जौनपुर-औड़िहार के रेलवे लाइन के कदहरा गांव के पास एक मालगाड़ी से उसकी गार्ड बोगी अलग हो गई। ट्रेन चार किमी आगे निकल गई। एक घंटे बाद बोगी को जोड़ने के बाद मालगाड़ी रवाना हुई।
शुक्रवार को रात करीब आठ बजे जौनपुर से औड़िहार की ओर जा रही मालगाड़ी कदहरा गांव के पास गार्डबोगी (ब्रेक ट्रेन पार्टी) से अलग हो गई। मालगाड़ी दनदनाती चार किमी आगे निकल गई। तब गार्ड ने बोगी अलग होने की जानकारी चालक को दी। जानकारी होने के बाद पचवर के पास ट्रेन रोकी। विभागीय पदाधिकारियों को बोगी अलग हो जाने की जानकारी देने के बाद ट्रेन को ट्रैक पर चार किमी तक पीछे लाकर बोगी को जोड़ा। तब जाकर घंटे भर बाद मालगाड़ी रवाना हुई। इस दौरान कई ट्रेनें विलंब से गुजरी।

जयपुर मेट्रो में सिग्नलिंग सिस्टम के इंस्टॉल करने के समय और डिजाइन को लेकर खुद मेट्रो के अधिकारी अंदाज नहीं लगा पाए। वे यह भी अंदाज नहीं लगा पाए कि रेलवे ट्रैक बनने, ट्रायल होने और तैयारी पूरी होने के बाद मुंबई से आने वाली कमिश्नर ऑफ मेट्रो रेल सेफ्टी टीम उन्हें कितने दिन में रिपोर्ट देगी।
ये दो प्रमुख कारण ऐसे हैं जिनका अंदाज नहीं लगाए जाने के कारण ही जयपुर मेट्रो के अधिकारियों ने काम पूरा होने की टारगेट डेट गलत तय कर दी। शानदार ट्रेन और मजबूत ट्रैक तैयार करने वाली मेट्रो टीम यहां धोखा खा गई। अब राज्य सरकार को मेट्रो काम पूरा होने के लिए टारगेट मुक्त करना पड़ा है।
मेट्रो के विशेषज्ञों का कहना है कि दुनिया में सिग्नलिंग सिस्टम लगाने वाली गिनी-चुनी कंपनियां हैं। जयपुर मेट्रो के लिए भी फ्रांस की कंपनी को यहां बुलाया गया है। दिल्ली, बेंगलुरू या अन्य स्थानों पर लगाए गए सिग्नलिंग सिस्टम में जितना-जितना समय लगा, जरूरी नहीं कि उतना समय ही जयपुर मेट्रो के लिए भी लगे। अलग-अलग जगह पर डिजाइन के हिसाब से अलग-अलग समय लगता है।
छोटी दूरी में इंस्टॉल नहीं हो सकता सिस्टम
असल में जयपुर मेट्रो के सिग्नलिंग के लिए डिजाइन मानसरोवर से चांदपोल तक के 9.2 किलोमीटर लंबे ट्रैक के लिए बनाया गया। इसके बाद इसे छोटा कर रेलवे स्टेशन तक के लिए बनाया गया। अधिकारियों का कहना है कि सिग्नलिंग सिस्टम के लिए इससे कम दूरी के लिए डिजाइन बनाना संभव नहीं है। जब तक ट्रैक और अन्य काम पूरे नहीं हो जाते, सिग्नल सिस्टम नहीं लगाए जा सकते। ऐसे में मानसरोवर से श्याम नगर तक ट्रेन चलाई ही नहीं जा सकती, जबकि सिग्नलिंग सिस्टम में सब कुछ स्पेसिफिक होता है, जिसमें देखा जाता है कि एक ट्रेन के बाद दूसरी कितनी देर में चलेगी, दोनों के बीच कितनी दूरी होगी, सभी ट्रेनों का राउंड किस गति से, किस प्रकार से होगा। इंडिकेशन्स कैसे काम करेंगे। इन सबको इंस्टॉल करने के लिए पूरा ट्रैक होना जरूरी है।
दिल्ली मेट्रो की ट्रेन यहां के सिग्नल में काम नहीं करती
जेएमआरसी के सीएमडी गोयल ने स्पष्ट किया कि मुख्यमंत्री अशोक गहलोत की अध्यक्षता में हुई रिव्यू मीटिंग में स्पष्ट रूप से कहा गया है कि टारगेट डेट को छोड़ दें और क्वालिटी व सेफ्टी के लिए काम करें। ऐसे में हमने भी अधिकारियों को इस संबंध में निर्देशित कर दिया है। गोयल ने माना कि दिल्ली मेट्रो की पुरानी ट्रेन यहां के सिग्नलिंग सिस्टम से मैच नहीं कर पाती। उसकी गति धीमी है और वह यहां के सिग्नल पर संचालित नहीं हो सकती थी। ऐसे में उसे मैनुअल संचालित करना पड़ता है।

