Eight Weekly Special Trains Between Visakhapatnam And Nanded from 9th July to 31st July 2013

      In order to clear extra rush of passengers eight weekly special trains will run between Visakhapatnam and Nanded from 9th July to 31stJuly 2013 as per the following schedule:-

          Train No. 08509 Visakhapatnam-Nanded Special Train will depart Visakhapatnam at 19 30 hrs o­n 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30thJuly 2013 (Tuesdays) and arrive Nanded at 14 35 hrs o­n the next day.

  In the return direction, Train No. 08510 Nanded - Visakhapatnam Special Train will depart Nanded at 16 15 hrs o­n 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st July 2013 (Wednesdays) and arrive Visakhapatnam at 10 15 hrs o­n the next day.

            Enroute these trains will stop at  Rajahmundry, Tadepalligudem, Eluru, Vijayawada, Kazipet, Secunderbad, Kamareddy, Nizamabad, Basar and Mudkhed stations in both the directions.
The Train will comprise of nineteen coaches viz., o­ne AC II Tier, o­ne AC III Tier, ten Sleeper Class, five General Second Class and two Luggage cum Brake Van Coaches.

The dream of using diesel locomotives instead of oil-fired locomotives on the Nilgiris Mountain Railway (NMR) will remain a dream. Technical infeasibility has been stated as the official reason for not being able to make the move. Also, the operation of additional services on the NMR section has been ruled out claiming that the move ensures the safety of the passengers.

It was told that oil-fired locomotives had sufficient hauling capacity and the authorities see no reason in changing the system. They believe that the existing system is better off than what it replaced – coal fired locomotives, as it helped deal with many operational bottlenecks quite ably.

Measures will however be taken for clearing the rainwater drain systems which have got choked over the years, along the NMR section and steps would be initiated for using mesh nets which will help combat land slips. Increase in number of locomotives was also on the cards. What fails to get registered in their minds is that the increase in the number of operational locomotives will not help in introducing more services.

They also said that there was no reason to fret as Southern Railway has been offering world-class services despite all odds. The services have not diminished in standard although the budgetary allocation considerably has.

  इस निर्णय के तहत गाड़ी सं. 04804 बांद्रा टर्मिनस-जोधपुर साप्ताहिक विशेष गाड़ी अब  27 जुलाई तक प्रत्येक शनिवार को बांद्रा टर्मिनस से 23.55 बजे प्रस्थान करेगी और अगले दिन 17.45 बजे जोधपुर पहुंचेगी. इसी प्रकार वापसी में गाड़ी सं. 04803 जोधपुर-बांद्रा टर्मिनस साप्ताहिक विशेष गाड़ी भी 27 जुलाई तक प्रत्येक शनिवार को जोधपुर से 04.00 बजे प्रस्थान करेगी और उसी दिन 22.25 बजे बांद्रा टर्मिनस पहुंचेगी.

इस गाड़ी को बोरीवली, वापी, वलसाड़, सूरत, भरूच, वड़ोदरा, आणंद, नांदियाड़, अहमदाबाद, महेसाणा जं., पालनपुर, आबूरोड, सिरोही रोड, फालना, मारवाड़ जं., पाली मारवाड़ तथा लूनी स्टेशनों पर ठहरेगी.

  इस गाड़ी में  एसी सेकेंड तथा थर्ड एसी के साथ द्वितीय श्रेणी के शयनयान तथा सामान्य डिब्बे शामिल होंगे. विस्तारित सेवा की बुकिंग 5 जुलाई  से प्रारंभ होगी.

The Railways has decided to extend the services of Visakhapatnam-Nanded-Visakhapatnam weekly special express train from July 9 to 31 and the services of Special Express (train No. 07147/07148) between Visakhapatnam and Secunderabad to clear the extra rush of passengers.

Train No.08509 leaving Visakhapatnam at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesdays from July 9 to 30 will reach Nanded the following days at 2.35 p.m. (Wednesdays).

Train No. 08510 leaving Nanded at 4.15 p.m. on Wednesdays from July 10 to 31 will reach Visakhapatnam the following day at 10.15 a.m. (Thursdays).

En route, this pair of trains stops at Rajahmundry, Tadepalligudam, Eluru, Vijayawada, Kazipet, Secunderabad, Kamareddy, Nizamabad, Basar, and Mudkhed. One AC 2-tier, one AC 3-tier, 10 sleeper class coaches, five general second class, onesecond class sitting-cum-luggage compartment, and one second class sitting–cum-physically challenged passenger coach will be in the composition, according to a statement issued by Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Waltair Division Yelvender Yadav.

Train No. 07147 / 07148 between Visakhapatnam and Secunderabad will run as per the following schedule:

Train no.07147 Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad Special Express will leave Visakhapatnam at 8 p.m. on Saturdays i.e., July 6, 13, 20, and 27and reach Secunderabad at 9.45 a.m. on Sundays. Train No. 07148 Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Special Express will leave Secunderabad at 9.30 p.m. on Fridays i.e., July 5,12,19, and 26and arrive at Visakhapatnam at 10.35 a.m. on Saturdays.

