To clear extra rush during the festive season and facilitate passengers in view of ensuing Diwali festival, o­ne AC Super Fast special train will be run for the benefit of passengers from Mumbai Central to New Delhi.


·Mumbai Central- New Delhi AC Super Fast Special Train

Train No. 04093 Mumbai Central – New Delhi AC Super Fast Special train will depart from Mumbai Centralat 11.15 hrs o­n 12th November, 15th November, 18thNovember, 21st November & 24th November, 2012 and reach New Delhi at 08.05 hrs. o­n the next day.



Similarly, Train No. 04094 New Delhi – Mumbai Central AC Super Fast Special train will depart from New Delhi at 06.20 hrs o­n 11th November, 14th November, 17th November, 20th November and 23rd November, 2012 and reach Mumbai Central at 05.00 hrs. o­n the next day.
The train will halt at Borivali, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Nagda, Kota, Mathura, Faridabad & Hazarat Nizamuddin stations in both directions
The train will have AC II Tier & AC III Tier coaches.
Booking for 04093 will open from 11th November, 2012.

Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh: Congress President Sonia Gandhi flagged off the first set of coaches from the modern Rs. 1,685 crore rail coach manufacturing factory inaugurated by her on Wednesday in her Raebareli parliamentary constituency.

The project was commissioned a few weeks after the Congress got the Railway Ministry back after nearly 16 years, a portfolio last held by former ally Trinamool Congress before its pullout of UPA in September.The foundation stone for the Railway Coach Factory (RCF) which is the biggest project in Rae Bareli and the third in the country was laid in January 2009 just before Lok Sabha polls and the then BSP government in Uttar Pradesh had termed it as a "political gimmick" on the eve of polls to gain political mileage. "I here want to mention those who spread rumours against the project. But it has been completed in such a short time", Ms Gandhi said at the inaugural function at RCF in Lalganj.The land for the project was initially denied to the Railways, which had then blamed the BSP government for delaying the start of project.Stating that the factory would not only generate employment opportunities for locals but also ensure development of the area, Sonia said full compensation was given to farmers by the railways for their land."The regional industries are likely to grow and locals will find new employment opportunities", she added.Before flagging off 20 coaches produced in the factory which would be used in Rajdhani and Shatabdi trains, Sonia inspected them and said she was feeling elated.

"Railways on which 1.5 crore passengers travel every day is crucial for the economy of the country. It is the biggest employer in which over 15 lakh employees work", Ms Gandhi said in the presence of Railways Minister Pawan Bansal. "I have seen how people in far away places in Jammu and Kashmir were enthused when the service started there", Ms Gandhi added, trying to highlight its importance.

JAIPUR: Unmanned railway crossings resulted in yet another tragic accident in the state. Four persons were killed, while one was seriously injured when a train rammed into the jeep they were traveling in in Churu's Hamirvas area on Friday. The local villagers gathered at the railway tracks after the incident.According to the police, the incident took place near Gugalva Kirtan village in the Hamirvas police station area. The four deceased were Pawan Kumar Sharma (35), Jagdish Meghwal (30), Bishan Kumar (22) and Sandeep (10), and they were residents of Gugalva Kirtan."The men were on their way to the village in a jeep. They were passing through the unmanned railway crossing and were unaware of the approaching Delhi-Bikaner Express, which rammed into their jeep. The four died on the spot," said a police officer. One Sunil (20) was rushed to the hospital with the help of villagers. His condition is stated to be serious.Police said the Delhi-Bikaner Express was halted, but it left after a few minutes. However, the villagers gathered on the railway track and blocked it."Another approaching train was made to stop at a distance until the villagers were pacified. They were demanding that guards be deployed at railway crossings. The officials assured them of making the railway crossings safer," said the officer.

Principal Special Judge for CBI cases, Visakhapatnam, G. Anupama Chakravarthy on Friday convicted Vadlamannati Ranga Raju, the then Sr. Traffic Inspector of Accounts (TIA) in the Senior DFM’s Office, ECoR, Visakhapatnam, for abusing his official position and sentenced him to undergo simple imprisonment of six years.The accused had committed theft of manually cancelled tickets and presented the same for getting refund against which refunds were already granted. The accused was sent to the Central Prison. Ranga Raju used to visit General Booking Office and Passenger Reservation System for checking cancelled tickets. He used to check cancelled tickets manually with the refund statement and used to mark them with blue pencil at GBO.He used to steal some of the AC Class tickets and present them at the PRS for refund.The staff manning the counters could not resist as he was a senior officer. Many of them had no inkling that Section TIA may be resorting to malpractice and they used to oblige the accused and pay the amount to him.CBI Deputy Inspector General G. Nageswara Rao said a case was registered against the accused on August 10, 2006 under the Sections 120-B, 420 of the IPC and Section13(1)(d) read with 13(2) of PC Act, 1988 against Ranga Raju and some other unknown persons.The accused while functioning as public servant during April, 2006 to July, 2006, cheated ECoR in the matter of getting refunds against the cancelled tickets in 244 instances.The accused had committed theft of manually cancelled tickets and presented the same for getting refund
