Railways will run special trains between Chennai Central and Mangalore Junction from September 14 to clear the rush of passengers during Onam.A press release issued by Palakkad Railway Division said reservation for these trains started on Sunday.Train No.06003 Chennai Central – Mangalore Junction Special will leave Chennai at 9 p.m. on September 14 and September 21 and arrive at Mangalore at 12.45 p.m. the following day.Train No.06004 Mangalore Junction – Chennai Central will leave Mangalore at 2.45 p.m. on September 15 and 22 and reach Chennai at 7.45 a.m.

28 बेकसूरों द्वारा जान गंवाने के बाद रेल मंत्रालय धमारा स्टेशन पर मेहरबान हुआ है। रेल मंत्रालय ने स्टेशन पर फुटओवर ब्रिज, प्लेटफॉर्म अन्य निर्माण कार्यो की स्वीकृति दी है। इस पर 2.41 करोड़ रुपये खर्च होंगे।
गौरतलब है कि इसी स्टेशन पर विगत 19 अगस्त को सावन के अंतिम सोमवार को काफी संख्या में श्रद्धालु राज्यरानी एक्सप्रेस की चपेट में आ गए थे। दुर्घटना में मारे गए अधिकांश लोग प्रसिद्ध मां कात्यायनी मंदिर में पूजा करने गए थे। घटना से आक्रोशित लोगों ने राज्यरानी समेत दो ट्रेनों में आग लगा दी थी। स्टेशन पर भी भारी तोड़फोड़ की थी। इसमें रेलवे को करोड़ों रुपयों का नुकसान हुआ था। यहां फुटओवर ब्रिज समेत विभिन्न मांगों को लेकर पिछले कई दिनों से युवा शक्ति के प्रदेश अध्यक्ष नागेंद्र सिंह त्यागी के नेतृत्व में दर्जनों लोग अनशन पर बैठे हैं।
एसपी शिवकुमार झा ने बताया, रेल मंत्रालय व समस्तीपुर के अपर मंडल रेल प्रबंधक एसएन पतियाल ने रविवार को उन्हें पत्र भेजा है। इसमें 2.41 करोड़ की लागत से स्टेशन पर निर्माण कार्योँ को मंजूरी दी गई है।
रेलवे सूत्रों के अनुसार समस्तीपुर-सहरसा रेल खंड के धमारा स्टेशन पर प्लेटफॉर्म नंबर एक को 231 मीटर बढ़ाने, प्लेटफॉर्म नंबर तीन पर 415 मीटर लंबे नए प्लेटफॉर्म का निर्माण, प्लेटफॉर्म नंबर एक से तीन को जोड़ते हुए फुटओवर ब्रिज का निर्माण, लाइन नंबर एक व दो और दो व तीन पर टाई बार फेंसिंग, प्लेटफॉर्म पर समुचित प्रचार-प्रसार की व्यवस्था, 10 छोटे शेल्टर व बिजली की सुविधा हेतु सोलर सिस्टम लगाने की स्वीकृति दी गई है।
समस्तीपुर मंडल रेलवे के अधिकारी के अनुसार दुर्घटना में मारे गये 28 लोगों में से 25 के उत्तराधिकारियों को 15-15 हजार रुपये उसी दिन दिए गए थे। शेष 4.85 लाख रुपये उनके खातों में जमा किए जाएंगे। पांच लोगों के बैंक खातों में शेष राशि भेज दी गई है। बाकि मृतकों के परिजनों के भी खाता नंबर मिलने के तुरंत बाद शेष राशि भेज दी जाएगी। दुर्घटना में गंभीर रूप से जख्मी दो लोगों को पांच-पांच हजार रुपये नकद व 95 हजार रुपये उनके खाते में भेज दिए गए हैं।

देश के व्यस्त रेलवे स्टेशनों में शामिल जम्मू रेलवे स्टेशन पर लोगों को सुविधाएं उपलब्ध करवाने के लिए बैठक का आयोजन किया गया। बैठक में फिरोजपुर डिवीजन के सीनियर डिवीजनल कॉमर्शियल मैनेजर उपजीत सिंह के अलावा डिवीजनल ट्रैफिक मैनेजर, स्टेशन मास्टर जम्मू रेलवे स्टेशन अश्विनी कुमार, जेआरयूसीसी के सदस्य गंभीर सिंहचाढ़क के अलावा डीआरयूसीसी के सदस्य गुरनाम सिंह मौजूद थे।
गंभीर सिंह चाढ़क व गुरनाम सिंह ने स्टेशन पर और बेहतरी लाने के लिए अपने छह सूत्रीय प्रस्ताव बैठक में मौजूद अधिकारियों के समक्ष रखे। इसमें स्टेशन की सफाई के अलावा प्लेटफार्म की संख्या बढ़ाने, नए बुकिंग काउंटर खोलने, रेलवे स्टेशन में लगे स्टालों पर रेट लिस्ट सुनिश्चित करने के सुझाव शामिल थे।
इस मौके पर अधिकारियों ने उन्हें भरोसा दिलाया कि सोमवार को चेयरमैन नॉर्दर्न रेलवे स्टेशन के साथ होने वाली बैठक में यह सुझाव उनके समक्ष रखे जाएंगे और उन पर सोमवार को फैसला लिया जाएगा।

