लखनऊ कानपुर सेंट्रल रेलखंड पर गंगा ब्रिज पर चल रहे कार्य की वजह से गोरखपुर से जाने वाली बहुत सी महत्वपूर्ण ट्रेनों को बदले हुए मार्ग से भेज जा रहा है जो यात्रियों के लिए मुसीबत बन गया है|
कानपुर होकर जाने वाली गोरखधाम, बिहार संपर्क क्रांति और कुशीनगर जैसी ट्रेनें मार्ग बदल कर जा रही है जिस वजह से घंटों लेट हो जा रही हैं| तेरह नवम्बर को गोरखधाम पांच घण्टे विलम्ब से नई दिल्ली पहुंची और 14 नवम्बर को गोरखपुर लगभग पौने सात घण्टे विलम्ब से पहुंची| ये गाड़ी रोजाना ही लगभग इतनी ही देरी चल रही है|
दरभंगा - नई दिल्ली बिहार संपर्क क्रांति का भी यही हाल है| दिल्ली पहुँचते पहुँचते ये छह घण्टे से ज्यादा विलम्ब हो जा रही है और दिल्ली से आते आते भी चार घण्टे के लगभग रोजाना ये विलम्ब हो जारही है|
सबसे ज्यादा बुरा हाल कुशीनगर एक्सप्रेस का है जो नौ से ग्यारह घण्टे तक विलम्ब हो जारही है| वहीँ सप्तक्रांति भी आनंदविहार तीन घण्टे विलम्ब से ही पहुंच पा रही है|

In view of Sant Nirrankari mandal Convention at Delhi South Centrail Railway has announced two special trains to clear the extra rush from HS Nanded, Aurangabad, Bhusawal and Delhi Safdargunj.

02421 H.S.Nanded – Delhi Safdargunj Special Train will run on November 17 while 02422 Delhi Safdargunj – H.S.Nanded Special Train will run on November 23.

• 02421 H.S.Nanded – Delhi Safdargunj Special Train will depart from HS Nanded at 11:50AM on Thursday and will arrive Delhi Safdargunj at 09:50PM next day.
• In return direction 02422 Delhi Safdargunj – H.S.Nanded Special Train will depart from Delhi at 08:35AM and will arrive HS Nanded at 03:40PM.

Enroute stations for this train are –

Purna, Parbhani, Jalna, Aurangabad, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusawal, Khandwa, Itarsi, Bhopal, Jhansi, Agra Cont. and H.Nizamuddin

There will be one AC second, one AC Third, eight Sleeper Class  and two Second class General coaches.

नार्थ सेंट्रल रेलवे में आने वाले लखनऊ - कानपुर मार्ग पर चल रहे गंगा के पुल निर्माण कार्य की वजह से सत्ताईस दिनों तक इस मार्ग पर आने जाने वाली ट्रेनें प्रभावित रहेंगी जिस वजह से बहुत सी गाड़ियां निरस्त रहेंगी जबकि कुछ गाड़ियों को आंशिक रूप से निरस्त किया गया है वहीँ कुछ परिवर्तित मार्ग से जा रही हैं|
ये कार्य ग्यारह तारिख से शुरू हुआ था और तीन दिन में ट्रेनों पर आये प्रभाव की वजह से यात्रियों को परेशानी हो रही है| सबसे ज्यादा असर गोरखपुर से लखनऊ और कानपुर होते हुए जाने और आने वाली ट्रेनों पर पड़ा है जिससे कई लंबी दूरी की ट्रेनें निरस्त हो गयी हैं |
सात दिसम्बर तक ये निर्माण कार्य चलेगा और सात दिसम्बर तक रेल यातायात अस्त व्यस्त रहेगा|
गाड़ी सं. 14217/14218 प्रयाग-चण्‍डीगढ ऊंचाहार एक्‍सप्रेस प्रयाग से 14.05 बजे के स्‍थान पर 16.45 बजे चलेगी।
गाड़ी सं. 12469/12470 कानपुर-जम्‍मूतवी एक्‍सप्रेस (सप्‍ताह में दो दिन) अपने निर्धारित मार्ग के स्‍थान पर कानपुर-दिल्‍ली-अम्‍बाला के रास्‍ते चलेगी।

