20.6.2013 (UNI) Allahabad High Court directed principal secretary (medical and health) to provide necessary treatment to the Maha Kumbh devotees, who were injured during stampede at Allahabad railway station.

The bench consisting of Justices Arun Tandon and Vipin Sinha passed this order on the petition of Prakash Khanna of Delhi, who was also injured in the stampede.

In the petition, he alleged that they were subject to ignorance at Swaroop Rani hospital in Allahabad. They were neither getting free medicines nor food at the hospital, besides they were not being attended properly by the medicos.

The court has asked principal secretary (medical and health) to resolve the matter in two weeks and ensure them necessary medical help.

उन्होंने दोनों गांवों में तट कटाव को रोकने के लिए संबंधित विभागों के अधिकारियों को दिशा निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने कहा कि गांवों में स्थिति सामान्य हो रही है और डॉक्टरों की टीमें गांव-गांव जाकर स्वास्थ्य की जांच कर रही हैं। इसके अलावा अन्य जरूरी वस्तुएं भी बाढ़ प्रभावित क्षेत्रों में लोगों को दी जा रही हैं।
यूपी के रास्ते खुले, लोगों ने ली राहत की सांस 
कलानौर के पास क्षतिग्रस्त पुलिया को ठीक कर दिया है। इसके बाद ट्रैक को आवाजाही के लिए खोल दिया गया। उधर, रोडवेज ने भी यूपी के लिए बस सर्विस शुरू कर दी है। इससे लोगों ने राहत की सांस ली है। ट्रैक पर सुबह साढ़े दस बजे ट्रायल लिया गया।
इस दौरान यहां से एक मालगाड़ी को निकाला गया। सही रिपोर्ट मिलने पर ट्रैक को आवाजाही के लिए पूरी तरह से खोल दिया गया। रेलवे के डीआरएम पीके सांघी ने बताया कि सुबह ट्रायल के बाद ट्रैक पूरी तरह से खोल दिया गया। रोडवेज प्रवक्ता ने बताया कि बुधवार से बसें यूपी जा रही हैं।
अम्बाला-सहारनपुर रेलमार्ग दोबारा बहाल
दो दिन लगातार ठप रहने के बाद बुधवार अम्बाला-सहारनपुर रेलमार्ग बहाल हो गया है। रेलमार्ग बहाल होने से यात्रियों ने राहत महसूस की है। रेलमार्ग बंद होने की वजह से दर्जनों ट्रेनों को रेलवे द्वारा डाइवर्ट किया गया था जबकि कई ट्रेनों को रद्द करना पड़ा था। बुधवार रेलमार्ग बहाल हुआ तो रेलवे ने बेहद धीमे रफ्तार से यमुनानगर नदी के पुल से ट्रेनों को निकाला। डाउन लाइन मध्य रात्रि 1.10 मिनट पर आरंभ की गई जबकि अप लाइन प्रात: 8.50 मिनट पर बहाल हुई। बुधवार कई ट्रेनों को धीमे रफ्तार से निकाला गया।

CHANDIGARH: In the wake of damage to the Chandigarh-Saharanpur track, passengers of Chandigarh-Lucknow bound express trains had to face several problems on Wednesday due to cancellations of both the trains from Chandigarh. They ran from Saharanpur instead. Although the engineering wing of railways restored the damaged Chandigarh-Saharanpur track on Monday afternoon, information was released before the restoration of the track as authorities did not want to confuse passengers. "Restoration of the line was done at 2pm. But earlier, we were not aware of when repair work would be completed. Therefore, for the convenience of passengers, we did not change the train schedule. From Thursday, trains will run from Chandigarh", said Gulshan Kumar, senior division commercial manager of Ambala division.Thousand of passengers travel to Lucknow from Chandigarh railway station in the Chandigarh Lucknow Express and Sadbhavna Express everyday. "I came to know in the afternoon that the damaged railway line has been restored, but when I reached the railway station, I came to know that the train had been cancelled on Wednesday. So I had to postpone my journey", said Kedar Nath, a city resident.

अगर आप रेलवे स्टेशन पर ट्रेन से संबंधित जानकारी लेने के लिए जा रहे हैं तो आपको निराश होकर लौटना पड़ेगा। क्योंकि स्टेशन पर काउंटर तो है, लेकिन बताने के लिए कर्मचारी नहीं है।
जनपद में हाथरस जंक्शन, हाथरस सिटी और हाथरस किला तीन रेलवे स्टेशन हैं। यात्रियों की सुविधाओं के लिए यहां पर पूछताछ काउंटर स्थित है। जानकारी देने के लिए माइक आदि सभी सुविधाएं मौजूद हैं, लेकिन इन काउंटरों से कर्मचारी नदारद रहते हैं। ऐसे में यात्रियों को भारी परेशानी हो रही है।
सबसे अधिक समस्या हाथरस जंक्शन पर है। यहां पर दो रुट हैं। एक अलीगढ़ दिल्ली जाने वाली आदि ट्रेनेँ नीचे से होकर जाती है, दूसरी कासगंज मथुरा आदि जाने वाली ट्रेनें ऊपर स्थित रेलवे स्टेशन से होकर जाती हैं। यात्री को ट्रेन की जानकारी नहीं होने पर इधर उधर भटकते रहते हैं। इन हालात में उनकी ट्रेन भी छूट जाती हैं।

