LUCKNOW: Additional session judge Lallu Singh on Friday acquitted IASShashiBhusanLalSushil in the Lucknow Mail attempt to rape case. The court did not find adequate evidence against the officer. The IAS was challaned by GRP for attempting to commit rape on a passenger. The victim stated during trial that she suspected that the officer who boarded from Ghaziabad had bad eyes on her when her mother went to toilet while the Lucknow Mail arrived near Sandila. The victim's mother had lodged FIR on October 1, 2012 that her daughter told that the officer touched her with bad intention after he boarded at Ghaziabad. The police had chargesheeted him under sections 354,376 read with 511 of IPC.

भागलपुर: रेल मंत्रलय ने भागलपुर से आनंद बिहार तक जाने वाली विक्रमशिला सुपर फास्ट ट्रेन की बोगी की संख्या को 22 से 24 करने के मालदा डिवीजन की मांग को पर अपनी मुहर लगा दी है. साथ ही ट्रेन के लिए अधिक हॉर्स पावर के इंजन की मांग को भी स्वीकृत कर दिया है. ऐसा रिजर्वेशन की किचकिच और यात्रियों की संख्या में बढ़ोतरी को देखते हुए किया गया है.

अगस्त माह से विक्रमशिला सुपर फास्ट एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन जल्द ही 24 बोगी के साथ साढ़े पांच हजार हॉर्स पावर वाले इंजन के साथ भागलपुर से आनंद विहार के लिए रवाना होगी. मंत्रलय ने लगभग 20 अधिक हार्स पावर वाले इंजन भी मालदा डिवीजन को देने का फैसला किया है. नया इंजन लग जाने से मेन लाइन पर गाड़ी की रफ्तार नये इंजन के साथ 110 प्रति घंटे की होगी.

यात्रियों को मिलेगी सुविधा : दिल्ली जाने वाले यात्रियों की संख्या अधिक है. और हमेशा विक्रमशिला में यात्रियों की संख्या बहुत अधिक रहती है. हमेशा एसी और स्लीपर में आरक्षित टिकट के लिए मारामारी रहती है. दो कोच लगने के बाद इन्हें आरक्षित टिकट मिलने में कोई दिक्कत नहीं होगी.

Jaipur: The contingency plan for the operation of trains on the Metro route will be a costly affair too. According to the sources, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has agreed to supply the tested three trains to the Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC) for ferrying the passengers, but these trains are likely to be purchased.    A train costs around Rs8-10 crore, therefore Rs30 crore could be spent on the purchase.    Also, there is strong possibility that the Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation can returns the trains by paying the to-and-fro transport fee of the trains and when the trains meant for Jaipur project start operation.    NC Goel, CMD with the Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation, said that no decision has been made over the purchase of these trains yet. So, passengers will get a ride once in 15 min instead of 6 min DNA Correspondent    Despite delay in Metro works, the Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC) has decided to run two trains in July month and start ferrying services for the passengers. The passengers will have to wait for long to get a seat in the Metro trains because of lower frequency of the trains.    As per the direction of UDH minister Shanti Dhariwal, the JMRC would be supplied with three trains from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). The minister charted this contingency plan because 10 trains which are scheduled to be delivered for Jaipur Metro project in a couple of months will need to be tested for safety clearance. And two to three months will be consumed in some other works.   During all this, the elevated track will not remain unoccupied as the two trains, which will be transported from Delhi, are supposed to start plying in July.    These trains are already tested and only need to be put on the track for operation. But the two trains will not be able to meet the expectations of the people.    As initially, there would be only two trains, so their frequency will be very low. Sources said that the frequency between two trains will be of around 12-15 minutes. Thus, people willing to board the Metro will have to wait for up to 15 minutes. The trains will run at a speed of 32-kilometre per hour. As per the detailed project report drafted by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), the peak hour frequency has been set at six minutes while the lean hour frequency is from 8 to 15 minutes. The peak hour has been decided to take up to three minutes in future.   Sources added that the lowest frequency will trouble the passengers for a couple of months (July-August) only. Later when testing of new trains would be complete, the frequency will go up considerably.    “The headway will remain 12 to 15 minutes when the two trains get operational. Later, it would be reduced up to 3-5 minutes when the headways are increased,” said Anil Singhal, deputy chief engineer with the DMRC.

