To maintain cleanliness and hygiene of blankets supplied in trains railway officials has been advised to provide blanket with covers to passengers. By supplying blankets in covers for a period of six months South Central Railway has already conducted trails at Hyderabad and Secunderabad coaching depots in Mumbai Express and in Nizamuddin Duranto Express. In both these trains railway has provided blankets with different colours. Railway got excellent feedback from this experiment with 79% of passengers indicating the new scheme as excellent and 21% marked it as very good. On the basis of feedback from passengers with enhanced satisfaction, the new scheme has been approved by the General Manager to implement on all the 1st AC coaches of trains originating from Hyderabad and Secunderabad. | ||