नयी दिल्ली : दस करोड़ रुपये के रेलवे रिश्वत मामले में पूर्व रेल मंत्री पवन कुमार बंसल को गवाह बनाने के सीबीआई के फैसले पर सवाल उठाते हुए इस मामले के तीन आरोपियों ने आज दिल्ली की एक अदालत से कहा कि जिस व्यक्ति को आरोपी बनाया जाना चाहिए था उसे मुक्त कर दिया गया.
गिरफ्तार आरोपियों राहुल यादव, समीर संधीर और सुशील दागा की जमानत याचिकाओं पर दलील देते हुए उनके अधिवक्ता ने अदालत से कहा कि सीबीआई उन्हें फंसा रही है और वे इस मामले की मुख्य साजिश में शामिल नहीं थे.
अधिवक्ता एसके शर्मा ने विशेष सीबीआई न्यायाधीश स्वर्ण कांता शर्मा से कहा, जिस दिन आपने (सीबीआई) बंसल को इस मामले में गवाह बनाया, इस अदालत को सभी आरोपियों को बरी करना चाहिए था. आखिर जांच किस दिशा में जा रही है? उन्होंने कहा, वे (सीबाआई) इन बेचारों (यादव, संधीर और दागा) को फंसा रहे हैं और जिस व्यक्ति को आरोपी बनाया जाना चाहिए था उसे मुक्त कर दिया गया. अदालत ने उनकी जमानत याचिका पर आदेश नौ मई तक सुरक्षित रखा.
इस मामले में सीबीआई ने बंसल के भांजे विजय सिंगला सहित दस आरोपियों के खिलाफ दो जुलाई को आरोप पत्र में दायर किया था और पूर्व केंद्रीय रेल मंत्री को अभियोजन पक्ष का गवाह बनाया था.
सुनवाई के दौरान, बचाव पक्ष के वकील ने दलील दी कि ये तीन आरोपी दो महीने से अधिक समय से हिरासत में हैं और वे रेलवे बोर्ड के तत्कालीन सदस्य (स्टाफ) महेश कुमार को सदस्य (इलेक्ट्रिकल) के पद पर नियुक्त करने के लिए साजिश में शामिल नहीं थे.
हालांकि सीबीआई ने उनकी याचिका का विरोध करते हुए कहा कि वे इस पूरी साजिश में शामिल थे और अगर उन्हें जमानत पर रिहा किया गया तो वे अभियोजन पक्ष के गवाहों को प्रभावित करेंगे.
इस बीच, अदालत ने एजेंसी से पूछा कि जांच के दौरान दो आरोपियों सीवी वेणुगोपाल और एमवी मुरली कृष्ण को गिरफ्तार क्यों नहीं किया गया जबकि उनकी कथित भूमिका यादव, संधीर और दागा की तरह ही है.
न्यायाधीश ने कहा कि यह बहुत तकलीफदेह है कि इन तीनों को गिरफ्तार किया गया जबकि दो अन्य (वेणुगोपाल और कृष्ण) को सीबीआई ने गिरफ्तार नहीं किया जबकि उनकी भूमिका गिरफ्तार आरोपियों की तरह ही है.