दानापुर रेल मंडल अंतर्गत किऊल-मोकामा रेलखंड के बड़हिया रेलवे स्टेशन पर टिकट बिक्री की राशि में फर्जीवाड़े का भंडाफोड़ हुआ है। गुप्त सूचना पर पूर्व मध्य रेल की निगरानी टीम ने 23 अगस्त को बड़हिया स्टेशन पर छापेमारी कर इस खेल का राज खोला है। छह सदस्यीय निगरानी टीम ने बड़हिया स्टेशन स्थित अनारक्षित टिकट काउंटर की जांच की। वे हकीकत देख हैरान रह गए। इसकी पुष्टि बुकिंग सुपरवाइजर वीरेन्द्र कुमार सिंह ने की है। जानकारी के अनुसार बड़हिया स्टेशन के बुकिंग क्लर्क ने बैंक की फर्जी मुहर बनवाकर करीब 16 लाख रुपये का चूना रेलवे को लगाया। निगरानी टीम ने जब इसकी पड़ताल की तो कर्मचारी ने अपनी संलिप्तता स्वीकार करते हुए बताया कि उसने सभी राशि निजी काम में खर्च कर दी है। बुकिंग क्लर्क जालसाजी कर टिकट बिक्री के रुपये को बैंक में जमा नहीं करता था। वह स्वयं फर्जी मुहर मारकर जमा पर्ची दानापुर मंडल मुख्यालय भेजता था। बुकिंग क्लर्क द्वारा फर्जीवाड़े की सूचना निगरानी विभाग को मिली। तत्काल टीम गठित कर छापेमारी की गई। टीम में आरपीएफ व वाणिज्य विभाग के अधिकारी थे। अधिकारियों ने जब गहनता से जांच की तो पाया कि बुकिंग क्लर्क फर्जी मुहर बनाकर बैंक की जमा पर्ची मुख्यालय को भेज रहा था। जांच टीम ने यह भी पाया कि अगस्त माह में 22 दिनों की टिकट बिक्री की 16 लाख रुपये क्लर्क ने बैंक में नहीं जमा कराये व फर्जी रसीद जमा कर दी। अगर मामला नहीं खुलता तो माह के अंत तक वह पूरी राशि गायब कर देता। जांच में यह भी तथ्य सामने आया कि रेलवे के वाणिज्य विभाग के पर्यवेक्षक निरीक्षण के दौरान बड़हिया स्टेशन की जांच कर रजिस्टर एवं रिपोर्ट पर हस्ताक्षर भी दर्ज करते थे। ऐसे में इतनी बड़ी राशि की हेराफेरी का नहीं पकड़ा जाना कई सवाल खड़ा करता है। निगरानी टीम ने बुकिंग सुपरवाइजर वीरेन्द्र कुमार सिंह एवं बुकिंग क्लर्क मनमोहन कुमार से भी गहन पूछताछ कर बुकिंग रजिस्टर व अन्य महत्वपूर्ण कागजात जब्त कर लिया।

Guwahati, Aug. 25:Defending champions NF Railway Sports Club(NFR SC) continued with their winning streak in the Abhishek Motors RG Baruah Trophy Guwahati Super Division football League defeating former champions Assam State Electricity Board (ASEB) SC by a solitary goal at Nehru Stadium here today.
A brilliant header by striker Jelendra Brahma in the 82nd minute ensured the defending champions their fifth consecutive victory.
With the kickoff, ASEB nearly broke the deadlock in third minute. However, the seasoned NFR custodian K. Bijen Singh managed a spectacular save. Sagaar Hang Limbu’s powerful strike from inside the box was well saved by Singh.
ASEB continued with their desperate attempts in the initial stages.
The second half failed to produce much of a difference except for the goal, which made the difference.
Jelendra’s fine cross from the left flank saw Chayaram Basumatary failing to head the ball inches away from the target in the 55th minute.
The same saga continued with both the sides missing out on a few opportunities. Chayaram, having received a short pass fromJelendra, attempted one goal, which went way wide of target inthe 61st minute. The powermen failed to build up attacks and were mostly struggling to keep possession. In the 81st minute, NF Railway player Sibra Narzary took the aerial route only to find the ball back in his feet after ASEB defenders could not clear the ball. Narzary’s fine cross was well set for Jelendra, who was on the prowl, to find the back of the net through a header in the 82nd minute. Navajyoti Club and SunriseAthletic Club shared a point each playing a 1-1 draw in Saturday's match. Ishak Sangma put Navajyoti ahead in the 32nd minute while Camara drew the parity in the 80th minute of the match.

