For the convenience of passengers during Ganesh Festival, WR will run Special train services between Bandra(T) - Madgaon (Goa) and Ahmedabad - Madgaon (Goa) via Vasai Rd.



Bandra(T) – Madgaon Special Train

          Train No.09009 Bandra(T)– Madgaon Special Train will leave Bandra(T) at 00.15 hrs o­n every Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday from 2nd September to 21st September , 2013. It will reach Madgaon at 16.30 hrs, o­n same day.

          Similarly, in return direction train No.09010 Madgaon – Bandra(T) Special Train will leave Madgaon at 20.00 hrs o­n every Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday from 2nd September to 21stSeptember, 2013. It will arrive at Bandra(T) at 13.20 hrs, the next day.

          The train will halt at Andheri, Borivali, Vasai Road, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Savarda, Sangameshwar, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Zarap, Sawantwadi, Madure, Pernem, Thivim and Karmali stations in both directions.

          The train will have AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, Sleeper class and II class general coaches.



Ahmedabad – Madgaon Special Train (via Vasai Road)



Train No.09416 Ahmedabad–Madgaon Special Train will leave Ahmedabad at 16.55 hrs o­n every Monday, Wednesday & Saturday from 2nd September to 21st September, 2013. It will arrive at Vasai Rdat 00.40 hrs next day and reach Madgaon at 16.30 hrs.

          Similarly, in return direction train No.09415 Madgaon – Ahmedabad Special Train will leave Madgaon at 20.00 hrs o­n every Tuesday, Thursday & Sunday from 3rd September to 22nd September, 2013.It will arrive at Vasai Rd at 10.40 hrs next day and reach Ahmedabad at 19.20 hrs.



The train will halt at Nadiad, Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Navsari,Valsad, Vapi, Dahanu Road, Boisar, Vasai Road, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Savarda, Sangameshwar, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Zarap, Sawantwadi, Madure, Pernem, Thivim and Karmali stations in both directions.



        The train will have AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, Sleeper class and II class general coaches.

          The booking for 09009 & 09416 will open at all Passenger Reservation Centers o­n 2nd August, 2013.

MUMBAI: Western Railway will run special train services between Bandra Terminus - Madgaon (Goa) and Ahmedabad - Madgaon (Goa) via Vasai Rd to clear the extra rush of passengers during the Ganesh festival.

WR spokersperson said, "Train No. Bandra(T)- Madgaon Special train will leave Bandra terminu at 12.15 am on every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from September 2 to September 21, 2013. It will reach Madgaon at 4.30 pm on same day."

Similarly, in return direction train No.09010 Madgaon - Bandra(T) Special Train will leave Madgaon at 8 pm on every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from September 2 to September 21, 2013. It will arrive at Bandra terminus at 1.20 pm, the next day.

MANGALORE: The extended service of train 12081 Kannur - Thiruvanathapuram Jan Shatabdi express will be flagged off by K Sudhakaran, Member of Parliament at Kannur Railway station on August 2 at 4.45pm.

AP Abdulla Kutty, MLA, Roshni Khalid, Chairperson, Kannur Municipality and K A Sarala, District Panchayat President will be present at the function. Train 12082 Thiruvananthapuram-Kozhikode Jan Shatabdi Express leaving Thiruvananthapuram on August 2 will come up to Kannur. These trains will have 3 AC Chair Car, 13 Second Class Chair Car and 2 Luggage-cum-Brake Van coaches.

On the same day at 10am, MP Sudhakaran will inaugurate the cleanliness drive, tree plantation, garden development and spreading of awareness on safety measures at Kannur Station.

SCR to Run Six Special Trains between Lingampalli and Kakinada Town and One Special Train between Kazipet and H S Nanded

In order to clear extra rush of passengers, South Central Railway will run Six Special Trains between Lingampalli and Kakinada Town and o­ne Special Train between Kazipet and H S Nanded as per the following schedule:-

1)Lingampalli-Kakinada Town-Lingampalli Special Trains (6 services):-
Train No. 07101 Lingampalli-Kakinada Town Special Train will depart Lingampalli at 20 40 hrs, Secunderabad at 21 40 hrs, Malkajgiri at 21 52 hrs o­n 8th, 14th and 18th August, 2013 and arrive Kakinada Town at 08 00 hrs o­n the next day.
In the return direction, Train No.07102 Kakinada Town-Lingampalli Special Train will depart Kakinada Town at 22 45 hrs o­n 8th, 14th and 18thAugust, 2013 and arrive Malkajgiri at 09 51 hrs, Secunderabad at 10 10 hrs, Lingampalli at 11 05 hrs o­n the next day.
Enroute, these special trains will also stop at Begumpet, Secunderabad, Malkajgiri, Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Nadikudi, Guntur, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry and Samalkot stations in both the directions.
The train will comprise of o­ne AC II Tier, o­ne AC III Tier, eight Sleeper Class, four general Second Class and two Second Class Luggage Cum Brake Van Coaches totaling to sixteen coaches

