Land acquisition procedures for Kochi Metro Rail are progressing at a rapid pace and only 14 more hectares need to be acquired for the project, the Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) authorities said here on Friday. Out of the total land requirement of 40 hectares for the project, so far 26.4 hectares have been acquired.“The only areas where the pace of land acquisition has slowed down a bit are the places that fall under the wetland classification as per the Basic Tax Register (BTR). This comes to nearly 2 hectares. However, these issues will be sorted out within two weeks and we hope that more land will be acquired in the next two months”, said KMRL managing director Elias George.A total of 876 piers (pillars) have to be constructed between Aluva and Tripunithura-Petta for the Kochi Metro Rail. Out of the total land required for the construction of the piers, 80 per cent have been completed. Land for 191 piers need to be acquired. The remaining land that needs to be acquired are mainly for the construction of the Metro stations and parking lots. The sanction from High Level Committee and Land Revenue Commission is required for 4.7 hectares which will be utilised for the construction of Metro stations at Aluva Shunting neck, Bypass junction, Companyppady, Pulinchode, Appolo, parking lot at CUSAT, Edappally and Palarivattam junction.

The areas that fall under the wetland classification as per the BTR are Companyppady, dumping yard at Kalamassery, CUSAT, Edappally Silversand, Palarivattam and Kadavanthra. The meeting for solving the issues related with the wetlands will be convened in the coming days. Among the remaining land, the KMRL is awaiting government permission for 2.5 hectares of land that belong to Railway, Greater Cochin Development Authority, Kochi Corporation, FACT, Housing Board, Kalamassery and Aluva municipalities and Maharajas college. 

“The GCDA, Kochi Corporation, the other respective local bodies, Railways and all others are extending their whole hearted support to the Kochi metro rail project, which will help us in completing the land acquisition procedures in a time-bound manner”, added Elias George.

Regarding the Vyttila-Petta-Tripunithura Road widening, the 4(1) notification for the land acquisition has already been issued. The district collector will soon convene a meeting with the land owners in the area. Meanwhile, for the widening of Thammanam Pulleppady Road, the KMRL will join hands with Kochi corporation for drafting a financial architecture plan.

Earlier, the state government had allotted Rs 25 crore for the acquisition of land for the Thammanam Pulleppady Road. On Friday, the government granted permission to the Ernakulam district collector for 16 stations of the Kochi metro rail, the Aluva shunting station and the KSRTC bus station road widening. A total of 6.13 hectare need to be acquired for the purpose out of which 6.8 hectares are in private possession.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (DMRC) has constituted a Committee of three officers to probe the Metro Rail incident of 11th June, 2013, in which a train was stuck for more than 90 minutes between Udyog Bhawan and Central Secretariat.

As per DMRC, the necessary repairs have been carried out and further investigation is on. Further, DMRC is conducting regular mock drills to assess the preparedness of staff and systems in such situation. The passengers are being educated through awareness drives at metro stations. The Standard Operating Procedure for dealing evacuation of passengers from the train stalled in a tunnel has been reiterated.

This information was given in the Rajya Sabha by the Minister of State in the Ministry of Urban Development, Mrs Deepa Dasmunshi.

The worst fears highlighted by Metroman E Sreedharan seems to be coming true for the Maharashtra government. Even as the Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar first metro line misses its deadline time and again, issues over its fare and project cost have cropped up again and this means it may not be opened for public use by next month.There metro project cost has shot up from Rs2,356 crore to over Rs3,500 crore. When the negotiations between the state government and Reliance Infrastructure-led Mumbai Metro One Private Limited (MMOPL) over sharing the increased project costs and fares begins, the two options that the former will have to look at are taking over the project (on the lines of Delhi’s Airport Express) and increasing the fares. For years now, E Sreedharan has been vocal to warn state governments opting to execute metro projects using the PPP financial model by saying that this model has not been a success anywhere across the world. In India, Delhi has already witnessed a failed PPP metro rail project (again with Reliance Infrastructure). “I have been told that metro work is 95% done and the commissioner of Railway Safety is trying to look at safety issues. We do not want to put safety of people at risk; so, till the time safety certifications come, metro rail will not be opened for public,” said chief minister Prithviraj Chavan.

Therefore, it is not sure whether the first metro line being constructed by the MMOPL will be commissioned by 2013 end. 