The passengers catching trains from the Bathinda junction are facing a peculiar problem these days. While some passengers have missed their trains in the past few days, others have been reaching the station much before the scheduled time of the train.The confusion among the passengers can be attributed to the time-table of the trains on display at the railway station. The schedule of a couple of trains has been changed since the routes of some of the trains passing through the junction have been extended.Nor have the trains started running on the extended routes neither have the revised timings been displayed at the station for the convenience of the passengers.The trains the route of which have been extended are the Shri Ganganagar-Haridwar, Rishikesh, Dilli-Bathinda, Shri Ganganagar-Bathinda, Chhindwara-Bathinda and the Dhuri-Bathinda trains.“We are yet to get the nod from the higher authorities regarding the extention of routes of these trains. In all probability, the trains will start travelling on their extended routes by the mid of this month,” said the station superintendent, Pradeep Sharma.He added that since the junction authorities had not got the permission for running the trains on the extended routes, the revised time-tables had not been displayed.“Changes in the timings of other trains will be revised soon on the display board. The painters are at work regarding the same. However, the revised time-table of the trains the routes of which have been extended will be display only once the trains start running on their designated routes,” he added.When asked about the confusion the changed schedule was causing to the passengers, he assured that it would last only for a few more days. “We are aiming to revise the time-table display in a day or two. The confusion is unavoidable. We are in the process of changing all the boards which display the train timings at the junction,” he said.Till then, the passengers will have to face the problem with advance information for the ernquiry office being the only way out.

पश्चिम रेल्वेवर मरिन लाइन्स ते माहीमपर्यंत सकाळी १०.३५ ते दुपारी ३.३५ वाजेपर्यंत मेगाब्लॉक घेण्यात येणार आहे. या काळात डाऊन स्लो मार्गावरील लोकल फास्ट मार्गावरून चालवण्यात येतील.

कल्याण ते बदलापूर सेवा खंडित...

कल्याण आणि अंबरनाथ स्टेशनदरम्यान दुपारी २ ते ३.३० वाजेपर्यंत अप आणि डाऊन मार्गावर मेगाब्लॉक घेण्यात येणार आहे. कल्याणवरून सुटणाऱ्या डाऊन मार्गावरील लोकल दुपारी १.३२ ते ३.१७ आणि बदलापूरहून सुटणाऱ्या अप मार्गावरील लोकल दुपारी १.४९ ते दुपारी ३.२२ वाजेपर्यंत खंडित करण्यात आल्या आहेत. प्रवाशांच्या सुविधेसाठी बदलापूर आणि कर्जतदरम्यान विशेष शटल सेवा चालवण्यात येणार आहे.

AURANGABAD: Passengers of the Secunderabad-Mumbai Devgiri Express (17058) had a close shave when on of its compartments partly derailed while changing tracks near the Igatpuri railway station in Nashik district early on Friday morning.Trains along the section were delayed by nearly an hour and had to be diverted.The train, which had originated from Secunderabad at 12.55pm on Friday, left Aurangabad a little after midnight and met with the accident near around 4.15am.The Igatpuri station, close to Kasara Ghat, is located on the busy Mumbai-Nashik route. It is around 1,900 ft above sea level and is 250km from Aurangabad. The railway line passing through the ghat section is considered one of the steepest in the country.Central Railway (headquarters) public relations officer A K Singh said, "A wheel of a compartment of the train jumped the tracks near Igatpuri railway station. All the passengers of the Devgiri Express left for Mumbai in Khushi Nagar Express and Punjab Mail by 8.30am."

Despite recent renovation, much remains to be done to make Bangalore East station passenger friendly. Notwithstanding regular use by the city’s eastern residents, the station, located on Pottery Road, falls short in the basic infrastructure department.

