Guna: The heavy rain in Madhya pradesh is wreaking havoc on denizens and in same the railway track between Mungwali and Ruthiyai has got drowned in Guna district.

 

According to information the soil erosion below this 400-500 meter track has effected the railway traffic in area. After this the route of many trains has been diverted to Beena. Meanwhile the board has also started repairing work of track.

Sirsa MP Ashok Tanwar’s wife Avantika Maken Tanwar today flagged off the Sirsa-Hisar-Ludhiana train from Sirsa railway station. The Railways had announced to regularise the train from today. Running between Hisar and Ludhiana earlier, the train was extended up to Sirsa for a trial run two months ago. Avantika said during his meeting with Railway Minister Mallikarjun Khadge in Delhi, Ashok Tanwar had demanded that this train be run regularly and Khadge had accepted the demand.Bhupesh Mehta, Sirsa urban unit president of the Congress, was also present on the occasion. Avantika offered sweets to the driver, guard and other staff members of the train.The train will halt on both ways at Jakhod Kheda, Mandi Adampur, Bhathu, Ding, Suchan Kotli and Bajekan stations. The special train would have seven compartments, including six of general category and one for the guards.Various social, religious and political organisations of Sirsa have expressed their gratitude for running the train on a regular basis.

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said the state government would give 50 per cent of Rs 2,515 crore for the implementation of three railway line projects.During a rail road rally here, Hooda announced to provide the amount for the three railway line projects -- 104 km long Delhi-Sohna-Nuh-FerozpurJhirka-Alwar,Hisar-Agroha-Fatehabad-Sirsa (93 kms) and Yamunanagar-Sadhora-Naraingarh-Chandigarh (91 kms).Hooda was responding to the suggestion made by Railway Minister Mallikarjun Kharge, at the same venue, that Railway Ministry would take up the three important rail lines on priority basis provided the state government bears half of the expenditure.The rally was organised for the foundation stone laying ceremony of Hansi-Meham-Rohtak rail line and four laning of Hisar-Hansi-Meham-Rohtak section of National Highway 10.The Railway Minister appreciated the state government's initiative of contributing 50 per cent share in the railway projects of the state.

Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Oscar Fernandes, who also addressed the rally, announced to sanction Railway over Bridge at Dabwali which would cost more than Rs 37 crore.

Meanwhile, Hooda announced to give Rs 10 crore each to all seven assembly segments of Hisar for development works. He also announced the construction of a stadium at Hansi.

Lashing out at opposition INLD, Hooda claimed that not a single inch of rail line was laid in the INLD-BJP regime.

Hooda said INLD-BJP government had spent only Rs 602.72 crore in Hisar whereas the present Congress government has already spent Rs 3165.62 crore in the area.

He also took a dig at the BJP saying that one its leader says that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi should lead BJP while the others have a different opinion.

ब्रिटिशांच्या काळापासून रूळांवरून रूबाबदारपणे धावणारी शकुंतला रेल्वे आता विजनवासात गेली आहे. अतिवृष्टीचे कारण देत मध्य रेल्वेच्या भुसावळ मंडळाने यवतमाळ-मूर्तिजापूर मार्गावरील ही रेल्वेसेवा बंद केली आहे. मात्र हा रेल्वे मार्ग पूर्णपणे सुस्थितीत आहे. या मार्गाची देखरेख दारव्हा येथील इंजिनीअर व त्यांचे सहकारी करतात. त्यांच्याकडून हा मार्ग वाहतुकीसाठी अयोग्य असल्याचा कोणताही अहवाल भुसावळ मंडळाला पाठविलेला नाही. मात्र रेल्वे अधिकाऱ्यांनी मार्ग अयोग्य असल्याचे नमूद करीतच सेवा बंद केली आहे.

पूर्वी पावसामुळे अडाण नदीला पूर येत होता. त्यावेळी यवतमाळ-अकोला प्रवास करण्यासाठी शकुंतला नॅरोगेज रेल्वेच प्रवाशांसाठी आधार होती. त्यामुळे शकुंतलेच्या प्रवासी संख्येत सतत वाढच होत होती. अचानक रेल्वेने ही सेवा बंद केल्याने या मार्गावर प्रवास करणाऱ्या सामान्यांची गैरसोय होणार आहे.

शकुंतला रेल्वेचा मार्ग ब्रॉडगेज व्हावा , यासाठी अमरावतीचे खासदार आनंदराव अडसूळ , खासदार भावना गवळी प्रयत्नरत होते. खासदारांचे स्वीय सहाय्यक सुनील भालेराव हे भुसावळ मंडळाचे रेल्वे सदस्य आहेत. मात्र या सर्वांना अंधारात ठेवत भुसावळ ‌मंडळाने ही सेवा बंद केली आहे.

MUMBAI: The authorities have resumed passing the buck on providing security to female commuters after the Saturday morning attack on a young nurse on a local.

The Government Railway Police (GRP), which has a strength of about 3,500 men, provides 388 constables for night escort on trains. But this is a severely low figure compared to the number of rakes on Western and Central railways.

The GRP complains the railways does not take enough interest in women's security. GRP commissioner Prabhat Kumar said that given the dearth of manpower in his force, hiring guards from private security agencies should be an option.

"We have written numerous letters to the railways, with detailed computation of our requirement of 1,840 additional policemen for women's security. If that comes through, we can secure women's compartments day and night," maintained Kumar. "We want the railways to take active interest in securing women commuters."

"The Railway Protection Force, which currently escorts outstation trains, can work alongside our men to escort locals too," said another senior GRP officer.

The dire lack of coordination between the railways and the GRP is evidenced by the fact that the latter's personnel below the rank of senior inspector do not even possess duty-pass for operating on railway premises. "This means that by chasing a criminal across railway lines our constables are committing an illegal activity," pointed out another officer.

Till May this year, there were 18 instances of molestation on the city railway network and two cases of rape. Apart from them, there was the horrific acid attack on Delhi resident Preeti Rathi at Bandra Terminus. Activist Sameer Zaveri said the GRP does need more manpower to curb crime and "there is no reason why the state government should not provide it with enough men".