हटिया रेलवे स्टेशन के आरक्षण केंद्र पर अनियमितता की शिकायत पर बुधवार को रेलवे निगरानी और सीबीआइ की भ्रष्टाचार निरोधक शाखा ने संयुक्त छापेमारी की। सुबह 10 बजे से लेकर देर रात नौ बजे तक चली छापेमारी में भारी अनियमितता सामने आई है। इसमें काउंटर पर ज्यादा टिकट सेल और पैसे कम मिले हैं। ग्राहकों के रिक्विजिशन स्लिप, तत्काल टिकटों में हेराफेरी, एक गाड़ी व कुछ कागजात भी जब्त किए गए हैं, जिसकी जांच हो रही है।
सीबीआइ की पूछताछ में बहुत सारी बातें सामने आई हैं। दलाल भी चिह्नित किए गए हैं। जांच एजेंसी के रडार पर रेलवे से जुड़े कई अधिकारी व कर्मचारी सामने आए हैं, जिसका सत्यापन हो रहा है।
रेलवे निगरानी व सीबीआई के हत्थे चढ़े दलालों में किशोर कुमार, विजय कुमार सिंह, साकेत, उदय शंकर शामिल हैं। वहीं, एक रेलकर्मी आरआर बाड़ा भी पकड़ा गया, जिससे पूछताछ की गई। पकड़े गये कर्मी बाड़ा के पास से काटे गये टिकट की राशि में अनियमितता के अलावा भरे हुए छह आवेदन फार्म बरामद किए गए। पूछताछ के क्रम में रेलकर्मी ने स्वीकार किया कि वह फार्म उसने एजेंट से लिये थे। ठोस सबूत न मिलने पर पांच आरोपियों से घंटोँ पूछताछ के बाद छोड़ दिया गया। जानकारी के अनुसार आरोपी रेलकर्मी पर जांच के बाद विभागीय कार्रवाई होगी।

जांच के दौरान रखा दूर
जब दोनों टीमों की संयुक्त जांच चल रही थी उस वक्त कई रेलकर्मियों व सुरक्षाबल के जवानों को दूर रखा गया था। सूचना लीक न हो, इसके लिए विशेष एहतियात बरती जा रही थी। हर संवेदनशील व्यक्तियों पर नजर रखी गयी थी। इसके अलावा आरक्षण काउंटर के कम्प्यूटर से लेकर रजिस्ट्रार तक को देखा गया।

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, JUN 19:   General consultancy agreement for setting up monorail projects in Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode was signed here on Wednesday.

Special purpose vehicle Kerala Monorail Corporation signed the agreement with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation at a ceremony at the State Assembly complex.

SEAMLESS TRAVEL

P.C. Harikesh, managing director, Kerala Monorail, and S.D. Sharma, director, business development, Delhi Metro, represented the respective parties.

As per terms, Delhi Metro will undertake all necessary works with respect to announcement, entertainment and assessment of contractor’s documents.

It will develop models for ‘seamless travel’ in consultation with Kerala Monorail featuring common ticketing and integration with Southern Railway, suburban and urban transport networks.

The cost of implementation of ‘seamless travel,’ which assures travel facility across these modes of transport, will be part of the project cost.

Delhi Metro will also recommend to Kerala Monorail a pre-qualified list for the latter’s acceptance.

It will prepare formal evaluation criteria and procedures for evaluation of the proposals; obtain approvals from Kerala Monorail; and assist it to invite bids from pre-qualified contractors.

PROPOSAL EVALUATION

Delhi Metro will also perform independent evaluation of all bid proposals for all contracts received, including ranking of bidders.

It will exercise all technical, financial and contract management powers and all proposals will be put up to Kerala Monorail for its final approval for taking appropriate decision.

Kerala Monorail will then oversee the quality assurance aspects, as considered necessary.

Delhi Metro will also be responsible for arranging funds for the project and payment to contractors/consultants upon certification.

Availability of all land will be ensured to the contractor in time. Widening of road from Mananchira to Meenchantha at Kozhikode and Kariavattom to Kesavadasapuram in Thiruvananthapuram will be completed at the earliest.

ROAD OVERBRIDGES

Delhi Metro will ensure completion of road overbridges at Panniyankara in Kozhikode and four flyovers at Sreekariyam, Ulloor, Pattom and Plamoodu in Thiruvananthapuram.

It will also provide all assistance in getting shifted in time utility services laid by various Government and non-Government organisations.

Details given in the detailed project report may be reviewed, if necessary, by the general consultant. It will also help Kerala Monorail with preparation of ‘request for qualification’ documents and inviting bids thereof.

The latter will get assistance for setting up pre-bid meetings and clarifications required, if any. Delhi Metro will evaluate technical bids and put up recommendations.

The general consultant will also assist Kerala Monorail with the process of inviting ‘request for qualification’ bids.

New Delhi : Mallikarjun Kharge assumed charge as the Union Minister of Railways here on Wednesday.Immediately after assuming the office, Kharge was briefed by Railway Board chairman Vinay Mittal, board members and senior officials on various important issues concerning the Railway Ministry, including the priority areas.Prior to this, Kharge was Union Minister of Labour and Employment. He is a Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Gulbarga constituency in Karnataka.Kharge is a law graduate from Government College, Gulbarga, Karnataka University and is an advocate, social worker and agriculturist. He has had a long political career during which he has held several important portfolios. He was member, Karnataka state assembly for nine terms from 1972 to 2009.From 1979, he has served as Cabinet Minister, Government of Karnataka in various departments in varying spells. MANGALORE, JUNE 20:   The Southern Railway has changed the Mangalore-Chennai Egmore train numbers. The revised train numbers will come into effect from September 1, 2013.

A press release by the Palakkad division of Southern Railway said here that the train no. of Chennai Egmore-Mangalore Central Express will be changed from 16107 to 16859 and the train no. of Mangalore Central-Chennai Egmore will be changed from 16108 to 16860.

The train no. of Karikal-Ernakulam Express will be changed from 16865 to 16185 and the train no. of Ernakulam-Karikal Express from 16866 to 16186, the release added.
