Vadodara/Anand: Launching a counter attack on the BJP, minister of state for railways Bharat Solanki on Monday blamed the state government for mismanagement of the state-run Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC).Ahead of the assembly elections, BJP has come out with an advertisement campaign, alleging that injustice had been meted out to Gujarat by the Centre, especially the railways. The ad claims that rail network in Gujarat has actually reduced over the years.Solanki, Congress MP from Anand, was in Anand to flag off two memu trains - Anand-Dahod and Anand-Gandhinagar."Bus tickets have turned costlier. There have been five hikes in bus fares in recent times. GSRTC has not started any new route while it has closed down old routes. Whose injustice is it? Will you blame the Centre for that also," said Solanki. Terming the BJP's ad campaign as malicious, Solanki said that in the last two years of his tenure, 33 trains were allotted to Gujarat and under the UPA government 61 new trains were started from the state.Addressing a gathering, he promised that Anand railway station will soon have an escalator facility.

अमेठी : चोरों ने कीमती रेलवे पटरियां चुरा लीं और विभाग के किसी अधिकारी को कानोकान खबर तक नहीं हुई। जांच शुरू भी हुई तो अब महकमे के इशारे पर आरपीएफ लीपापोती में जुटी है।12 सितंबर को चोरों ने ताला रेलवे स्टेशन पर रखी रेल पटरियां पार कर दी थीं। तेरह को आरपीएफ प्रतापगढ़ की टीम ने मौके की छानबीन कर जल्द खुलासा करने की बात कही लेकिन पंद्रह दिन बीत जाने के बाद भी अब तक मामले में पुलिस एक भी कदम आगे नहीं बढ़ सकी है। उधर सूत्रों की माने तो पुलिस की खामोशी की वजह महकमे के ही कुछ अधिकारी हैं। महकमे के इन्हीं जिम्मेदारों की वजह से आरपीएफ मामले को दबा रही है। जबकि पटरियों का गायब होना किसी के भी गले नहीं उतर रहा है। एक रात में पटरियां गायब हो जाना कहीं से भी सही नहीं लगता। भारी-भरकम लोहे को कौन और किस तरह ले गया इसे लेकर भी लोग सशंकित हैं। सूचना पर मौके पर पहुंची आरपीएफ प्रतापगढ़ ने मामले की छानबीन तो शुरू कर दी लेकिन सत्रह दिन बीत जाने के बाद भी उस छानबीन को कोई परिणाम सामने नहीं आया है।

थाना प्रभारी बोले
इस बाबत जब आरपीएफ थाना प्रभारी प्रतापगढ़ से उनके मोबाइल नंबर 9794833710 पर बात करने का प्रयास किया गया तो वे गोलमोल जवाब दे रहे थे। उन्होंने कहा कि मामला काफी पहले का है इसलिए याद नहीं है।

डीआरएम बोले
मामले को लेकर डीआरएम लखनऊ जयदीप राय से उनके मोबाइल नंबर 9794833000 पर बात की गई तो उन्होंने स्वीकार किया कि दो रेल पटरियां जिनकी लंबाई 13 मीटर है, चोरी हो गई हैं। मामले की छानबीन की जा रही है।

The rail roko by activists and farmers in Mandya, most trains were cancelled or rescheduled, which delayed the departure of outbound trains in the evening.The Cauvery agitation in the Mysore-Mandya region on Monday completely paralysed train services between Mysore and Bangalore, driving thousands of passengers to despair.Consequent to the rail roko by activists and farmers in Mandya, most trains were cancelled or rescheduled, which delayed the departure of outbound trains in the evening.While some of the important superfast trains such as the Tipu Express and Chamundi Express were cancelled, the Chennai–Mysore Shatabdi Express was terminated at Bangalore.Though 16222 Chennai–Mysore Kaveri Express arrived at the city station, the authorities were surprised to receive a nearly empty rake as most passengers had either disembarked at Bangalore anticipating trouble or had cancelled their journey to Mysore. Among the services that were cancelled or affected was the 16215 Mysore–Bangalore Chamundi Express, which is patronised by daily commuters. Hundreds of season ticket holders commute daily between Mysore and Bangalore for work and they were stranded as the train service was terminated at Hanakere.

The train returned to Mysore with some of the passengers availing themselves of leave as continuing on their journey to Bangalore by bus was not an option owing to the rasta roko.

The 16231 Mayiladuthurai–Mysore Express was held up at Maddur and the train which reached Mysore at 5 p.m. instead of its scheduled arrival at 9.20 a.m. did not have many passengers.

Similarly, the 56214 Tirupati–Chamarajanagar Fast Passenger was terminated at Shettihalli and returned to Bangalore. By evening, the Railway authorities used a scrap rake and rescheduled the Chamarajanagar–Tirupati Fast Passenger which departed from Mysore at 6.15 p.m. instead of 5 p.m.

PENSION ADALAT-2012

(1)South Western Railway will be holding Pension Adalat 2012 on Monday, 17th December 2012.
(2)The Pension Adalat will deal with the grievances of Retired Employees/Dependants of deceased employees in respect of Pension, Family pension, Settlement dues and Medical Allowance, etc. Such retired employees/ward shall apply to offices/units where their settlement was done.
(3)They should apply in the given format to respective Railway authorities as per the list given below, giving complete details.
(4)Application envelopes should be super scribed “Pension Adalat-2012” and shall be received in respective offices by 9th November 2012.

(5)Grievances not directly connected with settlement dues such as Compassionate Ground Appointments employment to ward of serving/retired employees, grant of family pension where they had not opted for pension and fixation of pay etc. shall not be entertained by the Pension Adalat.
