpart from Kannur supervised the medical treatment.Three ambulances from the hospitals and the Fire and Rescue Services and police personnel were requisitioned at the station by 10 p.m., an hour ahead of the arrival of the train that reached here after halting at Mangalore Junction, to facilitate treatment to the affected persons.

The seven affected passengers, including Mohammed Kutty (35), Mohammed Ali (35), both hailing from Perinthalmanna, and Abu Baker (64) from Mannarcaud, were admitted to the General Hospital and Malik Dinar Hospital. They were discharged by 3 a.m. and could continue their onward journey on the Ernakulam-bound Mangala Express from Delhi at 3.30 a.m., he said.

A few other affected passengers, in S-11 and S-12 coaches of the train, were administered first aid at the railway station. The train was allowed special stoppages at Kanhangad, Tanur, Pattambi as requested by the affected passengers, they said.

The passengers complained about the “rude” behaviour of the pantry car manager.

Piyush Aggarwal, Divisional Railway Manager, Palakkad, had promised to take up the matter with the Railway Ministry, he said.

PUNE: The schedule of the Visakhapatnam-MumbaiLokmanyaTilak Terminus (LTT) biweekly express will be revised from September 10. The revision was announced in the Railway Budget.The 22819/22820 Visakhapatnam-Mumbai-Visakhapatnam Express will be revised as 18519 /18520 train from September 10 (from Visakhapatnam) and from September 12 (from Mumbai).The Visakhapatnam-Mumbai train will leave Visakhapatnam at 11.30 pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It will leave from Mumbai at 6.55 am from September 12 on Fridays and Mondays, a press release from the South Central Railway has stated.Also the Railways has extended the 12145/12146 LTT-Bhubaneswar Express to Puri. The proposed extension had been announced in the budget. The train will halt at Khurda Road between Bhubaneswar and Puri. There is no change in the halts up to Bhubaneswar, a Central Railway press release said.The Railway Pravasi Group in Pune has demanded that the Central Railway start special trains from Pune to Konkan during Ganeshotsav to clear the rush of passengers, chairperson Harsha Shah said.

The Railways have revised the schedule of Vasco-da-Gama and Velankani Weekly Express till September 16. South Western Railway, Bangalore Division, in a release said that Vasco-da-Gama-Yeshwanthpur-Velankani Weekly Express (17315) will leave Vasco-da-Gama at 2.10 p.m. on Monday instead of 9 a.m., and arrive at Yeshwanthpur on Tuesday at 5.15 a.m. instead of 11.10 p.m. It will leave Yeshwanthpur at 5.30 a.m. instead of 11.30 p.m. to reach Velankani at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday instead of 12.25 p.m.

आसनसोल : चित्तरंजन रेल इंजन कारखाना (चिरेका) ने वर्ष 2013-14 के 100वें इलेक्ट्रिक लोकोमोटिव संख्या 312410 (डब्ल्यूएजी-9एच) को बुधवार को राष्ट्र को समर्पित किया। वर्कशाप के अंदर आयोजित समारोह में चिरेका महाप्रबंधक राधेश्याम ने झंडा दिखाकर इंजन को रवाना किया। समारोह को संबोधित करते हुए महाप्रबंधक राधेश्याम ने कहा कि इस वर्ष के 100वें विद्युत रेल इंजन का उत्पादन चिरेका कर्मचारियों के प्रयास से हो पाया है। आशा है कि चिरेका रेलवे बोर्ड के दिए गए 275 इलेक्ट्रिक लोकोमोटिव उत्पादन लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने में सक्षम होगा। चिरेका ने वर्ष 2013-14 के 100वें इलेक्ट्रिक लोकोमोटिव का उत्पादन कर कीर्तिमान हासिल किया है। पिछले वित्त वर्ष की इसी अवधि के दौरान 83 लोकोमोटिव का उत्पादन किया गया था। महाप्रबंधक ने अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों को इस उत्कृष्ट कार्य के लिए 25,000 रुपये पुरस्कार की घोषणा की।

Secunderabad railway station now has the distinction of being the first major station of the Indian Railways to have escalators on all 10 platforms and two lifts on both the entry points – the main entrance and the Bhoiguda entrance on the last platform.

The South Central Railway (SCR) authorities last week commissioned the seventh escalator on platform no. 4 and 5 and two lifts – one each on platform no. 1 and 10.

The SCR has spent about Rs. 6.60 crore towards establishing the seven escalators in the station, civil engineering works and electrical power supply arrangements etc. and Rs.98 lakh for setting up two lifts on the two main entrances.

While, the capacity of each lift is 20 persons, the rated carrying capacity of each escalator is 180 persons per minute.

On an average, it is estimated that around 43,000 passengers are using the escalators per day in the station.

These escalators and lifts facilitate easy and quick movement of passengers, especially the elderly, sick, and physically challenged persons from one platform to other, said a press release.

Meanwhile, the SCR authorities penalised about 7,200 persons in July 2013 for affecting cleanliness on the railway premises and nearly Rs. 14.61 lakh was realised from them towards penalties.

Of the 7,200 persons, 1,393 persons were detected in Secunderabad division, 573 persons in Hyderabad division, 2,393 persons in Vijayawada division, 716 persons in Nanded division, 1,306 persons in Guntakal division, and 836 persons in Guntur division.

In all, from April to July this financial year, 27,000 persons were caught for committing the offence of littering, spitting etc., on the railway premises and Rs. 54.32 lakh was realised towards penalties from them, according to a press release.