ALLAHABAD: Loco Pilots ( Drivers) and Assistant Loco Pilots (Assistant Drivers) driving the trains are our vital asset and we should take care for their welfare, asserted general manager of North Central Railway Alok Johri while addressing the Sr DME (Senior Divisional mechanical Engineers) conference organized at NCR headquarters at Subedarganj on Friday. In the conference, performance review of the mechanical department for the year 2012-13 was made and the targets of the year 2013-14 were also discussed.Speaking further, general manager Alok Johri observed that as drivers and assistant drivers carry number of lives on their shoulders, we should take steps for their welfare. While referring to future planning of the mechanical department, he said that our weaknesses should be identified and steps should be taken to plug them. He said that our response should be fast and directed.He also instructed for observing cleanliness in the trains and the station premises as the passengers are directly affected by it. In this connection, Pest and Rodents Control plan is effectively working at Allahabad and this plan is being implemented at Kanpur from March this year. Speaking at the conference, chief mechanical engineer Syed Kabir Ahmad observed that there has been no asset failure of the mechanical department in the Kumbh Mela. Further, there has been considerable improvement in mechanical parameters in this year which is the result of the efforts of the staff of the mechanical department.

He also informed that for the welfare of the loco pilots (drivers) and assistant loco pilots ( assistant drivers), drop out boxes have been placed in the drivers' lobby. The loco pilots need no go to the office to get their privileged passes but they simply drop their requisition in the box. Their passes are released the next day.

He also informed about the Midlife Rehabilitation Workshop that is currently being underway at Jhansi. At this workshop, arrangements will be made for the maintenance of train coaches. Chief Workshop Engineer Anoop Kumar conducted the meeting. All the principal heads of the departments, senior divisional mechanical engineers of Allahabad, Agra and Jhansi division, officers of Jhansi workshop, Sithauli workshop and mechanical department were present in the meeting.

इलाहाबाद। इलाहाबाद जंक्शन पर पिछले कई दिनों से बंद एक्सेलरेटर के कारण यात्रियों की परेशानी बढ़ गई है। सबसे ज्यादा दिक्कत सीढ़ियां चढ़ने वाले बुजुर्ग यात्रियों को हो रही है।

इलाहाबाद जंक्शन पर कुंभ मेले के पहले लाखों रुपए की लागत से एक्सेलरेटर लगाए गए। हालांकि कुंभ मेला के दौरान उमड़ी भीड़ के चलते एस्केलेटर रेलवे प्रशासन ने बंद कर रखे थे लेकिन मेला खत्म होने के बाद इसे चालू कर दिया गया लेकिन रेलवे प्रशासन ने बिना किसी सूचना के पिछले कुछ दिनों से इसे बंद कर रखा है। सिविल लाइंस साइड में एक्सेलरेटर के चारों तरफ कुछ दिन बैरीकेडिंग भी कर दी गई। ऐसा क्यों कराया गया, अफसरों के पास इसका जवाब नहीं है। एनसीआर के पीआरओ अमित मालवीय का कहना है कि एक्सेलरेटर में किसी तरह की खराबी नहीं है, बल्कि इसे सर्विस के लिए बंद किया गया था। शनिवार से इसका संचालन शुरू हो जाएगा।

CHENNAI: One sleeper coach was gutted and two coaches were damaged in a fire accident at Basin Bridge railway yard near Chennai Central on Saturday morning. Nobody was injured. The coach belonged to Chennai-Chhapra Express. Two other coaches - a sleeper coach and an AC coach - were damaged. Workers prevented the fire from spreading to other trains. The rake was at pit line for maintenance when a fire that broke out in an AC coach spread to the sleeper coach. Fire and Rescue Services rushed to the yard and put out the flames. Basin Bridge is largest yard where several train that come Chennai Central are maintained and readied for service.

प्रतापगढ़ : रेलवे ने दो माह के लिए समर स्पेशल ट्रेनों को चलाकर कोलकाता व हरिद्वार का सफर आसान किया है। वहीं अभी भी दिल्ली व मुंबई के लिए एक भी स्पेशल ट्रेन न चलने से यात्रियों को मुसीबत उठानी पड़ रही है।

हावड़ा से हरिद्वार अप 18 अप्रैल को दोपहर 1.30 बजे जंक्शन से होते हुए हरिद्वार को जाएगी। वहीं हावड़ा से हरिद्वार डाउन ट्रेन कोलकाता जाने के लिए 19 अप्रैल को अपराह्न 3.30 बजे बेल्हा पहुंचेगी। इन समर स्पेशल ट्रेनों के चलने से बेल्हा के लोगों को राहत मिली है। शुक्रवार को आरक्षण टिकट काउंटर पर इस ट्रेन के लिए टिकट आरक्षित कराने वालों की भीड़ देखी गई। यात्रियों की मांग है कि कोलकाता व हरिद्वार की तरह ही मुंबई व दिल्ली के लिए भी समर स्पेशल ट्रेन चलाई जाए ताकि लोगों को इस गर्मी में ट्रेन की सुविधा का लाभ बेल्हा से मिल सके।
