EXTENSION OF TEMPORARY AUGMENTATION OF TRAINS

                                                                 

            ‍For the convenience ofthe rail passengers and to increase the passenger carrying capacity of trains, Railway has decided to extend the augmentation of the 18201/18202 Durg- Nautanwa Express, 18205/18206 Durg- NautanwaExpress , 18237/18238 Chattisgarh Express, 12823/12824 Chhattisgarh Sampark Kranti Express and 12549/12550 Durg-Jammu Tawi Super Fast Express o­n temporary basis as per the under-mentionedprogramme:-




·18201/02 Durg-Nautanwa Express train has been augmented by o­ne additional A.C. 3 Tier Coach upto 30.10.2013 when departing from Durg and upto 01.11.2013 when departing from Nautanwa. The other features like timings, route, stoppages etc. will remain as unchanged.

·18205/06 Durg- Nautanwa Express train has been augmented by o­ne additional A.C.2 Tier Coach upto 31.10.2013 when departing from Durg and up to 01.11.2013 when departing from Nautanwa The other features like timings, route, stoppages etc. will remain as unchanged.

·18237/38 Bilaspur-Amritsar Chattisgarh Express train has been augmented by o­ne additional A.C. 3 Tier Coach  up to 31.10.2013 when departing from BSP and up to 02.11.2013 when departing from ASR. The other features like timings, route, stoppages etc. will remain as unchanged.

·12823/24 Durg-Nizamuddin Chhattisgarh Sampark Kranti Express train has been augmented by o­ne additional A.C. 2 Tier Coach  up to 31.10.2013 when departing from Durg and up to 01.11.2013 when departing from Nizamuddin. The other features like timings, route, stoppages etc. will remain as unchanged.

Thousands of passengers were left stranded on Monday as a technical fault hit Delhi Metro's Blue line between Dwarka and Noida City Centre and Vaishali stations, resulting in overcrowding at stations and train delays.

Large crowds piled up at platforms all along the busy route that links Dwarka in west Delhi with Noida and Vaishali, in Uttar Pradesh.

"Metro services of Line 3 (Dwarka-Noida City Centre) and Line 4 (from Yamuna Bank to Vaishali) are running slowly, following a technical problem in the overhead electrification, which transmits energy to trains, on the Dwarka stretch at Shadipur and Patel Nagar," said a Delhi Metro official.The crowds were menacingly thick at Rajiv Chowk, the busiest Delhi Metro interchange station through which the Blue Line passes. Trains also stopped for 5-10 minutes on the route on several occasions, said Devansh, a student travelling from Rajiv Chowk to Noida.

"It took me one hour from 1.30 p.m. to reach Noida Sector 16, a distance which normally takes just 30 minutes," he said.

Normally, a train plies every three minutes between Dwarka and Yamuna Bank. From there every alternate train goes to Vaishali and Noida City Centre.

A Metro official said regular announcements were made at all the stations and in trains about the delay due to the technical problem.

The 49-km Blue line that covers 43 stations in some of the most populous parts of the capital, is the longest Delhi Metro route.

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said the state government would give 50 per cent of Rs 2,515 crore for the implementation of three railway line projects.During a rail road rally here, Hooda announced to provide the amount for the three railway line projects -- 104 km long Delhi-Sohna-Nuh-FerozpurJhirka-Alwar,Hisar-Agroha-Fatehabad-Sirsa (93 kms) and Yamunanagar-Sadhora-Naraingarh-Chandigarh (91 kms).Hooda was responding to the suggestion made by Railway Minister Mallikarjun Kharge, at the same venue, that Railway Ministry would take up the three important rail lines on priority basis provided the state government bears half of the expenditure.The rally was organised for the foundation stone laying ceremony of Hansi-Meham-Rohtak rail line and four laning of Hisar-Hansi-Meham-Rohtak section of National Highway 10.The Railway Minister appreciated the state government's initiative of contributing 50 per cent share in the railway projects of the state.

Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Oscar Fernandes, who also addressed the rally, announced to sanction Railway over Bridge at Dabwali which would cost more than Rs 37 crore.

Meanwhile, Hooda announced to give Rs 10 crore each to all seven assembly segments of Hisar for development works. He also announced the construction of a stadium at Hansi.

Lashing out at opposition INLD, Hooda claimed that not a single inch of rail line was laid in the INLD-BJP regime.

Hooda said INLD-BJP government had spent only Rs 602.72 crore in Hisar whereas the present Congress government has already spent Rs 3165.62 crore in the area.

He also took a dig at the BJP saying that one its leader says that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi should lead BJP while the others have a different opinion.

L&T Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd, now executing one of the largest public-private-partnership (PPP) projects in the country, is passing through a busy phase as it seeks to accelerate pace of project implementation and mammoth construction work.The Rs 16,500-crore elevated metro rail project, spanning 72 km across three dense corridors of the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, is saddled with challenges of securing ‘right-of-way’ along some of the busy commercial establishments.These bottlenecks are not so much for the developer since the ball is in the Government’s court and it needs to address these issues as a partner in the project.The Andhra Pradesh Government has earmarked about Rs 2,000 crore for spending related to land acquisition (for 269 acres) and other facilitation works. While most of the acquisition of major chunks of land at terminal points has been completed, the acquisition of properties along some of the busy commercial roads is still a matter of concern.

RESISTANCE

In the busy corridor that heads towards the IT hub of Hyderabad, land acquisition in the Ameerpet stretch and in the corridor passing through the Old City that touches the busy market junction of Sultan Bazar, have been troublesome. The local traders are against the project. To add to these issues, there are a few religious structures, including an Iskcon temple, which need to be acquired.