Substitute Pranab Das netted two goals in the 48th and 80th minutes, including a penalty kick conversion for the latter, while Manoj Ahmed opened the account in the second minute of the match.
For SAI, Irakdau Khaklary scored both the goals in the 27th and 31st minutes respectively.

ग्वालियर. प्रदेश में हो रही भारी बारिश का असर ट्रेनों पर भी पडऩे लगा है। झांसी की ओर से आने वाली ट्रेनें रविवार को घंटों देरी से ग्वालियर आईं। छिंदवाड़ा से आने वाली पातालकोट एक्सप्रेस 17 घंटे से अधिक देरी से ग्वालियर आई। भारी बारिश के कारण क्षतिग्रस्त ट्रैक के कारण ट्रेनों को बदले रूट से निकाला जा रहा है, जिसके कारण ट्रेनें देरी से ग्वालियर आ रही हैं।
बारिश के कारण बैतूल के पास ट्रैकके नीचे से मिट्टी बह जाने से नागपुर की ओर से आने वाली ट्रेनें घंटों देरी से ग्वालियर आईं। तमिलनाडु एक्सप्रेस 5.25 घंटे, गोंडवाना 4.39 घंटे, जीटी पांच घंटे, दक्षिण 5.30 घंटे, केरला 8.37 घंटे, पातालकोट 17.20 घंटे, छत्तीसगढ़ 6.46 घंटे, समता 8.13, दादर अमृतसर 2.30 घंटे की देरी से आईं।
ट्रैक पर पानी, अटकी नैरोगेज :रेलवे ट्रैक पर पानी भर जाने के कारण ग्वालियर आने वाली और सबलगढ़ जाने वाली ट्रेनें अटक गईं। शनिवार की रात तिघरा डैम से पानी छोड़े जाने के बाद सांक नदी उफान पर आ गई और ट्रैक पानी में डूब गया। इससे ग्वालियर से सबलगढ़ जाने वाली ट्रेन को बानमोर रेलवे स्टेशन पर रोके रखा गया। वहीं सबलगढ़ से आने वाली नैरोगेज को सुमावली रेलवे स्टेशन पर रोक दिया गया। एक घंटे बाद 11 बजे ट्रैक से पानी उतरने के बाद ट्रेनों को आगे रवाना किया गया।
पटरी से उतरी नैरोगेज: सबलगढ़ से ग्वालियर आ रही नैरोगेज का खाली कोच बहोड़ापुर गरगज हनुमान मंदिर के पास रविवार रात 8.20 पर पटरी से उतर गया। मेंटेनेंस अमले ने करीब 10.30 बजे कोच को पटरी पर रखकर ट्रेन को रवाना किया।

सीतापुर। लखनऊ-दिल्ली राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग-24 पर उत्तर रेलवेे मुरादाबाद मंडल की हेमपुर क्रॉसिंग गेट नंबर-45 ए की मरम्मत का कार्य रविवार से शुरू हो गया। पहले दिन रविवार को कॉशन के जरिए इस ट्रैक से जाने वाली सभी रेलगाड़ियां दस की स्पीड से गुजारी गईं, जबकि क्रॉसिंग से होकर जाने वाले वाहनों को डायवर्जन के जरिए अलग-अलग रूटों से निकाला गया। डायवर्जन के कारण वाहनों को लंबी दूरी तय करनी पड़ी। हालांकि कहीं भी जाम की नौबत नहीं आई। सोमवार को भी इस क्रॉसिंग पर मरम्मत का कार्य होगा।
उत्तर रेलवे मुरादाबाद मंडल की हेमपुर रेलवे क्रॉसिंग गेट नंबर-45 ए की ओवर हॉलिंग व ट्रैक के स्लीपर बदलने के लिए 25 व 26 अगस्त की तारीख तय की थी। इसके चलते लखनऊ-दिल्ली राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग-24 पर पड़ने वाली हेमपुर रेलवे क्रॉसिंग से वाहनों की आवाजाही रविवार को बंद कर दी गई। सुबह दस के बाद इस क्रॉसिंग से वाहनों की आवाजाही पर पूरी तरह बंद कर दी गई। इसके बाद जेसीबी व क्रेन के साथ रेलवे अफसरों की पहुंची और मरम्मत कार्य शुरू करा दिया गया। इस दौरान हेमपुर क्रॉसिंग से गुजरने वाली ट्रेनों को पहले दिन कॉशन देकर दस की स्पीड में निकाला गया। दोपहर तक की सभी ट्रेनों को कॉसन के जरिए पास करने के बाद मरम्मत कार्य तेज हुआ। मरम्मत कार्य में लगे मजदूरों ने पटरियों को काटा। बाद में उन्हें जेसीबी और क्रेन की मदद से निकालने के बाद वहां पर नई पटरियां बिछाईं गईं। इस काम में ढाई घंटे का समय लग गया। आननफानन टीम ने पहले ट्रैक पर लेवलिंग की। बाद में वहां पर नई पटरियां बिछाईं।
इस क्रॉसिंग से होकर गुजरने वाले आम मुसाफिरों व माल वाहक वाहनों को दूसरे मार्गों से निकाला गया। जाम से बचाने के लिए डायवर्जन वाले तय रूटों पर पुलिस बल भी तैनात किया गया था।
लखनऊ से दिल्ली जाने वाले यात्री वाहन सिधौली-मिश्रिख-पिसावां-नेरी होते राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग-24 पर निकाले गए। इसी तरह महोली-बड़ागांव-हरगांव-सीतापुर नैपालापुर वाया लखीमपुर बाई पास होते हुए वाहन हाईवे पर निकले। माल वाहक वाहनों को लखीमपुर बाईपास नैपालापुर-हरगांव-लखीमपुर-मोहम्मदी व शाहजहांपुर को निकाले गए। इस डायवर्जन से यात्री व माल वाहक वाहनों को लंबी दूरी का सफर तय करना पड़ा।http://epaper.amarujala.com//pdf/2013/08/26/20130826a_01716900503.jpg

