आसन्न पितृपक्ष मेला के दौरान रेलयात्रियों की भीड़ को देखते हुए गया से जबलपुर व जबलपुर से गया स्पेशल ट्रेन चलेगी। यह बात शुक्रवार को पूर्व मध्य रेल के मुख्य वाणिज्य प्रबंधक दीपक छाबड़ा गया जंक्शन के प्लेटफार्म नंबर एक पर नवनिर्मित 'एक्सप्रेस इन फूड प्लाजा' के उद्घाटन के बाद पत्रकारों से कहा।
श्री छाबड़ा ने कहा कि मेला स्पेशल गया-जबलपुर एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन गया से 22 एवं 29 सितंबर को शाम पांच बजे खुलेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि शहर के दस वैसे स्थानों पर जेटीबीएस टिकट काउंटर सुविधा अगले सप्ताह शुरू कर दी जाएगी। जहां से पिंडदान करने को ट्रेन से आने व जाने वाले यात्रियों को सहूलियत हो। इसके अलावा गया जंक्शन के सभी रिजर्वेशन व टिकट काउंटर चालू रहेंगे। मेला क्षेत्र में एक अलग से टिकट बुकिंग काउंटर खोला जाएगा। हर चार घंटे पर एसएमएस के जरिए ट्रेनों के आगमन व प्रस्थान की अद्यतन जानकारी दी जाएगी। सीसीएम श्री छाबड़ा के साथ रहे मुगलसराय रेल मंडल प्रबंधक अनूप कुमार ने कहा कि गया से कुछ और मेला स्पेशल ट्रेन चलाने का प्रस्ताव भेजा गया है। स्वीकृति आदेश प्राप्त होते ही इस संबंध में सूचना लोगों तक जल्द पहुंच जाएगी। उन्होंने कहा कि सुरक्षा के दृष्टिकोण से आरक्षण व टिकट बुकिंग काउंटर के पास गुप्त कैमरा लगाया गया है। कुछ और जगहों पर कैमरे लगाए जाएंगे। ध्वनि विस्तारक यंत्र बाहरी परिसर में भी लगे रहेंगे। ताकि यात्रियों को ट्रेन के आगमन-प्रस्थान से लेकर प्रदत्त की जा रही रेलवे की ओर से सुविधा के बारे में प्रचार प्रसार किया जाएगा। फूड प्लाजा के उद्घाटन के मौके पर एक्सप्रेस फूड के मालिक बंधु शिवाकांत पांडेय तथा विष्णुकांत पांडेय, आईआरसीटीसी के क्षेत्रीय प्रबंधक अनवर करीम, डीआरएम अनूप कुमार, सीनियर डीसीएम आशीष झा, सीएसजी लाल बाबू, सीबीएस शब्बीर खां, फूड प्लाजा के स्थानीय प्रबंधक कुलदीप भदौरिया आदि उपस्थित थे।

गया: जिस वक्त सीसीएम दीपक छाबड़ा गया जंक्शन पर थे। इसी बीच डिहरी-पटना वाया गया इंटरसीटी एक्सप्रेस प्लेटफार्म नंबर 8 पर खड़ी थी। इस ट्रेन के फ्रंट एसएलआर बोगी में एक साइकिल रखा सीसीएम ने देख लिया। और भड़क उठे। इस कुव्यवस्था से खिन्न सीसीएम वहीं पर मौजूद रहे आन ड्यूटी चेकिंग ब्रांच के बीआईसी की उन्होंने जमकर क्लास ली। चेतावनी भरे लहजे में कहा दुबारा इस तरह की गलती नहीं होनी चाहिए।

The Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Pradeep Kumar on Friday said that five lifts at Vijayawada Railway Station would be operational by the end of September. In addition, five escalators would be put to use. Of this, two are already functioning, and three more were installed recently, he said. Another five lifts would be installed in the division; two lifts each at Rajahmundry and Ongole and one lift at Eluru. Escalators have been sanctioned for stations like Guduru, Ongole, and Samalkota, he said.

