AHMEDABAD/VADODARA: The train services between Ahmedabad and Mumbai were badly affected for the second consecutive day following heavy rains in Vadodara, Bharuch and most parts of south Gujarat.On Tuesday, 11 trains were cancelled after water level at the railway bridge between Palej and Miyagam in the Vadodara division started flowing above the danger mark. Many trains were moving late by nearly three to four hours.Some long distance trains bound for northern, central and eastern part of the country were diverted via Ratlam and Bhopal. The trains that were cancelled were Mumbai Central - Ahmedabad Double Decker, Bandra (T) -Ahmedabad, Shatabdi Express, Surat Intercity Express, Bhilad-Vadodara Express, Vadtal Swaminarayan - Bharuch Passenger, Ahmedabad - Bandra (T), Ahmedabad - Mumbai Central and Ahmedabad - Borivili.

The Vadodara division suspended narrow gauge operations till further intimation due to heavy rainfall. Trains on this gauge on the Bharuch-Jambusar-Kavi, Chorana-Moti Koral, Jambusar-Pratapnagar, Malsar-Chandod, Nadiad-Bhadran and Kosamba-Umarpada sections have been suspended.

A first class AC coach (H-1) of the 12402 New Delhi-Patna Magadh Express caught fire near Buxar station, 100km west of Patna, around 11.25am on Monday.
The fire struck between Gahmar and Chausa stations. It took two fire tenders two-and-a-half hours to douse the fire. Danapur division railway manager of East Central Railway (ECR) N.K. Gupta toldThe Telegraph: “The reason behind the fire is not yet known. A forensic team from Patna has rushed to the spot to investigate.”
He further said: “The good thing is there were no casualties and all passengers in the coach are safe.”
ECR chief public relation officer Amitabh Prabhakar said: “As soon as the train left Dildar Nagar station at 11.02am and crossed Karmnasha overbridge, smoke began emanating from a coach. All seven passengers, including a vendor, pulled the emergency chain and the train stopped. All five AC bogies, including the one that had caught fire, were detached and taken to Chausa station where firemen doused the flames.”
Driver of the train, P. Nath, who decided to isolate the AC bogies, said: “It was important to detach the bogies, otherwise the flame could have spread to other bogies.”
Former Sikandarpur MLA Bhagwan Pathak who was in the compartment that caught fire said: “A few passengers came and told me smoke was emanating from the compartment. They then went and informed the guard.”
Buxar superintendent of police (SP) Babulal has reached the spot to look after the rescue operations.
The train left Chausa station around 3:30pm and reached Patna Junction around 6.20pm, almost seven hours behind schedule. The incident affected running of at least 20 trains.

उत्तर रेलवे ने गुवाहाटी-नई दिल्ली के बीच बुधवार से स्पेशल ट्रेन संचालन का फैसला लिया है। एसी सुपरफास्ट साप्ताहिक स्पेशल 02435 गुवाहाटी से शाम 5:55 बजे चलकर नई दिल्ली दूसरे दिन सुबह 04:15 बजे पहुंचेगी। इसका संचालन 25 सितंबर से 27 नवंबर तक होगा। इसके साथ ही नई दिल्ली-गुवाहाटी के बीच 27 सितंबर से 29 नवंबर तक स्पेशल ट्रेन 02436 संचालित होगी। स्पेशल ट्रेन सुबह 09:30 बजे नई दिल्ली से चलकर दूसरे दिन शाम सात बजे गुवाहाटी पहुंचेगी। एसी सुपरफास्ट स्पेशल ट्रेन दोनों ओर से मुरादाबाद, बरेली, लखनऊ, वाराणसी, बल्लिया, छपरा, हाजीपुर, बरौनी, बेगूसराय, कटिहार, किशनगंज, न्यूजलपाइगुड़ी, कूच बिहार, न्यू अलीद्वारपुर और रंगिया स्टेशनों पर रुकेगी।

मुगलसराय (चंदौली) : पंचकोशी यात्रा के लिए आंध्र प्रदेश से भारी संख्या में साधुओं के आगमन की सूचना के मद्देनजर रेलवे जंक्शन पर सुरक्षा एजेंसियों द्वारा जमकर जांच पड़ताल की गई। साथ ही भारी संख्या में फोर्स की तैनाती भी की गई थी।
पुलिस को सूचना मिली थी कि डाउन संघमित्रा एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन द्वारा बड़ी संख्या में साधु मुगलसराय पहुंच रहे हैं। यहां से साधु दूसरी ट्रेन द्वारा अयोध्या के लिए कूच करेंगे और पंचकोशी यात्रा में भाग लेंगे किन्तु ट्रेन के यहां आने पर ऐसा कुछ भी नहीं रहा।
दरअसल 12295 डाउन बैंग्लोर से पटना जाने वाली संघमित्रा एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन के तीन कोचों में बड़ी संख्या में साधु व श्रद्धालु अयोध्या में पंचकोशी यात्रा में भाग लेने की सूचना पर आनन फानन में मुगलसराय जीआरपी व पुलिस को तत्काल जंक्शन पर पहुंचने व सर्तकता बरतने के आदेश मिले थे। इसी के तहत लगभग पांच बजे भोर में पहुंचने वाली ट्रेन के आने से पहले ही जंक्शन पर सीओ सुधाकर यादव सहित मुगलसराय कोतवाल रामप्रगट यादव, अलीनगर थानाध्यक्ष साजिद सिद्दीकी पुलिस, होमगार्ड व महिलाकर्मियों के साथ पहुंचकर ट्रेन का इंतजार करने लगे।
तीन घंटे विलंब से उक्त ट्रेन प्रात: आठ बजे जंक्शन के प्लेटफार्म संख्या एक पर पहुंची। ट्रेन के पहुंचते ही पुलिस फोर्स ने इंजन से लेकर गार्ड तक के डिब्बों को खंगालना शुरू कर दिया लेकिन उन्हें ऐसा कुछ भी नहीं मिला। जीआरपी कोतवाल रतन सिंह यादव ने बताया कि सूचना के आधार पर पुलिस फोर्स तैनात थी लेकिन ट्रेन में ऐसा कुछ भी नहीं था।

Some trains coming towards Mumbai tomorrow are expected to get delayed.

