For the convenience of pilgrims attending the Velankanni festival, South-Western Railway is running a special express between Vasco da Gama–Velankanni–Vasco da- Gama for two services in each direction.

Train number 07315 Vasco da Gama—Velankanni express will depart from Vasco da Gama station at 2 pm on August 28 and September 1 and arrive at Velankanni at 7.15 pm, the day after each departure.

En route, the express will arrive and depart Madgaon at 3 pm and 3.02 pm respectively; Hubli Junction at 7.40 pm and 7.50 pm; Tumkur at 3.20 am and 3.25 am; Yeshwanthpur at 5.10 am and 5.25 am and finally at Jolarpettai Cabin A at 8.45 am.

In the direction of return, train number 07316 Velankanni–Vasco da Gama express will depart from Velankanni at 11.45 pm on August 29 and September 2 and arrive at Vasco da Gama at 5.30 am the next day.

En route, the express will depart at Jolarpettai Cabin A at 8.25 am and will arrive and depart at Yeshwanthpur Junction at 1 pm and 1.25 pm; Tumkur at 2.40 pm and 3.10 pm; Hubli Junction at 10.20 pm and 10.40 pm; and at Madgaon at 4.58 am and 5 am respectively.

The special express will have total of 17 coaches, comprising of one AC three-tier coach, six second class sleeper coaches, eight general second class coaches and two second class luggage-cum-brake vans.

Manoj Seth, DRM of North Western Railway, Ajmer arrived in Udaipur today as a part of his regular visit. He inspected railway station and checked issues of the employees and facilities at the railway station. Arrived at 10 in the morning, Manoj Seth also conducted a general hearing to solve problems of the western railway employees. In a short visit to Udaipur, Seth also assured employees, both contractual and governmental an equal pay scale. While inspecting railway station, he checked facilities and services available for passengers. He said that soon the department is going to Install CCTV cameras at Udaipur station.

Realty firm Parsvnath Developers today said it has paid Rs 500.86 crore instalment to the Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) against the 38 acres of rail land that it had bought for Rs 1,651 crore.Parsvnath had bought this land, located at Sarai Rohilla- Kishanganj in the national capital, from RLDA in 2010 through an auction."The company has so far made payments of three instalments together with interest aggregating to Rs 1,161.46 crore," Parsvnath Group Chairman Pradeep Jain said in a statement.In May this year, a development agreement was executed between RLDA and Parsvnath Rail Land Project, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) incorporated for implementing this project.The company will develop luxury apartments, commercial/ shopping areas, railway housing, railway service building & common facilities, Hospital/School and other amenities.Parsvnath has appointed Callison LLC of USA as architect for the project in co-ordination with architect Sikka & Associates.

The company will develop this project in partnership with private equity firm Red Fort Capital.

Parsvnath is currently working on 49 projects with a total area of 76 million sq ft.

The company's business portfolio includes residential, Commercial (Office and Retail), DMRC Projects, Hotels, SEZs, IT Parks.

Parsvnath's shares were quoting 1.26% higher at Rs 32.20 apiece on the BSE in the afternoon trade.

देश में सक्रिय आतंकी संगठन लश्कर-ए-तैयबा ने उत्तर प्रदेश तथा उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री को बम से उड़ाने की धमकी भरा पत्र भेजा है। इसके साथ ही इस आतंकी संगठन ने उत्तर प्रदेश के मुरादाबाद समेत दर्जन भर रेलवे स्टेशन पर भी बम विस्फोट करने की धमकी दी है। पत्र में हमले की तारीख 28 और 29 अगस्त दी है।
हरिद्वार स्टेशन अधीक्षक को कल शाम एक एक लिफाफा मिला, इसके अंदर पत्र को पढ़कर उनके होश उड़ गए। आतंकी संगठन लश्कर-ए-तैयबा एरिया कमांडर करीम अंसारी के नाम से भेजे पत्र में कहा गया है कि भारत सरकार कश्मीरियों पर जुल्म कर रही है। पाकिस्तानी फौज पर हमला करने के उसे साथ बदनाम भी कररही है। इसका बदला लेने उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री अखिलेश यादव तथा उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री विजय बहुगुणा को बम से उड़ा दिया जाएगा। इसके अलावा को 28 व 29 को ही हरिद्वार, मुरादाबाद, सहारनपुर, लक्सर, रुड़की, देहरादून व काठगोदाम रेलवे स्टेशन को बम से उड़ाया जाएगा। पत्र में कहा गया है कि भारत सरकार उसके हमला को विफल नहीं कर सकता है।
रेल प्रशासन ने धमकी भरा पत्र मिलने के साथ ही इसकी सूचना तत्काल उत्तर रेलवे मुख्यालय भेज दी है और स्टेशनों पर सुरक्षा व्यवस्था बढ़ा दी गई है। रेलवे पुलिस के अलावा जिला पुलिस से सहयोग मांगा है। रेलवे प्रशासन ने धमकी भरा पत्र जीआरपी हरिद्वार को सौंप दिया है। प्रवर मंडल सुरक्षा आयुक्त रफीक अहमद ने बताया कि पत्र मिलने के बाद आरपीएफ के जवानों को सर्तक कर दिया है और ट्रेन में चेकिंग बढ़ा दी गई है।