Thiruvananthapuram: The state government has issued an order to hand over 78 acres of land to railway for Cherthala wagon factory, including 58.288 acres near Ilanji in Cherthala taluk and another land as sought by railway. Alappuzha district collector will have charge of future proceedings. The land will be handed over only after getting a written promise from the railway that they will start the factory.

LUCKNOW: The army recruitment drive in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, turned riotous on Saturday when thousands of unsuccessful applicants went on a rampage during an army recruitment campaign. Pelting stones at buses and stopping trains on the last day of the 'Sena Bharti Mela' at the RPSF camp, several aspirants from Mau district were put through selection test but failed to make the cut. While a totalof 362 were selected, nearly 5000, local police said, were found ineligible. A few of these 5,000 failed candidates created a ruckus at the railway platforms, bus stations and streets of the city, on their way home, reports said.Things turned ugly after the aspirants insisted on travelling in local transport-- auto-rickshaws and buses -- but failed to pay the requisite fare. When asked to pay up, some resorted to pelting stones at roadways buses, the police said. Local police also said they looted railway vendors and stopped several trains passing through Gorakhpur, including the Durg Express, Bagh Express and Varanasi-Gorakhpur Intercity trains on Cantt Railway station, even trying to board them.

Local sources also said the applicants stopped Shaheed Express at the Cantt railway station, delaying it by several hours. The train was able to move only after local policemen and RPF jawans intervened and controlled the mob. Following the racket, the railways said they are attempting to identify the miscreants through CCTV footage. They also said the guilty will be punished, once the identification is completed.

MAPUSA: Tivim MLA and member of the konkan railway users' consultative committee (KRUCC) Kiran Kandolkar assured upgradation of the Tivim railway station with facilities like parking areas, ramps for the physically-handicapped, an over bridge across platforms etc. The MLA is nominated as a member on the KRUCC by ministry of parliamentary affairs, government of India, for a period from March 2013 to February 2015. In view of the committee's meeting at Belapur, Navi Mumbai, Kandolkar recently visited Tivim railway station along with Sirsaim sarpanch Gokuldas Kandolkar, panch members and others. Sources inform that the railway station has received complaints regarding the very narrow entrance leading to the platform that is causing hardships and inconvenience to travellers, especially women and people with disabilities. Kandolkar met with station master Gajanan Kumbhar, other officials of railway station, taxi and rickshaw operators association to discuss several relevant issues for upgradation of the station, including parking area for taxi and other vehicles, widening and repairs of approach road to station, footpaths on either side of the approach road, shaded ramp for handicapped persons and an over bridge across platforms.

"The works like parking areas and a ramp for handicapped persons, which are a necessity, will be taken up soon," Kandolkar said on inspecting the railway station.

Security at the railway station is also an important aspect, as sources inform that many anti-social elements enter Goa through Tivim railway station and are involved in crimes of robbery and chain snatching around Mapusa. Recently, three women from Kolhapur, who were on the run after stealing gold earrings from a beauty parlour in Mapusa were arrested. Kandolkar assured improved security measures at the railway station.
