भोपाल। रेलवे प्रशासन ने त्योहारों के मद्देनजर इंदौर से यशवंतपुर के बीच स्पेशल साप्ताहिक ट्रेन चलाने का निर्णय लिया है। यह गाड़ी 28 अक्टूबर से 25 दिसंबर तक चलाई जाएगी। भोपाल सहित रेल मंडल के अन्य स्टेशनों पर यह स्पेशल ट्रेन हॉल्ट लेकर जाएगी। ट्रेन नंबर 09307 28 अक्टूबर से 23 दिसंबर तक प्रति रविवार इंदौर से चलाई जाएगी। वहीं ट्रेन नंबर 09308 30 अक्टूबर से 25 दिसंबर तक प्रति मंगलवार यशवंतपुर से चलेगी।

अब वह दिन दूर नहीं जब यात्री को हवाई जहाज की तर्ज पर चेयर कार वाली इंटर सिटी ट्रेनों में ही बैठे-बैठे ब्रांडेंड चाकलेट व फास्ट फूड का मजा ले सकेंगे। इसकी कवायद रेलवे ने शुरू कर दी है। रेलवे की मंशा है कि जो पैसा अवैध वेंडर कमा रहे हैं क्यों न रेलवे टेंडर प्रक्रिया अपनाकर स्वयं कमाये। इस प्रक्रिया के तहत रेलवे एक ठेकेदार को किसी एक ट्रेन का ठेका देगा जो पूरे सफर यात्रियों को अपने उत्पाद बेच सकेगा। इस नई व्यवस्था से रेलवे को लाखों रुपये का जहां राजस्व मिलेगा वहीं यात्रियों को गुणवत्ता वाली खाद्य सामग्री मिल सकेगी। इसकी कवायद शुरू कर दी गई है। पहले चरण में इसे शताब्दी में लागू किया जा रहा है। इसके बाद गोरखपुर इंटरसिटी, राजरानी, झांसी इंटरसिटी, इलाहाबाद इंटरसिटी, बनारस इंटरसिटी जैसी ट्रेनों में शुरू किया जाएगा।
रेलवे बोर्ड अधिकारियों के मुताबिक इस पूरी प्रक्रिया में थोड़ा समय लगेगा। लेकिन यह प्रयोग अपने आप में नया होगा। जिसकी ट्रेन में सफर करने वाले यात्री भी तारीफ करेंगे। अधिकारियों के मुताबिक ट्रेन में ट्राली में चाकलेट, कोल्डड्रिंक, चिप्स, केक, बिस्कुट, पानी जैसे उत्पाद ही बेचे जाएंगे। अभी यही खाद्य सामग्री अवैध वेंडर अलग-अलग स्टेशनों से चढ़ने के बाद बेचते थे। रेलवे की मंशा है कि क्यों न रेलवे यह काम टेंडर के जरिये किसी ठेकेदार को दे और ठेकेदार इसके एवज में उन्हें अच्छा राजस्व दें। सफर के दौरान अगर कोई खाद्य सामग्री खत्म होती है तो संबंधित ठेकेदार ठहराव वाले स्टेशनों पर उन चीजों की पूर्ति करेगा।
अफसरों के मुताबिक इन खाद्य सामग्री में प्रिंट रेट के आधार पर खाद्य सामग्री बेची जाएगी। ऐसी स्थिति में यात्रियों से ठेकेदार अधिक पैसा भी नहीं वसूल सकेंगे। यात्रियों को वही पैसा देना होगा जो संबंधित वस्तुओं पर दर्ज होगा। शिकायत मिलने पर जुर्माने का प्राविधान होगा।

PATNA: Trains' movement remained paralysed for about two-and-a-half hours on Friday near Sachivalaya halt under the Danapur division of East Central Railway (ECR), causing inconvenience to passengers, particularly those travelling by long-distance trains.

According to Danapur DRM L M Jha, an irate mob led by RJD MP Ram Kripal Yadav rushed to Sachivalaya halt around 2pm and squatted on railway tracks to protest the death of a youth in road accident. The agitated people disrupted train movement to press their demand for compensation to the deceased's family. The blockade on tracks was lifted around 4.30pm following the intervention of railway and local administration, the DRM said.

Expressing his anguish over unnecessary detention of trains, Jha said about 10 long-distance trains were delayed due to the agitation. The death of the youth was not in any way related to the railways, he said. Yet people targeted railways for no valid reason, the DRM said and sought people's cooperation for smooth running of trains under the division.

Now if you are travelling by train and wish to pay your telephone bill (landline or cell phone) the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has for the first time provided a Customer Centre facility at the Vijayawada Railway Station just outside platform No.1.Formally inaugurating the facility, BSNL General Manager John Chrisostom said people from Andhra Pradesh and anywhere in the Southern Zone of the BSNL can pay their bills at the counter, which used to sell recharge coupons, sim cards or land line applications.The all-in-one counter will be of great public utility, he said and asked the public to take advantage of the facility even if they were in a hurry travelling to some place.People in Bhavanipuram, Ashok Nagar, and Poranki are not getting the BSNL signals properly as power cuts was putting pressure on the battery of the BTs and some of them were not getting alternative power due to non-cooperation of the people related to premises, where they have been installed.The district currently has 289 cellular towers and 78 of them are in Vijayawada Municipal limits and of them 63 support 3G signals. The BSNL sticks to international standards of radiating power of cellular signals, while some private operators do not adhere to that, which while talking seems loud and clear, but puts pressure on the ear due to higher radiation levels.

Krishna District will get 90 additional cellular towers in the coming five months and 60 of them (both 2G and 3G) would be installed in Municipal Corporation limits.

The BSNL has introduced a Rs.450-per month plan in urban areas for landline through which the subscribers can call unlimited time any landline in India and for Rs.600 any BSNL landline or cell phone.

Same facility from rural areas will be available for Rs.350 and Rs.500, Mr. Chrisosthom told The Hindu .

LUDHIANA: Central Railway Mumbai eves clinched the prestigious Prof Nirpjit Kaur Gill Memorial Trophy by drubbing Chandigarh XI team by 4-1 at Perfect Real Eastate All India Sahibzada Ajit Singh Hockey Champion Trophy 2012 held at the floodlit Olympian Pirthipal Singh Hockey Stadium at Punjab Agricultural University, here today.Vandana Kataria of Central Railways played a marvellous game of hockey as she scored two goals for her side- in 39th and 64th minute of the game.The match started with both teams fighting hard for Rs 1.5 lakh prize money and Prof Nirpjit Kaur Gill Memorial Trophy. It was Pratibha Sawant who opened the account for her team Central Railways Mumbai in the 15th minute. Vandana Kataria scored the second goal for her team in 39th minute with the help of a penalty corner. In the second half, Saundarya of Central Railways scored another goal in 52nd minute.The only goal for Chandigarh XI was scored by Pooja in 58th minute of the match. This goal was scored with the help of a penelty stroke. The last and fifth goal of the game was scored by Vandana Kataria in 64th minute. In the end, it was Central Railways Mumbai which scored victory. The runners up, Chandigarh XI won themselves a prize money of Rs 1 lakh.Before this game, Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala eves defeated Gwalior XI team by 3-0. First and second goal of the match were scored by Deepika Thakur of RCF in 31st and 33rd minutes of the game. The third goal for RCF was scored by Sukhmanjeet Kaur in 49th minute.