The Tiruchy Division under Southern Railway is the first one to empanel local doctors for a disaster management plan, said Dr S G Madwesh, Chief Medical Superintendent, here on Thursday. This plan, was financially neutral and would enhance emergency  preparedness during rescue and relief operations. The process of empanelling will commence in Tiruchy Division in a couple of weeks.

Presenting a paper on ‘Divisional Disaster Management Plan’ at the 14th annual conference of the Indian Railways Public Health Association, Dr Madwesh stressed the need for each railways division to have a disaster management plan. As of now, there is only one health unit for each 100 km with a lone doctor. While accidents in the vicinity of urban centres would get aid soon, it was difficult to extend assistance in other places due to logistical issues.

Speaking to Express, Dr Madwesh said a minimum of four local doctors should be empanelled to assist during the emergency.

At present, the railways hires medical practitioners on contract for the health units during the absence of doctors in a division by paying them `1,313 per day.

मुजफ्फरपुर-नरकटियागंज रेलखंड के बापूधाम मोतिहारी स्टेशन गुरुवार की शाम जलने से बच गई। जानकारी के मुताबिक शाम 6.20 के आसपास मोतिहारी स्टेशन के ऊपर से गुजरी हाईटेंशन केबुल में शार्ट सर्किट से अचानक आग लग गई और केबुल धू-धूकर जलने लगा। आग लगने की जानकारी लगते ही स्टेशन पर अफरातफरी मच गई। स्टेशन के यात्री डर के मारे इधर-उधर भागने लगे। इस दौरान कई महिला यात्री मामूली रूप से चोटिल भी हो गये। केबुल में आग लगने की जानकारी मिलते ही रेल प्रबंधन ने फौरन लाइन काटने का निर्देश दिया। लाइन कटने के बाद भी आग बेकाबू हो रहा था। हालांकि स्थानीय दुकानदारों ने आग पर बालू पानी फेंककर काबू पाया। लाइन कटने के बाद बापूधाम मोतिहारी स्टेशन पर पूरी तरह अंधेरा कायम है। इधर स्टेशन अधीक्षक नरेन्द्र प्रसाद बताया कि रेल विद्युत विभाग के जेई राजेश कुमार को अविलंब स्टेशन रोशनी की व्यवस्था बहाल करने का निर्देश दे दिया गया है। समाचार लिखे जाने तक पूरे स्टेशन परिसर में अंधेरा पसरा था।

आसनसोल मंडल के प्रधानखांटा एवं सीतारामपुर स्टेशन के बीच 23 अगस्त से 16 दिन के लिए प्रत्येक मंगलवार बुधवार और शनिवार को 13.25 बजे से 16.40 बजे तक एवं प्रत्येक शुक्रवार को 13.30 बजे से 16.45 तक 3 घंटे 15 मिनट तक ट्रैफिक ब्लाक की आवश्यकता होगी।
आसनसोल रेल मंडल के जनसंपर्क विभाग की ओर से बताया गया है कि आसनसोल मंडल के प्रधानखांटा से सीतारामपुर सेक्शन के मुगमा और सीतारामपुर स्टेशन के बीच डाउन कार्ड लाइन पर ट्रैक अनुरक्षण कार्य के लिए दिनांक 23 अगस्त से 18 सितंबर तक 16 दिन के लिए ब्लाक की आवश्यकता होगी। जिसके कारण 53322 धनबाद आसनसोल पैसेंजर का समय 1 घंटा 30 मिनट पहले कर दिया गया है। अर्थात उन दिनों धनबाद से 13.10 बजे के बदले 11.40 बजे खुलेगी।
काली पहाड़ी और रानीगंज स्टेशन के बीच संबंधित मरम्मत कार्य के कारण 23 अगस्त व 27 अगस्त को दोपहर 2.30 बजे से 4.30 तक दो घंटे तक ट्रैफिक ब्लाक रहेगा।
बुधवार की शाम रेल मंडल के जनसंपर्क विभाग की ओर से एक प्रेस विज्ञप्ति से जानकारी दी गयी है कि ब्लाक के दौरान 63522 आसनसोल ब‌र्द्धमान मेंमू पैसेंजर आसनसोल से 4.10 बजे के बदले 4.35 बजे खुलेगी। जबकि डाउन तूफान एक्सप्रेस को 80 मिनट नियंत्रित कर चलाया जाएगा।

