Unnikrishnan (45) from  letting his art works go unnoticed. In fact, they now adorn the entrance wall of the South railway station, opposite  the Area Manager's office. “He is a born talent. His   disabilities and  poor financial condition of the  family didn't stop the artist in him. He can sketch anyone's face within five minutes…such is his talent,” said a top railway official.Jayakrishnan, who had studied in the Cochin School of Arts, drew various types of engines from steam engine to electrical one in his work depicted at the northern entrance of the Ernakulam Junction.“Besides he is a sculptor  too. His handiwork of the statue of an elephant using clay is displayed at the centre of the officers’ holiday home,” the official said. In fact, when it comes to artists in  railway uniforms, Unnikrishnan is not alone. Deputy Station Master P.K. Rajendran, Station Master Roy Thomas and D. Sudeep - all are fine artists though they find little time for the passion after  duty hours.“I’ve specialized in leaf painting which requires high concentration. Besides I’m also into making of  nettipatam  (elephant caparison),” Rajendran said. The exhibition of their works will be held  at the Ernakulam Main railway station on September 13 as part of the Onam celebrations.

पश्चिम मध्य रेलवे के मुख्यालय जबलपुर ने कोटा-झालावाड़ ट्रेन को 11 कोच से चलाने की मंजूरी दे दी है। अब शीघ्र ही इस ट्रेन में 8 से बढ़ाकर 11 कोच हो जाएंगे। पर्याप्त ट्रैफिक मिलने के बावजूद ट्रेन में कोच की संख्या कम होने के बारे में भास्कर ने प्रमुखता से समाचार प्रकाशित किया था।

 

सवा दो महीने पहले 7 कोच की कोटा से झालावाड़ ट्रेन चलाई गई थी। त्योहारी सीजन में भीड़ बढऩे पर इसे 8 कोच का कर दिया गया था। इस ट्रेन को पर्याप्त ट्रैफिक मिल रहा है। इससे डेली अपडाउनर्स भी भारी संख्या में यात्रा करते हैं। इधर, कोटा से झालावाड़ का हाइवे खराब पड़ा है। इस रास्ते से लोग झालावाड़ तक यात्रा करने में कतराते हैं।

 

इसको देखते हुए रेल प्रशासन द्वारा ट्रेन दोनों ट्रिप में तीन-तीन कोच बढ़ाने के प्रस्ताव को जबलपुर में सीओएम अनुराग ने मंजूरी दे दी है। इसका पत्र भी कोटा रेलवे कार्यालय में आ पहुंचा है। इससे हाड़ौती के यात्रियों को बेहतर सुविधा मिलेगी। कोटा से नीमच व कोटा से बड़ौदा के बीच चलाई जाने वाली पैसेंजर ट्रेन अब 11-11 कोच से चलाई जाएगी। इसकी भी जबलपुर मुख्यालय से मंजूरी मिल गई है। अभी ये ट्रेनें 8-8 कोच की चलाई जा रही हैं। इन दोनों ट्रेनों में कोच बढऩे से नीमच व बड़ौदा की तरफ जाने वाले यात्रियों को बेहतर सुविधा मिलेगी।

आनंदपुर साहिब से नांदेड़ तक चलने वाली रेल गाड़ी 31 मार्च से शुरू कर दी जाएगी। इस ट्रेन के चलने से दो तख्त आपस में जुड़ जाएंगे। यह बात बुधवार को रेलवे के सीसीएम एनआर डीएम दिल्ली दिनेश प्रसाद ने कही। वह तख्ती श्री केसगढ़ साहिब में माथा टेकने आए थे। उन्होंने कहा कि वह आनंदपुर साहिब तथा नंगल के रेलवे प्रोजेक्टों का निरीक्षण करने आए थे। जो कि भनूपली से बिलासपुर तक रेलवे प्रोजेक्ट बनाया जा रहा है वह फंड बंद हुआ है। उन्होंने कहा कि नगंल-आनंदपुर साहिब से नांदेड़ साहिब तक दो तख्त को जोड़ने वाली रेलगाड़ी 31 मार्च से शुरू हो जाएगी।
बीते कई दशकों से बंद चल रहे खरोटा रेलवे फाटक को खोलने की बात करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश सरकार और जिला प्रशासन लिखित भेजें तो हम कारवाई करेंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि हमारी कोशिश रहती है कि ज्यादा से ज्यादा ओवर ब्रिज बने और लोगों की मुश्किलों का हल हो। इस मौके पर हरदेव सिंह हैपी, सुरजीत सिंह फौजी, स्टेशन मास्टर त्रिलोचन सिंह, मनोज राणा आदि मौजूद थे।