When asked about demands from MMOPL to increase metro fares due to cost overruns, he replied: “This is where the question of a dispute settlement authority or mechanism arises in case of a project undertaken through the Public Private Partnership mode.”

Chavan said: “the third metro line between Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ underground metro is not on Built Operate Transfer model.” But he did not clarify the picture if all the future metro projects will be on cash contract basis.

“The second metro line of Charkop-Bandra-Mankhurd will have to be cancelled.

The issue as of now is over bid guarantee of Rs50-60 crore, if it should be encashed or not,” announced Chavan.

The Mumbai Metro Transport Private Limited has not been able to implement the project due to lack of environment clearance.

Moreover, once the contract is scrapped the future of Charkop - Bandra - Mankhurd will be an underground metro.

रांची। दिन शनिवार, तारीख 1 जुलाई, हवा से बातें करने को तैयार और अपनी खूबसूरती पर इठलाती हुई वो चली आ रही थी। हर कोई उसे देखने को बेताब था। सैकड़ों की तादाद में लोगों की भीड़ स्टेशन में मौजूद थी। हर किसी के मन में यही था बस एक बार सफर करने का मौका मिल जाए। बात हो रही है जुलाई में शुरु हुई नए रैक वाली राजधानी की। रांची जक्शन के प्लेटफार्म एक से ठीक पांच बजे राजधानी को हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना किया गया।

इस दौरान सीनियर टीडीएम बीएन मंडल, सीनियर डीईएन (कोआर्डिनेशन) पंकज कुंवर, एसीएम अर्जुन मजूमदार, छोटा नागपुर पैसेंजर्स एसोसिएशन के उपाध्यक्ष अशोक नागपाल, डॉ. रवि भट्ट, राम विलास शर्मा, शंकर सिंह, कृष्ण कुमार, मनोहर मुंडू, बसंत शर्मा मौजूद थे। इन्होंने यात्रियों को मिठाई के तौर पर टॉफियां बांटी।


ठीक एक दिन पहले ही राजधानी एक्सप्रेस की नई रैक रांची पहुंची थी।  उसे प्लेटफॉर्म नंबर तीन पर लगाया गया था।इसके साथ ही रांची वासियों को राजधानी के मॉडर्न कोच में सफर करने का इंतजार खत्म हुआ।

ट्रेन में 19 बोगियां हैं, जिनमें 10 थर्ड एसी, आठ सेकेंड एसी और एक फर्स्ट एसी है। दो जनरेटर यान और एक पैंट्रीकार भी है। राजधानी एक्सप्रेस में जर्मन तकनीक से बने 22 लिंक होल्फमैन बुश (एलएचबी) डिब्बे लगे होंगे। ये बोगियां पुराने की तुलना में काफी अच्छी और आरामदेह है।

दरवाजे- पुराने कोच के पारंपरिक दरवाजों के मुकाबले नए कोच के दरवाजे ऑटोमेटिक हैं।

खिड़कियां- पुराने की तुलना में नए कोच की खिड़कियां बड़ी और खूबसूरत हैं।
चेन पुलिंग सिस्टम- पुराने कोच में पारंपरिक चेन पुलिंग सिस्टम था, जबकि नए कोच में मॉडर्न तकनीक का इस्तेमाल किया गया है।
सीट- पुराने की तुलना में नई बोगी में ज्यादा चौड़ी सीटें, करीब 10 इंच ज्यादा। फस्र्ट क्लास में सीटों की चौड़ाई पुराने की तुलना में लगभग दोगुनी बढ़ गई है।



रेलिंग- पुरानी बोगियों में अपर बर्थ पर रेलिंग नहीं थी, नई में यह सुविधा है। इससे बच्चों को अपर बर्थ पर सुलाने में दिक्कत नहीं होगी।

लाइट- नई बोगियों में साइड लोअर और अपर सीट पर अलग-अलग, हवाई जहाज की तरह सफेद लाइट लगी हुई है। पुरानी बोगियों में यात्रियों को कम रोशनी की शिकायत रहती थी।
पैंट्री- नए कोच में हर डब्बे में अलग से पैंट्री की जगह दी गई है, पुरानी बोगियों में यह सुविधा नहीं थी।

टॉयलेट- पहले के मुकाबले ज्यादा स्पेसियस है। स्टील के नल और हैंगर लगे हैं। पहले के कोच में ये सुविधाएं न के बराबर थीं।