En route, this pair of trains will stop at Kazipet, Warangal, Khammam, Madhira, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundary, Samalkot, Annavaram, Tuni, Anakapalle, and Duvvada in both the directions.

These trains will consist of one I AC, three AC II-Tier and 10 AC III-tier coaches.

            Central Railway will operate Mega Blocks o­n its suburban sections for carrying out maintenance work o­n Sunday 7.7.2013 : -


1)  ON UP SLOW LINE BETWEEN KALYAN AND THANE STATIONS
from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm.
Up slow line services leaving Kalyan from 10.34 am to 3.54 pm will be diverted o­n Up fast line between Kalyan and Mulund stations halting at Dombivli and Thane stations.

All DN fast line services leaving Mumbai CST from 10.08 am  to 2.40 pm will halt at Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup and Mulund stations in addition to their scheduled halts and UP fast line locals leaving Thane station from 10.50 am to 3.08 pm will halt at Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar and Kurla stations in addition to their scheduled halts and arrive their destination15 minutes behind schedule. UP slow line services will not be available at Thakurli, Kopar, Diva, Mumbra and Kalwa Stations. Passengers of these stations are permitted to travel via Dombivli and Thane stations. All slow locals arriving & leaving CST between 10.00 am to 4.00 pm will arrive their destination 15 minutes behind schedule. 
2)  ON UP AND DN  LINE BETWEEN KALYAN AND AMBERNATH STATIONS
from 2.00 pm to 3.30 pm.
DN local line services will remain suspended between Kalyan and Badlapur stations leaving Kalyan from 1.32 pm to 3.17 pm and UP line locals leaving Badlapur from 1.49 pm to 3.22 pm
However, Shuttle services will run between Badlapur and Karjat during the block period.
UP HARBOUR LINE BETWEEN KURLA AND CHHATRAPATI SHIVAJI TERMINUS &

UP AND DN HARBOUR LINES BETWEEN VADALA ROAD AND MAHIM STATIONS

FROM 11.30 AM TO 3.30 PM.


            Dn Harbour line services to Bandra/Andheri leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus from 10.20 am to 4.32 pm and Up Harbour line services towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus leaving Bandra /Andheri from 10.40 am to 4.41 pm will remain suspended.

Up Harbour line services towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus leaving Kurla from 11.08 am to 3.23 pm will run via Main line between Kurla and Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. These trains will not halt at Currey Road and Chinchpokli stations.

Harbour line passengers for Bandra/ Andheri are permitted to travel Via Main line and Western Railway from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm o­n 7.7.2013.

            All Up and Dn Harbour line services leaving and arriving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus between 11.00 am and 5.00 pm will arrive destination about 10 minutes behind schedule.

            Due to these blocks suburban trains are likely to be more crowded than usual. Passengers are requested not to take any risks while travelling. They are also requested to avoid travelling o­n foot board, roof top of locals and not to board extremely over crowded trains. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused.

T.No.08041/08042 Santragachi - Chennai Central – Santragachi weekly superfast special trains were scheduled to run ex. Santragachi on Saturdays from 06.4.2013 to 29.6.2013 and ex. Chennai Central on Mondays from 08.4.2013 to 01.7.2013.The service of these trains has been extended to clear extra rush of traffic.Accordingly, Train No.08041 Santragachi – Chennai Central special will leave Santragachi at 19.10 hrs. on 06.7.2013, Saturday and arrive Chennai Central at 22.45 hrs. the next day.In the return direction, Train No.08042 Chennai Central – Santragachi special will leave Chennai Central at 07.30 hrs. on 08.7.2013, Monday and reach Santragachi at 11.00 hrs. the next day.
Advance reservation for the above trains will commence on 06.07.2013.

Jammu, July 4: Appealing Government of India to start as early as possible railway construction from Jammu to Poonch via Akhnoor, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Party, vice president, and Ex Member Parliament (MP) Dharam Pal Sharma Thursday called on Union Railway Minister Mallikarjun Kharge.

According to a statement, Dharam Pal Sharma appealed the Union Railway Minister to start rail from Udhampur to Katra, as the construction of railway track has been completed. Sharma congratulated Union Railway Minister Mallikarjun Kharge for connecting Banihal with rest of the Kashmir Valley through railway line, which was inaugurated on June 26, 2013 by the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh himself in the presence of UPA Chairperson and Congress President Sonia Gandhi. JKPCC Dharmpal asked the Union Railway Minister to take the work of rail link between Katra and Banihal on priority basis so that Kashmir is connected with the rest of the country through Railway. The Union Railway Minister assured Dharampal Sharma that his suggestions are already on the top priority of central government and Union Railway Ministry will leave no stone unturned to complete the work in time.
