The railway police is looking for a victim, who underwent treatment for a leg fracture at a railway clinic and then left before his statement could be recorded in Thursday’s incident. The police is hoping to get the exact sequence of events from the victim, in order to get a clearer picture.According to the railway police, the man, identified only as Kanhaiyalal Yadav, reached an emergency first aid centre set up on platform six of the Central Railway section at Dadar station, soon after the accident occurred. He was diagnosed with a fracture to his right leg, provided necessary medical aid and was advised to get himself admitted to a hospital. The man then left, leaving his name, address and cellphone number at the register.“The residential address only mentions a road in Chunabhatti and is too vague. The cellphone number is switched off, effectively ruling out any way to trace the man easily. We are now making inquiries with hospitals, both government as well as private, to check if anyone with a fracture to his right leg has been admitted since Thursday,” said a railway police officer.
The police, however, is worried that the man might decide to stay at home and get treated by a visiting physician, which would make it next to impossible to trace him.
On Thursday, two commuters fell out of a crowded local train between Sion and Matunga stations and two others were injured. Yadav was the fifth victim.

The planning commission is yet to approve the Dharwad-Belgaum via Kittur railway line. While speaking at the inuguration of the renovated Hubli station MOS Railways Muniappah said, that once the proposal is cleared and the project implemented the new line would reduce the journey time between Dharwad and Belgaum by four hours.

The ministry and Karnataka government have taken up projects involving an investment of Rs 6,000 crore. The state government will provide Rs 3,600 crore.

भोपाल। हबीबगंज रेलवे स्टेशन पर एक रेलवे अफसर की ट्रेन से कटकर मौत हो गई। हादसा उस वक्त हुआ जब वह हबीबगंज-दाहोद पैसेंजर में सवार हो रहे थे। जीआरपी ने फिलहाल मर्ग कायम कर जांच शुरू कर दी है।

 

रेलवे क्वार्टर, हबीबगंज निवासी 52 वर्षीय रविकांत पिता सूरज त्यागी सीएनडब्ल्यू भोपाल में बतौर ऑफिस सुप्रींटेंडेंट पदस्थ थे। पुलिस के मुताबिक सोमवार सुबह करीब पौने बारह बजे वह हबीबगंज से दाहोद की ओर जाने वाली पैसेंजर ट्रेन में सवार हो रहे थे।

 

इसी दौरान उनका पैर फिसल गया और वह ट्रेन की चपेट में आ गए। बताया जा रहा है कि ट्रेन के पहिए उनके सीने पर से गुजर गए, जिससे उनकी मौके पर ही मौत हो गई। हादसे की सूचना पर जीआरपी हबीबगंज भी मौके पर पहुंच गई और शव कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया।

South Central Railway isrunning 132 Special Trains during the months of October and November, 2012 to popular destinations such as Secunderabad, Vishakhapatnam, Tirupati, Kakinada, Shirdi, Nanded, Aurnagabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Jaipur, Santragachi and Shalimar (Kolkata) and Jammu Tawi to clear extra rush of passengers during ensuing festival season. The details can be viewed o­n SC Railway Web-site: www.scr.indianrailways.gov.in.Some of the existing trains have been augmented permanently with 61 additional coaches recently. Extra coaches are being attached o­n a daily basis to trains having long waiting list. Extra ticket counters are being operated at major stations o­n need basis to ease queues.
Apart from these special arrangements, the officials from Commercial, Vigilance and Security Departments of South Central Railway will carry out Special Checks during Pooja holidays to prevent irregularities in Booking / Reservation in order to ensure that bona-fied passengers are able to booktheir tickets with out facing any problem.
Raids o­n the premises of unauthorized and authorized travel agents with the help of local Police are being conducted in order to check / seize blocking of reservation under fictitious names and subsequent sale of transferred tickets. The checks will also concentrate on curbing theblocking of accommodation in Unreserved Coaches by Towel spreaders / anti social elements. Special efforts are also beingmade to detect fake tickets,forged tickets, resale of tickets, reuse of used tickets and also to detect misuse ofBlank Paper Tickets, Extra Fare Tickets, Circular Tours Tickets and unsold tickets etc.
It is being ensured that Additional Coaches are logged in the Passenger Reservation System in time so that the waiting list is automatically updated. Statement of name change is drawn out o­n a daily basis and closely monitored to stop any misuse thereof. If there are any unusually high transactions by any particular Enquiry Cum Reservation Clerk, he/she is kept under close watch to detect any possible connivance with touts. In addition, the queues at the Reservation Counters are being monitored through Closed Circuit Television Cameras, wherever available, to prevent the activities of touts.
Arrangements are also made to man the Additional Coaches and Special Trains by Travelling Ticket Examiners so that in case any irregularity is detected responsibility could be fixed. South Central Railway gives wide publicity through Press Releases, Display Advertisements and website etc., to make the general public aware of the provision of Additional Coaches, Extra Coaches and Special Trains etc., enabling them to book their ticketsin advance and not to fall into the hands of touts / agents.

NAGPUR: Bowing to the demand for revising the timings of special train for Hazrat Nizamuddin and back, the Railways have decided to revise timings of the train for the benefit of passengers.Accordingly train number 02438 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Nagpur special which was to leave at 6.45 am will now leave at 10 am on every Friday from October 12 to November 30 and arrive in Nagpur at 4.40 am instead of 1.40 am on next day (Saturday).Similarly, train number 02437 Nagpur-Hazrat Nizamuddinn special will leave Nagpur at 6.20 am instead of 3.50 am on every Saturday from October 13 to December 1 and reach Hazrat Nizamuddinn at 11.55 pm instead of 8.40 pm on same day (Saturday).It will halt at Itarsi, Bhopal and Jhansi. This train will run with 18 coach including One First AC, four two Tier AC, 10 three Tier AC, one pantry Car and two generator car coaches a release from Public Relations Department, Central Railway, Nagpur said.