Complex shortly

To a question, he said that the Railway Land Development Authority (RLDA) would develop the multi functional complex at Vijayawada shortly. A complex is already functioning at Rajahmundry. To another question, he said that there were 108 unmanned railway gates in the division, against the total of 485 gates. Mr Pradeep Kumar said that there was no impact of 72-power stir on the railways. Meanwhile, Mr. Pradeep Kumar and Chief Security Commissioner R. Pacharwal inaugurated a dog squad here. The squad already has two trained dogs, and two more dogs are under training. A dog training house, worth of Rs. 10 lakh, was constructed for the dog squad for the Railway Protection Force (RPF).

The Udhagamandalam-Mettupalayam train was stopped for about 25 minutes after crossing Ketti owing to a branch falling on the track near Aruvankadu. Nilgiri Mountain Railway sources told The Hindu that the track was not damaged and the train proceeded after the branch was removed.

जयपुर। शाम सवा पांच बजे गुलाबी मेट्रो जैसे ही मानसरोवर डिपो से रैम्प पर चढ़ी, मौजूद कार्मिकों एवं लोगों ने तालियों से उसका स्वागत किया।

मानसरोवर डिपो, रैम्प एवं मानसरोवर स्टेशन पर मेट्रो की अलग-अलग पूजा कर हर किसी ने उसके सफल संचालन की कामना की।

शाम छह बजे बाद जब मेट्रो मानसरोवर स्टेशन से श्याम नगर मेट्रो के लिए रवाना हुई तो उसे देखने के लिए सड़कों एवं इमारतों पर लोगों की भीड़ जमा हो गई।

ऎलिवेटेड कॉरिडोर पर मेट्रो को चलता देखने का सपना साकार होते देख लोग उत्साहित हो गए और अपने मोबाइल एवं कैमरे में मेट्रो की फोटो कैद करते नजर आए। बच्चे, बुजुर्ग, महिला, युवा सभी उत्साह के साथ मेट्रो दौड़ता देखते रहे।

ऋषिकेश-कर्णप्रयाग रेलवे प्रोजेक्ट के एलाइनमेंट को अंतिम रूप दे दिया गया है। लगभग 127 किमी लंबी इस परियोजना में 80 प्रतिशत रेलवे लाइन सुरंगों से होकर गुजरेगी। इस मार्ग पर कुल 11 स्टेशन चिन्हित किए गए हैं।
शुक्रवार को सचिवालय में मुख्यमंत्री विजय बहुगुणा की अध्यक्षता में आयोजित बैठक में रेल विकास निगम लि. के प्रबंध निदेशक सतीश अग्निहोत्री ने परियोजना की विस्तृत जानकारी दी। उन्होंने बताया कि एलाइनमेंट का सर्वे पूरा कर लिया गया है। लगभग 127 किमी लंबाई की इस परियोजना में 80 प्रतिशत रेलवे लाइन सुरंग से गुजरेगी। इस पर कुल 11 स्टेशन चिन्हित किए गए हैं। ये हैं वीरभद्र (नया ऋषिकेश), शिवपुरी, व्यासी, देवप्रयाग, मलेथा, श्रीनगर, धारी, रुद्रप्रयाग, घोलतीर, गोचर और कर्णप्रयाग।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि राष्ट्रीय महत्व की इस परियोजना से उत्तराखंड की आर्थिकी को काफी लाभ होगा और पर्यटन को भी बढ़ावा मिलेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि रेलवे लाइन निर्माण के लिए भू अधिग्रहण अधिकारी नियुक्त कर दिया गया है। उन्होंने रेल विकास निगम लि. को वन विभाग के अधिकारियों के साथ बैठक कर संभावित पर्यावरण संबंधी आपत्तियों का निराकरण सुनिश्चित करने को कहा। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि वह रेलमंत्री के साथ प्रधानमंत्री से इस संबंध में मुलाकात करेंगे क्योंकि रेलवे लाइन का लगभग सौ किमी हिस्सा वनक्षेत्र में आ रहा है। श्री अग्निहोत्री ने कहा कि एलाइनमेंट बनाते समय हाइ रेजोल्यूशन सेटेलाइट इमेजरी जैसी आधुनिक तकनीक का उपयोग किया गया है। इसमें आइआइटी रुड़की सहित विश्वस्तरीय विशेषज्ञों की मदद ली गई है।
बैठक में कैबिनेट मंत्री डा. हरक सिंह रावत, अमृता रावत, अपर मुख्य सचिव राकेश शर्मा, प्रमुख सचिव एसएस संधु, एस रामास्वामी, सचिव डा. उमाकांत पंवार, भास्करानंद सहित अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारी मौजूद थे। इससे पूर्व रेल विकास निगम लि. के प्रबंध निदेशक सतीश अग्निहोत्री ने मुख्यमंत्री विजय बहुगुणा से भेंट कर उत्तराखंड में आई दैवीय आपदा के पीड़ितों की मदद के लिए एक करोड़ की धनराशि का चेक मुख्यमंत्री राहत कोष के लिए सौंपा।