To clear extra rush during the festive season and facilitate passengers in view of ensuing o­nam festival, o­neAC Super Fast special train will be run for the benefit of passengers from New Delhi to Kochuvelli via Vasai Road station o­n 12th September, 2013.


Train No. 04096 New Delhi – Kochuvelli Super Fast Special train will depart from New Delhi at 23.30 hrs o­n 12th September, 2013 (Thursday) and reach Vasai Road at 21.00 hrs. o­n 13th September, 2013 (Friday), and will reach Kochuvelli at 02.45 hrs. o­n Saturday. This train will run o­nly o­n i.e 12th September, 2013 from New Delhi.



In return Direction train no 04095 Kochuvelli– New Delhi AC Super Fast Special train will depart from Kochuvelliat 09.40 hrs o­n 17th September, 2013 (Tuesday) and reach Vasai Road at 16.30 hrs o­n 18th September, 2013 (Wednesday), and will reach New Delhi at 15.20 hrs. o­n Thursday. This train will run o­nly for o­ne day i.e 17th September, 2013 from Kochuvelli.



The train will halt at Mathura, Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Nagda , Ratlam, Dahod, Godhara, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Vapi, Vasai Road, Panvel, Roha, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Pernem, Madgaon, Karwar, Udupi, Manglore Jn. , Kasaragod, Kannur, Kozhikode, Tirur, Shoranur Jn., Thrisur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengammur, Kayankulam and Quilon stations in both direction .



The train will have Ist AC, AC II Tier & AC III Tier coaches.

South Central Railway will run the following Special Trains between Hyderabad-Kakinada Town  in order to clear extra rush of passengers as per the following schedule:-

1.Special Trains between Hyderabad-Kakinada Town via Guntur (2 Services)

      Train No. 07101 Hyderabad-Kakinada Town Special train will depart Hyderabad at 22 40 hrso­n 13thSeptember, 2013, arrive/depart Secunderabad at 23 10/23 15 hrs and arrive Kakinada Town at 09 45 hrs o­n the next day.

    In the return direction, Train No. 07102 Kakinada Town - Hyderabad Special trainwill depart Kakinada Town at 18 00 hrso­n 14thSeptember, 2013 and arrive / depart Secunderabad at 06 00/06 05 hrs and arrive Hyderabad at 06 40 hrs o­n the next day.

    Enroute, these trains will also stop at Nalgonda, Miryalguda, Nadikude, Piduguralla, Sattenapalle, Guntur, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Nidadavolu, Rajahmundry, Anaparti and Samalkot stations in both the directions.

These trains will have 15 coaches viz., seven Sleeper Class, six General Second Class and two Second Class Luggage Cum Brake van Coaches.

2.Special Trains between Kakinada Town-Hyderabad via Gudivada, Bhimavaram & Guntur (2 Services)

Train No. 07201 Kakinada Town-Hyderabad Special Trainwill depart Kakinada Town at 16 00 hrso­n 13th September 2013arrive / depart Secunderabad at 04 15/04 20 hrs o­n the next day and arrive Hyderabad at 04 45 hrs.

In the return direction, Train No. 07202 Hyderabad -Kakinada Town Special trainwill depart Hyderabad at 21 00 hrso­n 14th September 2013,arrive / depart Secunderabad at 21 30/21 35 hrs and arrive Kakinada Town at 09 30 hrs o­n the next day.

Enroute, these trains will also stop at Samalkot, Anaparti, Rajahmundry, Nidadavolu, Tanuku, Bhimavaram Town, Akivedu, Kaikalur, Gudivada, Vijayawada, Guntur, Sattenapalle, Piduguralla, Nadikude, Miryalaguda and Nalgonda stations in both the directions.

