आमतौर पर भारतीय रेलवे में अगर गाड़ी एक घंटे या उससे विलम्ब से रवाना होती है तो किसी को भी ये उम्मीद नहीं होती कि अपने गंतव्य पर ट्रेन अपने समय पर पहुंचेंगी | परन्तु तेजस एक्सप्रेस ने इस मिथक को तीन घंटे देरी से रवाना होने के बाद भी अपने समय से एक मिनट पहले पहुँच कर तोड़ दिया | 
रविवार को इस ट्रेन को गोवा से सुबह साढ़े सात बजे चलना था परन्तु टाइम टेबल में बदलाव के कारण ये साढ़े दस बजे चली | चूँकि ये ट्रेन 200 किमी तक की गति से चल सकती है इसलिए इसे करमाली से कुडल के बीच 153 किमी प्रति घंटे की गति से चलाया गया, वहीँ कुडल से रत्नागीर स्टेशन के बीच 137 किमी प्रति घंटे के हिसाब से चलाया गया और उसे बाद पनवेल तक 125 किमी प्रति घंटे की गति बनाये रखी गयी | रेलवे ने स्पीड को बढ़ा कर समय को मेन्टेन किया और ट्रेन अपने समय से जो की रात पौने आठ बजे का है, उससे एक मिनट पहले मुंबई पहुँच गयी |

At present there are 2.7 million followers of Indian Railways on Twitter. Twitter has become an effective tool for railways to monitor and address passenger’s grievances and acts. As per the released data as many 3000 complaints are handled by railway officials daily through Twitter.

According to railway social media platform has become a contact point between Railways and its commuters. Soon after Suresh Prabhu became Railway Minister under Modi government; he set up the department for railways that works exclusively on social media platform. The Ministry’s Twitter handle has logged 3.78 lakh tweets so far.

On a daily basis 6500 mentions are done on Indian Railways twitter account out of which 3000 are in form of complaint. To handle such huge amount of complaints a team comprising of 150 staff across 68 divisions of Indian Railways has been dedicated. This team ensures that passenger’s woes are solved within the stipulated time or say within 30 minutes

देश की पहली हमसफ़र ट्रेन गोरखपुर से दिल्ली कि आनंदविहार कि बीच जब भारतीय रेलवे ने घोसणा की थी तब भारतीय रेलवे को ये कहते हुए काफी गौरवान्वित महसूस हुआ था की वो आम यात्रियों को भी विलसिता पूर्ण सफर का आनंद करवाएगी और वो भी ज्यादा पैसे दिए बिना| पर हमेसा की तरह ये सपने ही रहे और ज्यादा पैसा देने के बावजूद यात्रियों को विलासिता का अनुभव तो नहीं हुआ परन्तु रेलवे के लिए शर्म की बात ये है कि इस वर्ष एक बार भी ये हमसफ़र अपने समय पर नहीं पहुँच सकी है | हाल ये है कि बारह घंटे में सफर पूरा करने वाली ये ट्रेन औसतन पांच घंटे दोनों तरफ से प्रतिदिन अधिक लेती है |
यात्री जितनी इसके अन्दर कि अव्य्स्वस्था से परेशान नहीं रहते उससे ज्यादा इसकी लेट लतीफी से रहते हैं | यात्रियों का कहना है की अगर इतना ही समय लेना था तो इसकी समय सारिणी ऐसी ही बनायीं जाती की ये बारह की बजाय सत्रह घंटे ले| 
यात्री इस ट्रेन से इस कदर दूर भाग रहे हैं की जहाँ अन्य दिल्ली जाने वाली ट्रेनों में एक महीने बाद का भी रिजर्वेशन नहीं है वहीँ हमसफ़र में एक हफ्ते बाद का भी मिल जा रहा है | यात्रियों के लिए जहाँ इसे पहला विकल्प होना था वहां ये अंतिम विकल्प बन गयी है | 
runningstatus.in के डाटा विश्लेषम में पाया गया की गोरखपुर से आनंदविहार पहुँचने में इसे हर बार लगभग छह घंटे अधिक लगते हैं जबकि गोरखपुर पहुँचने में चार घंटे अधिक समय लगता ही है |

यात्रियों की परेशानी को देखते हुए रेलवे प्रशासन ने बढ़नी होकर चलने वाली 12571 / 12572 गोरखपुर - आनंदविहार - गोरखपुर हमसफ़र एक्सप्रेस को नौगढ़ स्टेशन पर भी ठहराव देने का निर्णय लिया है | सीपीआरओ के अनुसार यह ट्रेन छह माह के लिए प्रयोग के आधार पर रुकेगी | 12571 हमसफ़र एक्सप्रेस नौगढ़ स्टेशन पर रात आठ बजकर दो मिनट पर पहुंचेगी जबकि वापसी में 12572 हमसफ़र एक्सप्रेस नौगढ़ पर सुबह सात बजकर दो मिनट पर रुकेगी | 
दोनोंतरफ से ये ट्रेन दो मिनट के लिए नौगढ़ रुकेगी |

Monsoon period for Tejas Express between Mumbai and Karmali will begin from June 11 in place of June 10 as decided earlier.

On June 10 train will run according to its non-monsoon schedule of 05:00AM from Mumbai CST and 02:30PM from Karmali.

Monsoon services for this train will commence from June 11 to December 31.

In order to provide travelling facility to waitlisted passengers South Central Railway will add additional coaches to H.S.Nanded – Pune - H.S.Nanded biweekly Express on permanent basis as per details –

Train number 12730 H.S.Nanded – Pune biweekly Express will be augmented with two General Second class coaches and Four Sleeper Class coaches with immediate effect.

Similarly train number 12729 Pune - H.S.Nanded biweekly Express will be augmented with two General Second class coaches and Four Sleeper Class coaches with immediate effect.

To maintain cleanliness and hygiene of blankets supplied in trains railway officials has been advised to provide blanket with covers to passengers. By supplying blankets in covers for a period of six months South Central Railway has already conducted trails at Hyderabad and Secunderabad coaching depots in Mumbai Express and in Nizamuddin Duranto Express.

In both these trains railway has provided blankets with different colours. Railway got excellent feedback from this experiment with 79% of passengers indicating the new scheme as excellent and 21% marked it as very good.

On the basis of feedback from passengers with enhanced satisfaction, the new scheme has been approved by the General Manager to implement on all the 1st AC coaches of trains originating from Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

To reduce running time of train number 16575 Yesvantpur – Mangaluru Tri Weekly Gomateshwara Express and train number 16515 Yesvantpur - Karwar Tri weekly express, South Western Railway has changed the timings arrival and departure time of this train.

The new effective time of train number 16575 Yesvantpur – Mangaluru Tri Weekly Gomateshwara Express will arrive Mangaluru at 04:55PM instead of 05:30PM and train number 16515 will arrive Mangaluru at 04:55PM instead of 05:40PM.