BHUBANESWAR: The one-hour symbolic dharna called by the ruling Biju Janata Dal ( BJD) continued on Friday at railway stations across Odisha in protest against a demand by Union Tribal Affairs Minister V Kishore Deo to shift the zonal headquarters of the East Coast Railway (ECoR) from Bhubaneswar to Visakhapatnam. It is likely to go on for the next two days.

Other political parties too have opposed Deo's demand. Congress leader and former railway minister KC Lenka also disapproved the demand, saying that it would lead to widespread unrest in the state as it took long 70 years to get a railway zonal headquarters in Odisha. Activists of the East Coast Banchao Sangharsha Samiti on Thursday organised a demonstration in the heart of the city, set an effigy of the Union minister on fire, and threatened of dire consequences if the UPA had moved the ECoR headquarters out of Bhubaneswar.

The ECoR has three divisions — Visakhapatnam, Bhubaneswar and Sambalpur. The Bhubaneswar division has emerged as the most profit-making zone in the Indian Railways. For instance, it has achieved record loading performance in August to become the largest freight-loading zone of the railways. Incremental loading of the ECoR is the highest in the Indian Railways, surpassing the loading figure of the South-East Central Railway at 60.98 million tonnes and South Eastern Railway at 55.47 million tonnes of freight till August 2013, ECoR sources said.

Deo's letter to AK Antony-led panel, which is looking into the demand for zonal headquarters of the railways, has sparked off the row. The Union minister, who hails from Andhra Pradesh, has proposed that Visakhapatnam being located on the east coast between Kolkata and Chennai be made the headquarters of the ECoR and the South Eastern Railway headquarters be shifted from Kolkata to Bhubaneswar.

Since Kolkata does not come in the southeastern region, there is no justification of having the SER headquarters there, he said, adding that Kolkata may continue to be the Eastern Railway Zone headquarters.

PUNE: The Pune division of Central Railway registered an increase in passenger fare earnings in first five months (April to August) of the current year as against earnings registered last year in the same period.

An official from the Pune division said the earnings increased by 6 per cent. In five months ended on August 2013 the division registered earnings of Rs. 230.77 crore, as against last year’s earnings of Rs.217.14 crore, an increase of Rs.13.63 crore.

Prominent stations like Pune, Khadki, Kolhapur, Satara, Miraj and Chinchwad fall under the Pune division which always witness rush of passengers, said an official. The administration has undertaken steps to increase passenger amenities at stations on Pune-Lonavla and Pune-Kolhapur tracks, he said.

The official said that parking slots for visitors have been started recently at the Shivajinagar and Chinchwad stations. One additional parking slot is proposed at the Pune station to benefit daily commuters and people who come to the station to see of friends and relatives.

The officials said that the administration has initiated ticket checking drive at prominent stations. Action is being taken against illegal travel which included ticketless travel in trains, entering railway stations without valid tickets and unbooked luggage. More than 5,000 cases have been booked by the administration pertaining to illegal travel in last five months in Pune division.
