भागलपुर: रेल मंत्रलय ने भागलपुर से आनंद बिहार तक जाने वाली विक्रमशिला सुपर फास्ट ट्रेन की बोगी की संख्या को 22 से 24 करने के मालदा डिवीजन की मांग को पर अपनी मुहर लगा दी है. साथ ही ट्रेन के लिए अधिक हॉर्स पावर के इंजन की मांग को भी स्वीकृत कर दिया है. ऐसा रिजर्वेशन की किचकिच और यात्रियों की संख्या में बढ़ोतरी को देखते हुए किया गया है.

अगस्त माह से विक्रमशिला सुपर फास्ट एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन जल्द ही 24 बोगी के साथ साढ़े पांच हजार हॉर्स पावर वाले इंजन के साथ भागलपुर से आनंद विहार के लिए रवाना होगी. मंत्रलय ने लगभग 20 अधिक हार्स पावर वाले इंजन भी मालदा डिवीजन को देने का फैसला किया है. नया इंजन लग जाने से मेन लाइन पर गाड़ी की रफ्तार नये इंजन के साथ 110 प्रति घंटे की होगी.

यात्रियों को मिलेगी सुविधा : दिल्ली जाने वाले यात्रियों की संख्या अधिक है. और हमेशा विक्रमशिला में यात्रियों की संख्या बहुत अधिक रहती है. हमेशा एसी और स्लीपर में आरक्षित टिकट के लिए मारामारी रहती है. दो कोच लगने के बाद इन्हें आरक्षित टिकट मिलने में कोई दिक्कत नहीं होगी.

The Waltair Division of East Coast Railway (E. Co. R) has become one of the few Divisions on Indian Railways, which has an originating loading in excess of 50 MT. The freight revenue earnings of the Waltair Division has also crossed the Rs.5,000-mark and touched Rs.5,275.83 crore, according to Divisional Railway Manager Anil Kumar.Addressing the gathering at the 58{+t}{+h}Railway Week celebrations here on Friday, the DRM attributed the increase in loading during 2012-13 to the increase in the loading of iron ore, gypsum, alumina and steel. He felt that the performance could have been better had the Division not suffered heavy losses in the Kothavalsa – Kirandul (K-K line) in December last year due to the cyclone.On the passenger front, the originating passenger traffic in 2012-13 has been 32.94 millions, which was 4 per cent higher than the previous year’s originating passenger traffic of 31.62 millions. The originating passenger earnings in 2012-13 at Rs.312.96 crore was 11 per cent higher than the earnings of Rs.280.89 crore achieved in 2011-12. Mr. Anil Kumar said that a total of 222 special trains were run and a total of 2,378 extra coaches were attached to various express trains running over the Division to clear the extra rush.

Irked with a daily 36-minute time gap between two departing local trains, furious male commuters are up in arms against the Vashi-Thane ladies’ special train that is causing the hindrance for them at Vashi railway station.Male passengers travelling from Vashi to Thane say that day after day chaos prevails between 5.25 pm and 6.01 pm at platform no 1 and 2 at Vashi railway station, as male passengers heading towards Thane have to wait for over half an hour till the next train arrives. The reason for this long wait is nothing but the 5.42 pm ladies special train which is run especially for the convenience of women commuters. Moreover, they are inconvenienced as the next train that arrives is usually packed to capacity.Although most men clearly state that they have no issue with the railways running a train for the benefit of lady passengers, their problem is the long wait they have to endure at the platform because of it.Trouble mainly persists for those commuters taking the train from Vashi and Sanpada railway stations as from Turbhe onwards one can even board locals that originate from Panvel, Belapur and Nerul.Basavraj Baluri, who commutes to his residence in Ambernath via Thane from Vashi, and hence is required to board a Thane-Vashi local train, was recently seen complaining to the Vashi stationmaster who asked him to express his grievance by drafting a letter to railway authorities. “This was just one of the days that I was traveling via this route and faced this kind of inconvenience. Since, I would have to soon travel regularly via this route because of my professional commitments, I am planning to submit a letter requesting the Railways to at least reserve two compartments for gents so that we do not have to wait and waste our time like this,” said Baluri.

A few young boys who travel on this route opine that in case they miss the 5.24 pm train, the chances of them reaching late to their destination is quite high. Koperkhairane resident Ranjit Sinha, who works in Sanpada, said, “I do not understand the need of plying a ladies special train on this route considering the crowd here is nothing as compared to the Western and Central lines.”

Considering there are no fast trains that run on this route, commuters say that they have no option but to remain patient and wait for the next train. “One has to keep some time spare while traveling on this stretch because the frequency of trains is extremely poor,” said Kalyan resident Shiva Prasad (20), a daily commuter who boards the train from Sanpada station.

AK Singh, PRO, Central Railways, said that till now they had not received any complaints as such. However, when asked if they would designate two compartments for gents, he said, “There is no question of it at all, considering it’s a ladies’ special train. Till now we have not received any official complaints from commuters. We would look into the matter if required.”

Southern Railway will run the following Weekly Summer Specials to clear the extra rush of passengers during the months of April, May & June 2013.