Chandigarh: The Northern Railways is introducing a new train on the Ambala-Delhi route to ply daily from September 14. On the inaugural day, the Ambala Cantonment-Delhi junction train (No. 14522) will depart from the Ambala station at 11.25 am and reach the National Capital at 5.20 pm. The train will halt at Barara, Jagadhari Workshop, Jagadhari, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut City, Modi Nagar, Ghaziabad and Shahdara stations on the way to Delhi.Official said the routine schedule will be different from timings on the inaugural day. According to the schedule, the train will depart from Ambala Cantonment at 5.40 am and arrive at Delhi at 11.40 am. On the return journey, the 14521 Delhi junction-Ambala Cantonment train will depart at 1.10 pm and reach Ambala at 7.10 pm.The train comprises 16 coaches that include an AC chair car, ten general class and two differently abled-friendly second class-cum-luggage van coaches.

Announced but awaited

Former Union Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal said he has been communicating with the ministry to commence two trains announced during his tenure: bi-weekly Kalka-Sai Nagar Shirdi Express, via Chandigarh, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Bhopal and Itrasi, and weekly Una-Nangaldam-Hazoor Saheb Nanded Express, via Chandigarh. The schedule for running these trains has not been finalised yet, due to the non-availability of rail coaches.

Other trains still awaiting the green signal despite being announced by Bansal include the Chandigarh-Amritsar Intercity Express, via Mohali and Ludhiana (daily); Indore-Chandigarh Express, via Dewas, Ujjain, Guna, Gwalior and Hazrat Nizamuddin (weekly); Kalka-Jammu-Udhampur to Katra Express, via Chandigarh (bi-weekly); Patlipura-Chandigarh Express, via Chandigarh, Ambala Cantt. and Saharanpur (bi-weekly); Amritsar-Lalkuan Express, via Chandigarh (weekly); and Yesvantpur (Bengaluru)-Nizamuddin to Chandigarh.

In order to clear extra rush of passengers during ensuing festive occasions, South Eastern Railway (SER) has decided to run 17 pairs of fully air-conditioned special  trains with pantry car facility between Santragachi-Chennai and Santragachi-Mumbai(LTT) on different nominated days in between October 5 and December 2.

(08041) Santragachi-Chennai Weekly AC Superfast Special (nine pairs), leaving Santragachi every Saturday at 7 pm will reach Chennai at 10.45 pm the next day.  In the return direction, the train (08042) will leave Chennai at 7.50 am every Monday arriving Santragachi at 10.25 am, the next day. The AC Superfast Special train consisting of 15 coaches (AC 3 tier-7, AC 2 tier-4, 1st AC-1, Pantry Car-1 and Luggage Van-2) will have stoppages at Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar,Khurda Road, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Ongole, Nellore & Gudur between Santragachi and Chennai.

(08060) Santragachi-Mumbai (LTT) Weekly Superfast AC Special (eight pairs), leaving Santragachi at 06.05 am every Wednesday will reach Mumbai (LTT) at 1.35 pm on the following day.  In the return direction; the special train (08059) will leave Mumbai (LTT) at 00.45 am every Friday arriving Santragachi at 08am on the next day. The Superfast AC special train consisting of 15 coaches (AC 3 tier-7, AC 2 tier-4, 1st AC-1, Pantry Car-1 and luggage van-2) will have stoppages at Kharagpur, Tatanagar, Chakradharpur, Rourkela, Jharsuguda, Bilaspur, Raipur, Durga, Gondia, Nagpur, Wardha, Badnera, Akola, Bhusawal, Manmad, Nasik, Igatpuri and  Kalyan between Santragachi and Mumbai(LTT).

This is in addition to 73 pairs of Puja Special Trains between Santragachi-Puri(9 pairs), Shalimar- Yeswantpur(8 pairs), Santragachi-Anand Vihar(8 pairs), Santragachi-Kochuveli( 9 pairs), Sealdah-Puri(7 pairs), Tata-Bhagalpur( 8 pairs), Hatia-Yeswantpur( 8 pairs) and Ranchi-Kathihar(16 pairs) which have been announced earlier by SER