चार्जिंग प्वाइंट- पुरानी बोगियों में मोबाइल/लैपटाप चार्जिंग प्वाइंट की कमी खलती थी। नए कोच में ये दिक्कत समाप्त हो जाएगी।
एसी- नए कोच में एसी सीटों के ऊपर न होकर, कॉरीडोर में लगे हैं। यह पहले से ज्यादा आरामदेह होगा।

प्रतिनिधिमंडल महाप्रबंधक से मिला
रेल रोको आंदोलन संघर्ष समिति का एक प्रतिनिधिमंडल संयोजक विपिन बिहारी व अध्यक्ष नीरज गुप्ता की अगुवाई में हाजीपुर जोन के महाप्रबंधक मधुरेश कुमार से मिला। दुद्धी नगर रेलवे स्टेशन पर रांची-चोपन इंटरसिटी,स्वर्ण जंयती, हावड़ा भोपाल समेत इस रूट पर चल रहे अन्य एक्सप्रेस ट्रेनों के ठहराव,स्टेशन को कम्प्यूटरीकृत आरक्षण की व्यवस्था समेत आठ सूत्रीय मांग पत्र का ज्ञापन सौंपा। इसके पूर्व वरिष्ठ अधिवक्ता दिनेश अग्रहरि ने महाप्रबंधक व उप महाप्रबंधक समेत रेलवे के अन्य उपस्थित शीर्ष अधिकारियों को दुद्धी तहसील मुख्यालय के भौगोलिक स्थिति के बाबत विस्तार पूर्वक जानकारी देते हुए रेल संबधित समस्याओं से अवगत कराया। प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने उन्हें बताया कि मांगों के समर्थन में सर्वदलीय मंच के बैनर तले आगामी चार सिंतबर को आंदोलन की तैयारी पूरे शबाब पर है। प्रतिनिधिमंडल की बातों को गंभीरता पूर्वक सुनने के बाद महाप्रबंधक ने उन्हे आश्वस्त किया कि मांग पत्र में उनके स्तर की मांगों पर विचार कर एक दो दिन के अंदर निर्णय ले लिया जाएगा। जबकि मंत्रालय स्तर के मांगों के बाबत कहा कि संस्तुति के साथ उसे विशेष रुप से भेजे जाने की बात कही। प्रतिनिधिमंडल में व्यापार मंडल के अध्यक्ष अछैबर नाथ गुप्ता, दुद्धी बार एसोसिएशन के पूर्व अध्यक्ष जितेंद्र कुमार श्रीवास्तव, विष्णुकांत तिवारी समेत कई लोग शामिल थे।

जबलपुर. ट्रेन का रिजर्वेशन करवाते व�त गलत जानकारी देना आगे चलकर आपको बेटिकट साबित कर सकता है। रेलवे ने जो ताजातरीन फरमान निकाले हैं, उनके मुताबिक आरक्षण फार्म में दी गई जानकारी का वैरीफिकेशन कराया जा सकता है।

पता और नंबर गलत साबित होने की स्थिति में पहले तो आरक्षण कैंसल कर दिया जाएगा और इसके बाद भी उस टिकट पर यात्रा की जाती है तो सफर के दौरान बेटिकट का जुर्माना वसूला जाएगा। आरक्षण फार्म भरते समय अब पहले से ज्यादा सतर्क रहने की जरूरत है। रेलवे के कमर्शियल विभाग को इस संबंध में नए दिशा-निर्देश मिल चुके हैं।

बिलासपुर। रायपुर मंडल की सीमा में शामिल दाधापारा से बैकुंठ रेलवे स्टेशन के बीच सितंबर में 7 दिन मेगा  ब्लाक होगा। रख-रखाव का काम अलग-अलग तारीख में अलग-अलग लाइन पर होगी, जिसके चलते गोंदिया-झारसुगड़ा-गोंदिया पैसेंजर इतने ही दिन बिलासपुर से रायपुर के बीच रद्द रहेगी।

रायपुर-गेवरारोड और बिलासपुर-रायपुर मेमू भी 8 सितंबर को कैंसिल रहेगी। यात्रियों की सुविधा के लिए मेगाब्लाक के दिन अमृतसर-बिलासपुर छत्तीसगढ़ एक्सप्रेस को रायपुर से बिलासपुर के बीच पैसेंजर ट्रेन के तौर पर चलाया जाएगा।
बारिश के चलते रेलवे का लदान प्रभावित है।