T.No.06013 Chennai Egmore – Bikaner Weekly Special will leave Chennai Egmore at 15.15 hrs. o­n Mondays from 22.4.2013 to 10.6.2013 and arrive Bikaner at 17.00 hrs.  on Wednesdays. T.No.06014 Bikaner - Chennai Egmore Weekly Special will leave Bikaner at 14.55 hrs. o­n Thursdays from 25.4.2013 to 13.6.2013 and arrive Chennai Egmore at 15.00 hrs. o­n Saturdays.

The composition of the trains will be 4 AC 3-tier, 8 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

മുസഫര്‍പുര്‍-യശ്വന്ത്പുര്‍ വണ്ടി പാളംതെറ്റിയ ആര്‍ക്കോണം-ചിത്തേരിയില്‍ ട്രാക്ക് പുനഃസ്ഥാപിച്ചു. 400 മീറ്ററോളം അകലത്തില്‍ പൂര്‍ണമായും ഇളകിപ്പോയ പാളം വ്യാഴാഴ്ച ഉച്ചയോടെയാണ് പുനഃസ്ഥാപിച്ചത്. ചെന്നൈയില്‍നിന്ന് ജയ്പുര്‍വരെ പോകുന്ന ഡീസല്‍ എഞ്ചിന്‍ വണ്ടിയാണ് ആദ്യം കടന്നുപോയത്. വൈകുന്നേരത്തോടെ വൈദ്യുതിസംവിധാനങ്ങളും പ്രവര്‍ത്തനക്ഷമമായി. തിരുവനന്തപുരം എക്‌സ്​പ്രസ് ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ വൈദ്യുതി വണ്ടികളും കടത്തിവിട്ടു.

അപകടം ഉണ്ടായ സ്ഥലത്ത് വേഗനിയന്ത്രണം തുടരുന്നുണ്ട്. പരമാവധി 10 കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ വേഗത്തിലാവും ചിത്തേരിയിലൂടെ വണ്ടി കടന്നുപോകുക. സംവിധാനങ്ങള്‍ പൂര്‍ണതോതിലാവാന്‍ ഒരാഴ്ചയോളം എടുക്കുമെന്നാണ് അറിയുന്നത്. ഒരു ട്രാന്‍സ്‌ഫോമര്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ വൈദ്യുതിസംവിധാനങ്ങള്‍ എല്ലാം തകര്‍ന്നുപോയിരുന്നു. വൈദ്യുതിത്തൂണുകളും നിലം പറ്റി.

ചെന്നൈനിന്ന് പോകുന്ന ട്രാക്കാണ് തകര്‍ന്നത്. ഇതുകാരണം വ്യാഴാഴ്ച ഒമ്പത് വണ്ടികള്‍ റദ്ദുചെയ്യേണ്ടി വന്നിരുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ ഇത് ട്രാക്കിലെ പ്രശ്‌നംമൂലമല്ല. നേരത്തേ റദ്ദുചെയ്ത വണ്ടികള്‍ തിരികെയെത്തുന്നതും മറ്റുമായ സര്‍വീസ് സംബന്ധമായ പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങള്‍ മൂലമാണ് ട്രെയിനുകള്‍ മുടങ്ങിയതെന്ന് റെയില്‍വേ പി.ആര്‍.ഒ വി.ജെ. അക്കമ്മ അറിയിച്ചു.

इलाहाबाद। इलाहाबाद जंक्शन पर पिछले कई दिनों से बंद एक्सेलरेटर के कारण यात्रियों की परेशानी बढ़ गई है। सबसे ज्यादा दिक्कत सीढ़ियां चढ़ने वाले बुजुर्ग यात्रियों को हो रही है।

इलाहाबाद जंक्शन पर कुंभ मेले के पहले लाखों रुपए की लागत से एक्सेलरेटर लगाए गए। हालांकि कुंभ मेला के दौरान उमड़ी भीड़ के चलते एस्केलेटर रेलवे प्रशासन ने बंद कर रखे थे लेकिन मेला खत्म होने के बाद इसे चालू कर दिया गया लेकिन रेलवे प्रशासन ने बिना किसी सूचना के पिछले कुछ दिनों से इसे बंद कर रखा है। सिविल लाइंस साइड में एक्सेलरेटर के चारों तरफ कुछ दिन बैरीकेडिंग भी कर दी गई। ऐसा क्यों कराया गया, अफसरों के पास इसका जवाब नहीं है। एनसीआर के पीआरओ अमित मालवीय का कहना है कि एक्सेलरेटर में किसी तरह की खराबी नहीं है, बल्कि इसे सर्विस के लिए बंद किया गया था। शनिवार से इसका संचालन शुरू हो जाएगा।

MANGALORE: Palakkad division has been adjudged the best division among the six divisions in Southern Railway for 2012 - 2013. General manager's inter-divisional overall efficiency shield was presented to Palakkad division during the 58th Railway Week Celebration held at head quarters, Chennai on Friday. E Sreedharan, principal advisor to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd., was the chief Guest in the celebrations.Sreedharan presented the General Manager's inter-divisional overall efficiency shield to Piyush Agarwal, divisional railway manager, Palakkad. The division also won the commercial efficiency shield, engineering efficiency shield, mechanical efficiency shield, security efficiency shield and signal and tele-communications efficiency shield.