नई दिल्ली : अब स्मार्ट मोबाइल पर मेट्रो से जुड़ी हर जानकारी उपलब्ध होगी। दिल्ली मेट्रो रेल निगम (डीएमआरसी) ने बृहस्पतिवार को मोबाइल एप्लीकेशन लांच किया है। इसे डाउनलोड कर मेट्रो से संबंधित हर सूचना तुरंत प्राप्त की जा सकती है। दिल्ली व एनसीआर के किसी भी हिस्से से मेट्रो रूट की जानकारी मिल जाएगी। यही नहीं इस एप्लीकेशन पर आपको नजदीकी मेट्रो स्टेशन, वहां उपलब्ध सुविधाएं व मेट्रो की समय सारणी की जानकारी मिल जाएगी।
यह मोबाइल एप्लीकेशन डीएमआरसी के वेबसाइट से डाउनलोड किया जा सकता है। डीएमआरसी के प्रबंध निदेशक मंगू सिंह ने सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी विभाग द्वारा तैयार मोबाइल एप्लीकेशन सॉफ्टवेयर को लांच किया। इसे किसी भी स्मार्ट फोन में आसानी से डाउनलोड किया जा सकता है। इसके जरिए मेट्रो स्टेशन के आसपास लैंडमार्क, पर्यटन स्थल के बारे में भी जानकारी हासिल की जा सकती है।
यह एप्लीकेशन मोबाइल में मुफ्त में डाउनलोड किया जा सकता है। एप्लीकेशन में जीपीएस के इस्तेमाल से यात्री यह भी पता कर सकेंगे कि वह किस स्थान पर है और नजदीक के मेट्रो स्टेशन तक पहुंचने के लिए किन रास्तों का प्रयोग करना चाहिए। डीएमआरसी का दावा है कि एप्लीकेशन की मदद से यात्रियों को मनचाही सभी जानकारी मिल जाएगी। इतना ही नहीं, इस स्मार्ट एप्लीकेशन में सहायता, परामर्श और शिकायत के लिए डीएमआरसी की हेल्पलाइन और सुरक्षा संबंधी किसी खतरे के लिए हेल्पलाइन नंबर भी उपलब्ध होंगे। डीएमआरसी अधिकारी बताते हैं कि कुछ घटों के अंतराल पर एप्लीकेशन स्वत: अपडेट हो जाएगा।

NEW DELHI: A consortium of a Japanese and an India company has been entrusted with the Rs 6700 crore construction work of 625-km-long rail track as part of the part of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC).The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation (DFCC) has given the contract for construction work of rail track from Rewari in Haryana to Iqbalgarh in Rajasthan as part of the 1,483-km-long Western DFC to Sojitz and L&T consortium, a Railway Ministry official said.The Western DFC is coming up between Dadri (near Delhi) and Jawaharlal Nehru Port (near Mumbai).This is the second mega contract of DFC, the first one having awarded in January, for construction of a 343-km double line track between Kanpur and Khurja on Eastern DFC.With the finalisation of this contract, DFCC has awarded contracts for about 1000 km of double line track on the DFC project. The completion of DFC project is expected to give much needed fillip to the economy.The Rewari-Iqbalgarh route will be completed within a period 208 weeks (4 years) from August 30, the date of commencement.The contract provides for construction of double line railway track with 25 ton axle load capable of upgrading to 32.5 ton axle load with double stack container operation.For the first time in India, technically superior Head Hardened Rails to be imported from Japan are being used for this work, which has a much better service life than the rails being currently used on railways, said the official.
