South Central Railway has communicated this Railway that they have augmented Train Nos. 57130 HYDERABAD-BIJAPUR PASSENGER & Train No.57129 BIJAPUR-BOLARUM PASSENGERwith TWOadditionalSECOND CALSS SLEEPER COACHES temporarily for clearance of URS extra rushas per the dates mentioned against each train.

Train N0.157130 HYDERABAD-BIJAPUR PASSENGER runs with TWOadditional Second Class Sleeper coaches temporarily from HYDERABAD endfrom 14th to 16th July, 2013 and Train No. 57129 BIJAPUR-BOLARUM PASSENGER runs TWOadditional Second Class Sleeper coaches temporarily from BIJAPUR end from 16thto 18th July, 2013.

NEW DELHI : Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh has stated that Jiribam-Tupul-Imphal railway line which is being taken up as a national project would not only bring about stability in the transportation network of Manipur and mitigate the  hardship of traveling but also reduce the cost of the transportation of goods. He urged the Railways authority to deploy more manpower and equipment and take early steps to ensure its completion by 2017.
He was addressing the 62nd Plenary session of the North Eastern Council (NEC) held at the Vigyan Bhawan, Maulana Azad Road here today with Union Minister of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Paban Singh Ghatowar in the chair.The Chief Minister reported that the overall physical progress of the construction of the railway line was 42% and target date for completion had also been extended from 2016 to 2017. 
There was budgetary provision of only Rs 450 crores during 2013-14 against requirement of Rs 1200 crores.  Tender for the Tupul-Imphal Sector of the railway line had  not been floated although the state government was ready with the land acquisition process.  He drew the attention of the NEC and the Ministry of DoNER to press the Ministry of Finance for enhancing the budget for timely completion of the project.Drawing the attention of the Ministry of Road & Surface Transport (MORTH), O. Ibobi stated that the State Government had embarked on an ambitious programme of widening the important national and state roads in Manipur.  This required mobilization of capital for land and properties as well as quality construction work on expansion, he said.  However, the Annual Plan size of Rs.84.20 crores provided by the Ministry to the State Government for 2013-14 was comparatively lesser than other States.  He said, “MORTH may enhance our allocation so that our projects can be completed in time”. He also drew the attention of the Ministry to consider entrusting the stretch from Km 3.22 near Imphal upto 145 km near Barak  of NH-53 now the new NH-37 to the State PWD which had adequate manpower, to reduce the load of the Border Road Organisation.Referring to the upgradation of the Imphal Airport into an international standard, the Chief Minister pointed out that the State Government had acquired 490 acres of paddy land and handed over to Airport Authority India for expansion and upgradation of Imphal Airport .  He requested the Ministry of Civil Aviation to expedite up-gradation of Imphal Airport and facilitate its functioning as an international airport as soon as possible.He also stated that Loktak Lake and Barak River in Manipur had huge potential as waterways and requested the Inland Waterway Authority of India (IWAI) to assist the State Government in preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR)s for introduction of inland water transport in Manipur.  This would help the State for transporting goods including PDS items effectively and in time to people in remote areas of Tamenglong and Churachandpur.The Manipur Chief Minister thanked the NEC for agreeing to support setting up of Mary Kom’s Boxing Academy and also for sponsoring the 1st North East India Expedition to Mount Everest, during which 11 climbers from the North East States namely Arunachal Pradesh , Assam , Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Sikkim scaled the Mount Everest and created records.  He emphasized on the need for keeping the momentum going and supporting the establishment of Regional Sports Institutes.The Chief Minister pointed out that the 400 KV D/C Pallatana-Silchar- Bongaigaon trunk transmission system implemented by North East Transmission Company (NETC), a JV Company of Power Grid, OTPC , IL & FS and beneficiary NE States had been completed upto Byrnihat.  He urged the Ministry of Power and Power Grid to give priority to completion of the project upto Bongaigaon trunk transmission system and the Silchar-Imphal 400 KV D/C line that was needed to evacuate power to Imphal from Palattana and Bongaigaon projects.Referring to the projects under North East Region Community Resources Management (NERCORM-III) to be implemented in Chandel and Churachandpur districts of Manipur, and Tirap and Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh which were recently approved by the Ministry of DoNER; the Chief Minister said, “This is a welcome move and I am sure this will go a long way in enhancing ecology and livelihood of people residing in interior parts of hill districts”.The Chief Minister also mentioned that the tentative allocation of Rs. 44.52 crores of NEC fund for Manipur for the year 2013-14 was not sufficient to meet the requirements. The State needed an amount of Rs 394.33 crores just to complete  the ongoing projects during the current and next year. Besides, there were several projects where the budget was exhausted and the work had come to standstill for want of funds. He demanded sufficient funds for completion of ongoing projects and taking up the priority projects. In the NEC Plenary session, Manipur Chief Minister was accompanied by the Chief Secretary D.S. Poonia, Additional Chief Secretary (Planning) R.R.Rashmi, Commissioner (Power) Rajesh Agrawal, Director of Planning Dr. Th. Munindro Singh, Joint Director of Planning N. Kulkarani Devi and Additional Chief Engineer of PWD Ch.Tiken Singh.Yesterday, Manipur Chief Minister O. Ibobi Singh met  the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, Finance Minister P. Chidambaram, Railway Minister Mallikarjun Kharge and Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia.