औसतन 70 रैक की लोडिंग वाले डिवीजन में कोयले की 50 से 60 रैक ही लोड हो रही हैं। यातायात का दबाव वर्तमान में कम है, लिहाजा रेल प्रशासन पटरी से लेकर परिचालन वाले उपकरणों में सुधार करने जा रहा है। सुधार का काम दाधापारा से बैकुंठ रेलवे स्टेशन के बीच होगा।

इस सेक्शन में रेल लाइन का तिहरीकरण हो चुका है, लिहाजा अलग-अलग तारीख में अलग-अलग पटरियों पर सुधार कार्य होगा। ऐसा नहीं है कि इससे केवल एक ही पटरी पर यातायात प्रभावित होगा। क्रासिंग पाइंट से लेकर सिग्नलिंग सिस्टम में सुधार के चलते पूरे सेक्शन में यातायात ठप होगा।

नतीजा यह कि झारसुगड़ा-गोंदिया-झारसुगड़ा पैसेंजर को बिलासपुर से रायपुर के बीच 1, 3, 8, 15, 22, 24 और 29 सितंबर को रद्द किया जाएगा। रायपुर-गेवरारोड मेमू और बिलासपुर-रायपुर मेमू को सिर्फ 8 सितंबर को रद्द किया गया है।

सात दिन रद्द रहेगी जेडी पैसेंजर, यात्रियों के लिए उठाया जाएगा नया कदम

गोंदिया से झारसुगड़ा (58118) जाने वाली पैसेंजर को रायपुर में रद्द कर दिया जाएगा। यह ट्रेन रायपुर में सुबह 9:20 बजे आकर ठहर जाएगी। इसी ट्रेन को रायपुर से दोपहर 3:50 बजे झारसुगड़ा-गोंदिया बनाकर रवाना किया जाएगा। इसी तरह झारसुगड़ा-गोंदिया (58117) पैसेंजर बिलासपुर में ठहर जाएगी, जो कि दोपहर 1:45 बजे बिलासपुर से ही गोंदिया-झारसुगड़ा बनकर छूटेगी।

क्या है विकल्प: झारसुगड़ा-गोंदिया-झारसुगड़ा पैसेंजर के रायपुर-बिलासपुर के बीच रद्द रहने से इस ट्रेन के यात्रियों के लिए छत्तीसगढ़ एक्सप्रेस विकल्प साबित होगा। अमृतसर से बिलासपुर आने वाली छत्तीसगढ़ एक्सप्रेस गोंदिया-झारसुगड़ा के यात्रियों को बिलासपुर तक लाएगी।

इसी वजह से मेगा ब्लाक के दिन अमृतसर-बिलासपुर छत्तीसगढ़ एक्सप्रेस रायपुर से बिलासपुर तक पैसेंजर बनकर चलेगी। झारसुगड़ा से गोंदिया जाने वालों को बिलासपुर-अमृतसर छत्तीसगढ़ एक्सप्रेस की सुविधा मिलेगी। यह ट्रेन पैसेंजर तो नहीं होगी, लेकिन गोंदिया जाने वालों को रायपुर तक पहुंचाएगी, जहां उन्हें उनकी पैसेंजर ट्रेन मिल जाएगी।

ALLAHABAD: The Government Railway Police (GRP) on Friday claimed to have busted a human trafficking racket with the arrested of seven women from platform number 6 of Allahabad railway junction.The arrests were made when all the seven women had arrived at Allahabad railway junction from Mumbai Mail. The arrested women were identified as Reena of Dhanbad and Samina of Nasik besides Sita Bhandari, Samina Sheikh, Rizwana Sheikh, Sabeena Sheikh and Tamanna Sayeed from Mumbai. All these women had come to the city from Mumbai and were on their way to Kolkata. GRP officials said the kingpin of the racket, Sita Bhandari was taking these women to work in Kolkata's dance bars. The police became suspicious of the nature of the women's work when they found the latter indulging in obscene acts. Passengers traveling in Mumbai Mail too complained to GRP authorities about the behaviour of the women and asked them to take the women out of the compartment. The police subsequently interrogated and detained the women. A case under sections 294 and 504 of IPC has been registered in this connection.