James Wright has been a regular at the Bangalore East Railway Station since the early ‘90s, but the 70-year-old Hennur resident hasn’t seen much change in the station’s conditions over the three decades.

“Hardly anything changed until recently — the station was unusable,” he said, while booking a ticket to Chennai for himself and his wife at the station.

Despite its regular use by the city’s eastern residents, the station, located on Pottery Road, falls short in the basic infrastructure department. Only as recently as 2011, after a renovation, did it get additional booking counters, for instance. Despite the addition, the counters are insufficient: early mornings see heavy crowds, regular commuters said, citing hourlong waits. Toilets are functional, but poorly maintained, with erratic water supply.

Sujata (55) carries two bundles of greens with her across the footbridge every day, to sell in Fraser Town. Her limbs have begun to protest, she says, but there is no other option: on a far end, a single pedestrian footbridge connects the station’s two long platforms.

“Right now, there are no plans for the station,” said Sudhanshu Mani, Divisional Railway Manager of the South Western Railway’s Bangalore Division. He said that while express trains cannot be stopped at the station, passenger trains do halt. “Besides, long-distance trains halt at Krishnarajapuram and Bangalore Cantonment.”

But regular commuters say there is a need for more trains to halt here. “A lot of people from this area travel to Chennai, in particular,” N.S. Ravi, president of the Bharatinagar Residents Forum, said. “We understand the Shatabdi cannot stop. But what about the Brindavan or Lalbagh trains?”

Unlike other stations such as Yeshwantpur or Bangalore Cantonment, the Bangalore East station does not have direct public transport connectivity; train commuters must walk down from the nearest bus-stops — from ITC, Davis Road or Mosque Road.

The station receives a fair amount of footfall, as it is the nearest railway link for people from Banaswadi, Cox Town, Kalyananagar and Jeevanahalli.

Besides, there is hardly any commercial activity on the platforms: till recently, there wasn’t even a single stall on the premises, recalls Mr. Wright.

But most pressing of all, reiterate many regular commuters, is the need for more booking counters. “Some of us with computers can go online and book, but what about the common man?” says Mr. Ravi.

Residents in Tripunithura are on a warpath alleging that Railway authorities have failed to keep their word that halts will be allowed for more express trains at Tripunithura Railway Station. Despite the promise, the proposal was not included in the new Railway timetable, which came to effect on July 1. According to the residents, authorities had promised halts for Parasuram Express, Island Express and Kerala Express at Tripunithura. “Now, people have been depending on North Railway Station as not much trains have halts at Tripunithura. Though the authorities are aware of the inconvenience caused owing to this, they are not willing to take any action in this regard. Though ticket revenue of the station is much higher than that of Karunagapally and Mavelikara stations, almost all express trains have halts there. Despite this, the authorities are reluctant to allow halts for a few more trains here,” said V P Prasad, chairman, Tripunithura Rajanagari Union of Residents Association (TRURA). Prasad alleged that the Railways are negligent about the developments of the station. “Though authorities have promised to upgrade the station to the status of an ‘adharsh’, no concrete steps have been taken in this regard,” he added. “The total seating capacity of the station must be increased to 160 from the current 60. Moreover, special facilities for physically challenged, toilets at all platforms, roof over platforms and drinking water supply must be ensured. It seems like the authorities are least interested in implementing the development works,” said TRURA secretary V C Jayendran. Though authorities have claimed that a tarred road to the station will be ready before the monsoon, there is no progress in this regard too, Jayendran said. “The issues include lack of lighting arrangements and inadequate staff at ticket counters. Now, the station master has to issue tickets and regulate the movement of all trains simultaneously. Also, the station has no waiting room as it is always locked,” they added. Meanwhile, Railway Area Manager P L Ashok Kumar said the development work of the station will be conducted soon. “As of now, we are not conducting any development works. The railway station will be upgraded to an adharsh station soon and discussions are on in this regard,” he said.
