First fully loaded train from Indian Railways Tejas Express will be fully loaded with ultra-modern amenities like on-board infotainment, wi-fi, Tea/coffee vending machine, CCTV, smoke detectors, fire detectors etc. Speed Indian railways has promised an average speed of 130kmph although this train is capable enough to run at a speed of 200kmph. Modern Design: Will have automatic doors a first in non-suburban train in Indian Railways. Dust-proof / Sealed inter car gangway. The graffiti proof, vinyl-wrapped specially designed exterior has a bright colour theme of orange and yellow. Route and Schedule – First Tejas train of Indian Railways will operate between Mumbai and Goa. This train will run 5 days a week during non – monsoon period and three days a week during monsoon period. This train will stop at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Ratnagiri and Kudal. Capacity The 20 coach train will have one executive AC chair car with 56 seating capacity and 12 AC chair cars with 78 seat capacity of each coach. Fare Executive Class Fare from Mumbai to Goa – Rs 2680 With Food and Rs 2525 without food. AC chair Car fare – Rs 1,280 with food and Rs 1,155 without food. Safety The high-speed train has all the safety measures like suppression system, fire suppression system, smoke detection and fire detection. A GPS-based passenger information display system and a digital destination board has also been installed for the convenience of the passengers. Cleanliness The train has bio-vacuum toilets facility in all the coaches. It will also have other features like hand dryers, water level indicators and touch-less water taps. |