Members of the Secunderabad unit of International Society for Krishna Consciousness (Iskcon) have decided to launch a protest movement against the proposal to acquire 1,600 square yards of the temple land.

With metro barricades being erected at more busy junctions for construction of piers, restricting pathways, the traffic movement, too, has been adversely affected. The monsoon has further added to the commuters’ woes.

However, no escape route from these problems is likely to emerge for the next two years.

HIGHER COMPENSATION

Farmers in the Uppal region of the metro project have been calling for higher compensation.

Commercial establishments are opposing the project passing through busy areas as they feel they will be put out of business. Will the State Government come around to higher compensation? Only time will tell.

During a recent interaction, V.B. Gadgil, Chief Executive and Managing Director of L&T Hyderabad Metro Rail, said, “As a construction partner our role is to execute the work with minimum inconvenience to the public. The land acquisition and right of way have to be handled by the Government.”

N.V.S. Reddy, Managing Director of Hyderabad metro rail, has also expressed confidence that the acquisition-related issues will be tackled by taking people into confidence and giving them adequate compensation.

Most of the right-of-way issues have been cleared and needs to be addressed only in some busy areas.

But till the phase one of the Hyderabad metro rail, spanning a stretch of 8 km, gets operational by early 2015, people will have to wait for that elevated experience. The entire project is expected to be completed by early 2017.

मुजफ्फरपुर-नरकटियागंज रेलखंड के बापूधाम मोतिहारी से होकर गुजरने वाली सभी रेल गाड़ियों पर रविवार को छात्रों का कब्जा रहा। यात्री भेड़-बकरियों की तरह ठूंस कर यात्रा करने को विवश हुए। कई यात्री तो चलती ट्रेन से ही स्टेशन पर गिर पड़े, जिससे वे चोटिल हो गये। जानकारी के मुताबिक रविवार को शहर के सभी कालेज व विद्यालयों में पोलिटेक्निक प्रवेश हेतु परीक्षा आयोजित थी। जिसको लेकर शनिवार को ही दूसरे जिलों के हजारों छात्र मोतिहारी पहुंच चुके थे। शहर के होटलों में जगह नहीं मिलने के कारण वे बापूधाम मोतिहारी स्टेशन के फर्श पर ही सोने को विवश हुए। बावजूद इसके रेल प्रशासन कोई ठोस व्यवस्था नहीं कर सकी थी। आज दोपहर परीक्षा समाप्त होने के बाद ट्रेन पकड़ने के लिए छात्रों का हुजूम बापूधाम मोतिहारी पहुंच गया। स्टेशन पर जो भी ट्रेन आती छात्र उसके इंजन और छत पर सवार हो जाते। हालांकि आरपीएफ इंसपेक्टर और उनके जवानों ने खतरा को भांपते हुए इंजन पर सवार सभी छात्रों को नीचे उतारा। परंतु बोगी में जगह नहीं मिलने के कारण छात्र जान जोखिम में डाल ट्रेन की छत पर यात्रा को विवश हुए। स्टेशन पर अतिरिक्त बल नहीं होने के कारण आरपीएफ और जीआरपी को छात्रों को संभालने में काफी मशक्कत करनी पड़ी।

समस्तीपुर-सहरसा रेलखंड के सलौना स्टेशन से जुड़े यात्रियों को दोहरी खुशी की सौगात मिली है। उद्घाटन के बाद से बंद पीआरएस आरक्षण काउंटर को विभाग ने गुरुवार से चालू कर दिया है। वहीं वजट में इस रेलखंड को मिली एक जोड़ी सवारी गाड़ी का परिचालन भी शुक्रवार से आरंभ कर दिया गया है। जानकारी देते हुए स्टेशन अधीक्षक अरुणा ने बताया कि उक्त 55534 नम्बर की डाउन ट्रेन समस्तीपुर से रात्रि के करीब 20.30 पर खुलेगी जो 22.23 में सलौना से गुजरेगी। वहीं 55533 अप सवारी गाड़ी मधेपुरा से 6.05 सुबह में खुलेगी जो 12 बजे से करीब समस्तीपुर पहुंचेगी। स्टेशन अधीक्षक ने बताया की गुरुवार से आरंभ किये गये आरक्षण काउंटर से अब तक एक भी टिकट नहीं कटा है। उन्होंने कहा कि जानकारी के अभाव में लोग नहीं आ रहे हैं। जानकारी होने पर यहां आरक्षण के लिए भी भीड़ जुटेगी।

लखनऊ। छपरा से कानपुर अनवरगंज तक चलने वाली उत्सर्ग एक्सप्रेस दो अगस्त से फर्रुखाबाद तक जाएगी। इस ट्रेन के विस्तार से फर्रुखाबाद जाने वाले यात्रियों को राहत मिलेगी। ट्रेन के विस्तार के आदेश रविवार को जारी कर दिए गए। पूर्वोत्तर रेलवे के जनसंपर्क अधिकारी आलोक श्रीवास्तव ने बताया कि 18191 उत्सर्ग एक्सप्रेस छपरा से शाम 7:05 बजे छूटकर सुबह 7:20 बजे लखनऊ जंक्शन होते हुए दोपहर 12:20 बजे फर्रुखाबाद पहुंचेगी। इसी तरह 18192 उत्सर्ग एक्सप्रेस फर्रुखाबाद से दोपहर 1:35 बजे छूटकर शाम 4:40 बजे कानपुर, 6:25 बजे लखनऊ और अगले दिन सुबह 8:35 बजे छपरा पहुंचेगी।