राजगढ़(मीरजापुर) : सब कुछ ठीक-ठाक रहा तो वर्ष 2020 तक नक्सल प्रभावित दुर्गम घाटी वाले चुनार-चोपन रेल प्रखंड पर इलेक्ट्रिक ट्रेनें दौड़ने लगेंगी। इसके लिए सर्वे का काम शुरू हो चुका है। सूत्रों के मुताबिक उत्तर मध्य रेलवे इलाहाबाद के जीएम आलोक जौहरी 24 अगस्त को दौरे पर आ रहे हैं। उनके आगमन का मुख्य उद्देश्य लगभग 90 किलोमीटर लंबी ट्रैक के विद्युतीकरण में आने वाली दिक्कतों का समझना है। चुनार-चोपन के रास्ते गढ़वा,धनबाद, टाटानगर औद्योगिक नगरी को जोड़ने वाला यह खंड आजादी के इतने वर्ष बाद भी उपेक्षित है। चौबीस घंटे में आधा दर्जन ट्रेनें इस रूट से गुजरती हैं। मूरी व त्रिवेणी एक्सप्रेस को छोड़कर अधिकतर पैसेंजर ट्रेनों का परिचालन किया जा रहा है।
रेलवे सूत्रों के मुताबिक एक तो नक्सल प्रभावित इलाका दूसरे कमजोर ट्रैक एक्सप्रेस ट्रेनों के परिचालन की दृष्टि से सुरक्षित नहीं है। हालांकि एक दशक पहले चुनार से चोपन वाया रार्बट्सगंज तक ट्रैक के विद्युतीकरण की योजना बनाई गई थी। इस रूट पर पुरुषोत्तम एक्सप्रेस, नीलांचल सहित अन्य ट्रेनों के परिचालन का भी प्रस्ताव था। बाद में मामला ठंडा पड़ गया। अब रेलवे ने एक बार फिर सक्रियता दिखाई है। मंडल रेल प्रबंधक हरेंद्र राव ने भी शनिवार को लूसा रेलवे स्टेशन के निरीक्षण के दौरान 2020 तक इस रूट के विद्युतीकरण एवं ट्रैक के सुदृढ़ीकरण की बात कही है। उन्होंने कहा कि जल्द इस रूट का कायाकल्प हो जाएगा। गया रूट की अधिकतर ट्रेनें चुनार के रास्ते आएंगी जाएंगी।

बिलासपुर। जोन के चीफ कमर्शियल मैनेजर (सीसीएम) की योजना पर अमल किया गया तो आने वाले समय में रिजर्वेशन काउंटर रविवार को भी रात 10 बजे तक खुले रहेंगे। सीसीएम ने सभी डिवीजन के सीनियर डीसीएम को नई व्यवस्था लागू करने की तैयारी के निर्देश दिए हैं। यह व्यवस्था पायलट प्रोजेक्ट के तौर पर जोन के 6 रेलवे स्टेशन में लागू होगी।
चीफ कमर्शियल मैनेजर प्रकाश राव वाजलवार ने शनिवार को बिलासपुर, रायपुर और नागपुर डिवीजन के सीनियर डीसीएम सहित कमर्शियल इंस्पेक्टरों की बैठक ली। बैठक में आय बढ़ाने पर चर्चा हुई। आम लोगों से जुड़े मसले की बात करें तो सीसीएम ने रिजर्वेशन का समय बढ़ाने का प्रस्ताव रखा। उन्होंने मौजूद अफसरों को बताया कि सेंट्रल रेलवे में रविवार को सेकेंड हाफ में रिजर्वेशन काउंटर खोला जा रहा है और इसका अच्छे परिणाम भी आए हैं। उन्होंने डिवीजन के अफसरों को निर्देशित किया है कि वे चुनिंदा स्टेशनों में ऐसी सुविधा देने की योजना पर काम करें। गौरतलब है कि वर्तमान में रविवार को रिजर्वेशन काउंटर दोपहर 2 बजे तक ही खुले रहते हैं। सीसीएम की योजना पर अमल हुआ तो इस दिन भी रात 10 बजे तक रिजर्वेशन हो सकेगा।
6 स्टेशनों में मिलेगी सुविधा:रविवार को सेकेंड टाइम में भी रिजर्वेशन काउंटर खुला रखने पर अमल किया गया तो यह सुविधा जोन के 6 स्टेशनों में सबसे पहले लागू होगी। दरअसल ये वो स्टेशन हैं, जहां पायलट प्रोजेक्ट के तौर पर रात 10 बजे तक रिजर्वेशन की सुविधा दी गई है। इस सूची में बिलासपुर डिवीजन के बिलासपुर, रायगढ़, रायपुर डिवीजन के रायपुर, दुर्ग और नागपुर डिवीजन के गोंदिया, इतवारी स्टेशन शामिल हैं। रात 10 बजे तक रिजर्वेशन की सुविधा भी सीसीएम के निर्देश पर मिली है।
थंब मशीन पकड़ेगी टीटीई की चालाकी
सीसीएम को इस बात की शिकायत मिली थी कि टीटीई रिकार्ड में उपस्थिति तो दर्ज करते हैं, लेकिन लाइन ड्यूटी पर जाते ही नहीं। ऐसी गड़बडिय़ों पर रोक लगाने के लिए रेलवे स्टेशनों में थंब इंप्रेशन मशीन लगाने की योजना है। पहले चरण में रायपुर, दुर्ग, बिलासपुर, रायगढ़ और गोंदिया स्टेशन में मशीन लगाए जाएंगे। इसका फायदा यह होगा कि टीटीई ड्यूटी ऑन होने वाले स्टेशन के अलावा डयूटी खत्म होने वाले स्टेशन में भी थंब मशीन का उपयोग करेंगे। इससे साबित होगा कि संबंधित टीटीई लाइन ड्यूटी पर रहा या नहीं।
