ब्यास/अमृतसर रोजाना की तरह घर से निकले। बस में बैठे। दोस्तों के साथ गप्पे और पढ़ाई की बातें। कहीं कुछ भी ऐसा नहीं लग रहा था कि हादसा होने वाला है। सब मस्त थे। ट्रैक के पास जैसे ही बस पहुंची कुछ ने देखा कि दूसरी तरफ से ट्रेन आ रही है। ...ट्रेन...ट्रेन...दो-तीन के चिल्लाते ही सभी चिल्लाने लगे...ट्रेन...ट्रेन...लेकिन ड्राइवर ने नहीं सुना। उसने कान में हेडफोन लगा रखा था। सांसें ठंडी होने लगी और हाथ-पांव फूलने लगे...'यादातर ने आंखें बंद कर लीं और वाहेगुरु को याद किया...जोर से बस को झटका लगा...अंधेरा छा गया...उसके बाद क्या हुआ कुछ पता नहीं...खुद को अस्पताल में देखकर आंखों में आंसू आ गए। घरवालों ने बताया बहुत बड़ा हादसा था। अभी भी सोचते हैं तो रोंगटे खड़े हो जाते हैं... -जैसा अस्पताल में दाखिल साहिल प्रीत सिंह, जश्नप्रीत सिंह और तेजबीर सिंह ने बताया |

Train services across six railway zones have been severely hit following power grid failure in the Northern and Eastern regions.Over 300 passenger trains and 200 goods trains have been affected following grid failure in the Northern and Eastern regions, according to railway officials. Services of Northern Railway, North Central Railway, West Central, East Central, Eastern and South Eastern Railway services have been hit.In the railway network around 33 per cent of the total route kilometres and 45 per cent of track kilometres are electrified, which includes most of the busy routes and tracks with double lines.The primary objective behind going for electric traction in the past was to ensure faster acceleration which is very essential for suburban rail systems.With the electrification of Raj Kharswan-Dongaposi section of South Eastern Railway in 1960 proving to be highly successful, high density routes for carrying coal and minerals were also electrified. |

Keeping in view the demands of people, a new Passenger train will be introduced between Balasore and Bhadrak shortly.The news about the proposed introduction of this new Passenger Train has already generated a lot of enthusiasm in the region and it is expected to fulfil the long standing demand of the local people, especially a large number of passengers from Soro.58029 Balasore –Bhadrak Passenger leaving Balasore at 13.40 hrs. will arrive Bhadrak at 15.35 hrs. In the return direction, 58030 Bhadrak-Balasore Passenger leaving Bhadrak at 11.40 hrs. will arrive Balasore at 13.10 hrs. However, the timings are tentative and will be finalized before introduction of the train, shortly. This new passenger train will have daily service with proposed stoppages at Nilgiri Road, Khantapara, Panpana, Bahanagabazar, Soro, Sabira, Markona and Ranital between Balasore and Bhadrak. |

District in-charge Minister Sunil Valyapure has directed officials to speed up development works in the city.After a tour of the city on Tuesday, the Minister criticised the delay in completing works. Mr. Valyapure visited the ring road, indoor stadium, district hospital, drinking water and underground drainage works taken up with Asian Development Bank funds, and the water purification unit on Janawada road.He set a deadline of 24 hours to repair the X-Ray machine at the district hospital.Mr. Valyapure said the number of patients visiting the hospital was increasing every day but patients were not getting timely care. He inspected attendance registers of doctors and asked officials to complete the process of finalising the tender for CAT scan equipment.Later, the Minister directed officials to complete the indoor stadium in three months. “I have also directed officials to complete the ring road soon,” he told presspersons.Mr. Valyapure said he would convene a meeting of Railways and departments of Revenue and Public Works to discuss the status of the railway underbridge and overbridge under construction in the city.He asked Karnataka Urban Water Supply and Drainage Board officials to ensure the drinking water purification unit on Janawada Road functioned properly.“You should ensure that chlorinated water is supplied to residents everyday,” he said. |

चंडीगढ़. नॉर्दर्न पावर ग्रिड में आई गड़बड़ी ने ट्राईसिटी की लाइफ डिरेल कर दी। रविवार को आधी रात जागकर काटनी पड़ी। सोमवार सुबह पानी नहीं मिला। कई बच्चे स्कूल नहीं जा पाए, कुछ लेट पहुंचे। शहर के तीनों बड़े अस्पतालों पीजीआई, जीएमसीएच-32 और जीएमएसएच-16 में मरीजों को कार्ड बनाने से लेकर, फीस जमा कराने तक लंबा इंतजार करना पड़ा। |