 यूपी चुनाव के आने तक रेलवे ने यूपी के लिए बहुत सी नई ट्रेनें अभी तक चलाईं हैं जो की कोई नई बात नहीं है| आमतौर पर हर पार्टी रेलवे को एक चुनावी हथियार के रूप में देखती है और वहां के मतदाताओं को लुभाने के लिए नई नई ट्रेनों की घोषणा करती रहती है| 
यूपी में भी कुछ ऐसा ही हुआ है जहाँ बीजेपी ने बहुत सी नई ट्रेनों की घोषणा की है पर जो नहीं हुआ था अभी तक वो भी इस बार हुआ| ट्रेनों के नाम प्रसिद्ध व्यक्तियों पर रखे गए हैं जो की मतदाताओं को लुभाने का अच्छा तरीका हो सकता है|
उदहारण के तौर पर महामना एक्सप्रेस जो भारत के प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के चुनावी छेत्र वाराणसी से चलती है, पंडित मदन मोहन मालवीय के नाम पे रखी गयी है जिन्होंने बनारस हिन्दू विश्वविद्यालय की स्थापना की थी| इतना ही नहीं ये भारत की पहली ट्रेन थी जिसे आम यात्रियों के लिए अति आधुनिक तरीके से बनाया गया था|
इसके अलावा आनंदविहार - गाजीपुर एक्सप्रेस का नाम सुहलदेव रखा गया जो ग्यारहवीं शताब्दी में वहां के राजा हुआ करते थे और अन्य पिछड़ी जाति से थे|
इसी प्रकार बलिया से दिल्ली के चलने वाली ट्रेन का नाम भृगु एक्सप्रेस रखा गया जो भारत के महान ऋषियों में एक थे|
अभी तक रेलवे ने ट्रेनों के नाम नदियों के नाम पर या जगहों के नाम पर या किसी छेत्र के नाम पर ही रखता था पर ये पहली बार है जब किसी व्यक्ति के नाम पर रखा गया है|

In a circular issued by Eastern Railway it has been notified that one pair of special trains will run between Sealdah and Santipur.

These trains will run on November 15/16 and November 16/17. The decision is taken amid huge crowd of devotees of Rash Yatra Utsav.

Train from Sealdah to Santipur will leave Sealdah at 09:06PM and will reach Santipur at 11:32PM; while the down train from Santipur will leave at 12:10AM and will reach Sealdah at 02:35AM.

Apart from this local trains will additionally stop at Bathna Krittibas Halt station ffrom November 14 to November 17 that falls under Alinarayanpur – Santipur section. This will facilitate devotes to reach religious pilgrims Rash Yatra Utsav in Santipur area.

Soon Bengaluru and Mangalore will be 90 minutes shorter by train, with the new railway line coming into existence that will connect both cities via Shravanabelagola and Hassan. The project is almost complete and is awaiting clearance from Railway Safety commissioner.

This project was sanctioned in 1996-97 and the estimated cost was Rs 1300crore. The project never completed till date due to fund crunch and permission was denied to pass the railway line through Vijay Mallay’s stud farm in Kunegal. Also land acquisition in Ramanagara district posed the biggest hurdle in completion of this project.

The 368-km route from Bengaluru will be a 10.5hrs long journey if starting station is Chikkabanavar. Currently the journey from Bengaluru to Mangalore takes 11.45hrs.

The new route will also cover significant tourist attractions like Adichunchanagiri Mutt which is near Bala Gangadharanatha Swamiji railway station and Shravanabelagola.

A weekly special train between Nagercoil and Krishnarajapuram has been announced by Railways.

06011 / 06012 Nagercoil – Krishnarajapuram – Nagercoil will run on Novemner 20 and 27 from Nagercoil and on November 21 and 28 from Krishnarajapuram.

06011 Nagercoil – Krishnarajapuram weekly special will depart from Nagercoil at 04:15PM in the evening and will reach Krishnarajapuram at 08:00AM in the morning next day.

06012 Krishnarajapuram – Nagercoil special will depart Krishnarajapuram at 12:20PM and will reach Nagercoil at 04:30 AM in the morning next day.

Railway has announced a weekly special train between Yeswantpur and Vishakhapatnam.

Yeswantpur – Vishakhapatnam weekly Tatkal Express will run from November 18 to December 30; while Vishakhapatnam – Yeswantpur weekly Tatkal Express will run from November 20 to January 01, 2017.

Train from Yeswantpur will leave on every Friday at 06:35PM in the evening and will reach Vishakhapatnam at 02:35PM on Saturday.

In return direction, this train will leave Vishakhapatnam on every Sunday at 01:45PM afternoon and will arrive at Yeswantpur at 09:05AM on Mondays.

On Saturday night at Dindigul railway station, three women were injured as they slipped from the Tiruchendur-Pollachi passenger train.

Satya (19) were boarding on the train with her relatives Kavitha (28) and Nitya (22) of Pollachi, when they slipped on the platform. All three of them were rushed to the Dindigul GH for treatment.

Police said if anyone would have fallen off the platform a serious tragedy would have taken place. The train was two hours behind schedule and arrived Dindigul at 8 p.m., due to signal problem at Virudhunagar.

Once the train started moving from the station, all of them tried to board the train but they slipped and fell on the platform.