For the convenience of rail passengers, Northern Railway has decided to provide additional stoppage to train no. 04009/0410 Delhi Sarai Rohilla- Bhatinda- Delhi Sarai Rohilla special at Tohana with immediate effect in both the directions. The other features like route, timings, composition, stoppages etc. will remain as unchanged.

बिलासपुर। उत्कल एक्सप्रेस के पार्सलयान का दरवाजा इस कदर जाम हुआ कि लाख कोशिशों के बाद भी उसे बंद नहीं किया जा सका। आखिरकार पार्सल अनलोड करके ट्रेन को आगे बढ़ाया गया। इसके कारण ट्रेन बिलासपुर में 35 मिनट खड़ी रही। पुरी से हरिद्वार जाने वाली उत्कल एक्सप्रेस दोपहर 3:20 बजे बिलासपुर पहुंची थी। गौरतलब है कि पिछले हफ्ते इसी तरह की समस्या राजधानी एक्सप्रेस के पार्सलयान में भी आई थी। राजधानी एक्सप्रेस भी 30 मिनट लेट होकर खाली पार्सलयान के साथ रवाना हुई थी।

As announced in the Railway Budget 2013-14, RailwayS will introduce the train No. 15622/15621 Anand Vihar T.- Kamakhya- Anand Vihar T. (Weekly) express as per the following programme:

          The 15622 Anand Vihar T.- Kamakhya (Weekly) Express train will depart from Anand Vihar T. o­n every Friday from 19.07.2013 at 11.45 p.m. to reach Kamakhya at 02.45 p.m. the third day. In the return direction, the 15621 Kamakhya- Anand Vihar T. (Weekly) Express train will depart from Kamakhya o­n every Thursday from 25.07.2013 at 06.10 a.m. to reach Anand Vihar T. at 05.40 p.m. the next day.

          Comprising of o­ne A.C. 3 Tier, Five Sleeper Class, Six General Class and Two Disabled Friendly Second Class cum Luggage Van coaches, the 15622/15621 Anand Vihar T.- Kamakhya- Anand Vihar T. (Weekly) Express train will stop at Ghaziabad, Hapur, Moradabad, Chandausi, Sitapur Cantt., Gonda, Mankapur, Basti, Gorakhpur, Siwan, Chhapra, Hajipur, Barauni, Khagaria, Naugachia, Katihar, Kishanganj, New Jalpaiguri, Binnaguri, Alipurdwar, Kokrajhar, New Bongaigaon and Goalpara Town stations enroute in both the directions.

Inaugural run of 15621 Kamakhya- Anand Vihar T. (Weekly) Express train will be o­n 18.07.2013 from Kamakhya station.

The construction of the Railway overbridge (ROB) at Nettoor will be  delayed owing to non-availability of funds, said Ernakulam Railway Area Manager P L Ashok Kumar.According to him, the plan was to start the construction of the ROB using the funds allotted by Union Minister K V Thomas. “However, we have not received any funds from him yet and the ROB work will be delayed,” Ashok said. He added that the minister had promised a total of Rs 3 crore for the project.“Now, we have learnt that he is unable to allot the fund due to some technical reason. We are awaiting a final decision from the minister in this regard,” he said.Ashok Kumar said they could have started the project by now if there wasn’t any fund crunch. “We cannot find the budget for the project as it was not proposed by the Railways. The ROB was the demand of the residents and hence we should get fund from MLA’s or MP’s in the area,” he added.He said the Railways have not conducted any procedures related to the ROB. “We have sent a rough plan to the higher authorities in Chennai. Otherwise, there is no major development,” he said.Meanwhile, the residents here are on the warpath against the delay in constructing the railway overbridge. According to them, the ROB will alleviate the traffic problems faced by more than 2,000 residents in Nettoor.“We have brought the issue before the municipal authorities, politicians and ministers, but to no avail. Some politicians are using the issue to gain  political mileage and are not concerned about the people. We will initiate  protests against the inaction of the authorities,” said ROB Samara Samithi members. They said the closure of a railway gate at Nettoor railway station has caused traffic congestion in the area.

“Earlier, there were two railway gates near the Nettoor Railway Station. Later, the Railway gate at the western side of the station was shut down. It was then that we have started protest for the railway over-bridge,” they said.

Meanwhile, the Maradu Municipal authorities said that all issues will be sorted out soon and the project will be started within two months.