2)Kazipet-H S Nanded Special Train (1 service):-
Train No. 07151 Kazipet-Nanded Special Train will depart Kazipet at 20 30 hrs,  on 2nd August arrive/depart Secunderabad at 23 10 / 23 30 hrs  on 2ndAugust, 2013 (Friday)and arrive  H S Nanded at 04 00 hrs o­n the next day.
Enroute, this special train will stop at Jangaon, Secunderabad, Malkajgiri, Kamareddi, Nizamabad, Basar and Mudkhed stations.
The train will comprise of five Sleeper Class, o­ne Second Class Chair Car, two General Second Class, two Second Class Luggage Cum Brake Van Coaches totaling to ten coaches.

MANGALORE: In order to cater to the extra rush of passengers during the ensuing Ganpati Festival, Konkan Railway, in co-ordination with Western Railway has introduced special trains between Ahmedabad-Madgaon.

Train 09416 Ahmedabad Madgoan will operate every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from September 2 to 21. It will start from Ahmedabad 4.55 pm and reach Madgoan 4.30pm the next day.

Train 09415 Madgoan Ahmedabad will operate on every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from September 3 to 22. It will start from Madgaon at 8 pm and reach Ahmeddabad at 7.20 pm the next day. The trains will halt at Nadiad, Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Vapi, Dhanu Road, Boisar,Vasai Road, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Savarda, Sangmeshwar, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road,Kankavali, Sindhudurg,kudal, Zarap, Sawantwadi Road, Madure, Pernem, Thivim, Karmali, Madgaon. The train will have 17 coaches.

Apart from this Konkan Railway, in coordiantion with Central Railway will also be running the following Special trains for Ganpati Festival. They are: Mumbai CST-Madgaon- Mumbai CST(Train No. 01033/01034), Six days a week; Lokmanya Tilak (T) -Madgaon- Lokmanya Tilak (T) (Train No. 01045/01046), Weekly; Lokmanya Tilak -Pernem- Lokmanya Tilak (Train no. 01039/01040), Bi-weekly; Lokmanya Tilak -Pernem- Lokmanya Tilak (Train no.01043/01044), Weekly; Mumbai CST -Pernem - Mumbai CST( Train no. 01041/01042), Bi-weekly; Dadar-Sawantwadi-Dadar (Train no. 01003/01004), Tri-weekly and Lokmanya Tilak -Ratnagiri- Lokmanya Tilak (Train no. 01037/01038), Daily.

HANSI: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said the state government would give 50 per cent of Rs 2,515 crore for the implementation of three railway line projects.During a rail road rally here, Hooda announced to provide the amount for the three railway line projects -- 104 km long Delhi-Sohna-Nuh-FerozpurJhirka-Alwar, Hisar-Agroha-Fatehabad-Sirsa (93 kms) and Yamunanagar-Sadhora-Naraingarh-Chandigarh (91 kms).Hooda was responding to the suggestion made by Railway Minister Mallikarjun Kharge, at the same venue, that Railway Ministry would take up the three important rail lines on priority basis provided the state government bears half of the expenditure.The rally was organised for the foundation stone laying ceremony of Hansi-Meham-Rohtak rail line and four laning of Hisar-Hansi-Meham-Rohtak section of National Highway 10.The Railway Minister appreciated the state government's initiative of contributing 50 per cent share in the railway projects of the state.Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Oscar Fernandes, who also addressed the rally, announced to sanction Railway over Bridge at Dabwali which would cost more than Rs 37 crore.Meanwhile, Hooda announced to give Rs 10 crore each to all seven assembly segments of Hisar for development works. He also announced the construction of a stadium at Hansi.

Lashing out at opposition INLD, Hooda claimed that not a single inch of rail line was laid in the INLD-BJP regime.

Hooda said INLD-BJP government had spent only Rs 602.72 crore in Hisar whereas the present Congress government has already spent Rs 3165.62 crore in the area.

He also took a dig at the BJP saying that one its leader says that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi should lead BJP while the others have a different opinion.