In a bid to avoid rush in regular trains to New Delhi and Yesvantpur and provide comfort to passengers, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has decided to run weekly special trains for New Delhi and Yesvantpur from Bhubaneswar and between Visakhapatnam and Tata via Bhubaneswar, Jakhapura, Keonjhar and Banspani.

The 02815 Bhubaneswar-New Delhi special train will leave Bhubaneswar at 8.10am every Sunday and arrive at New Delhi at 6.05pm every Monday starting from September 29 to November 24. In its return direction, the 02816 New Delhi-Bhubaneswar special train will leave New Delhi at 1pm every Monday and arrive at Bhubaneswar at 11.05am every Tuesday between September 30 to November 25. The train will have stoppages at Cuttack, Bhadrak, Baleswar.

Similarly, the 02845 Bhubaneswar-Yesvantpur special train will depart Bhubaneswar at 7.45am every Wednesday, which will reach Yesvantpur at 12.10 pm every Thursday between September 25 and November 27. In its return way, the 02846 Yesvantpur-Bhubaneswar special train will leave Yesvantpur at 11.30 pm every Thursday and reach Bhubaneswar at 3.30am every Saturday from September 26 to November 28. The train will have stoppages at Khurda Road, Balugaon and Brahmapur.

Besides, the 08516 Visakhapatnam-Tata special train will leave Visakhapatnam at 5.45pm every Sunday and arrive at Tata at 10.45am on the next day between September 22 to November 24. In its return direction, the 08515 Tata-Visakhapatnam special train will depart Tata at 1pm on every Monday between September 23 to November 25 and reach Visakhapatnam at 4.40pm the following day.

The train will have stoppages at Brahmapur, Chhatrapur, Balugaon, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Mancheswar, Cuttack, Jakhapura, Sukinda Road, Harichandanpur, Kendujhargarh, Nayagarh and Bansapani.

About 600 train passengers were detected travelling without ticket during a special programme launched by East Coast Railway (ECoR) at the railway station here to discourage ticketless travellers and unauthorised visitors.During the special 36-hour drive which commenced yesterday, EcOR has detected about 600 passengers who were travelling without tickets or with improper tickets and collected a fine of about Rs 1.60 lakh, ECoR sources said today.Apart from this, 42 persons were fined for spitting, littering and violating cleanliness rules, they said.Similarly, the passengers were counselled and educated to buy bona fide tickets from the ticket counters to make their journey hassle free.Daily commuters were advised to buy Monthly Season Tickets (MST), which is much cheaper than the regular journey fare, to avoid standing in the queue at booking counters.Passengers were also encouraged to buy ATVM (Automatic Ticket Vending Machine) Smart Card which is one of the most convenient ways to buy tickets now-a-days and advised to carry minimum luggage to make their journey more comfortable.

About 67 ticket checking staff were involved in the drive and awareness programme.

Altogether 14 minor children were rescued by the Samastipur RPF from the clutches of touts from the Samastipur railway platform late on Monday evening. They were to board a Ambala-bound train when RPF men detained them. Two persons identified as Anil Kumar of Ballochak under Dalsingsarai police station of the district and Baldeo Sada of Gangapur village under Sarairanjan police station were arrested in this connection. The rescued children hailing from Sahpur Patori block of the district were handed over to Bal Kalyan Samiti for sending them to their respective homes.

चंडीगढ़ से अंबाला का ट्रेन का सफर बुधवार से सिर्फ 38 मिनट का रह जाएगा। चंडीगढ़ से नई दिल्ली के बीच दोपहर में चलने वाली शताब्दी बुधवार से अंबाला में भी रुकेगी।

यह ट्रेन चंडीगढ़ से अंबाला तक सबसे कम समय में पहुंचने वाली ट्रेन होगी। यह चंडीगढ़ से नई दिल्ली के बीच भी सबसे कम समय लगाने वाली ट्रेन है।

इस ट्रेन का अंबाला में स्टॉपेज होने से चंडीगढ़ से अंबाला के बीच ट्रेन की दूरी दो मिनट कम हो जाएगी। अभी चंडीगढ़ से अंबाला के बीच चलने वाली ट्रेनें 40 मिनट से 1.20 घंटा लेती हैं। चंडीगढ़ से सुबह और शाम को नई दिल्ली के लिए जाने वाली शताब्दी 40 मिनट लेती हैं, जबकि दोपहर में चलने वाली शताब्दी 38 मिनट में ही अंबाला पहुंच जाएगी। इस ट्रेन से अंबाला जाने के लिए यात्रियों को 275 रुपये खर्च करने होंगे।

सुबह और शाम के समय नई दिल्ली के लिए जाने वाली शताब्दी एक्सप्रेस के अलावा चंडीगढ़- लखनऊ एक्सप्रेस, चंडीगढ़-अजमेर गरीब रथ एक्सप्रेस, ऊंचाहर एक्सप्रेस भी चंडीगढ़ से अंबाला तक पहुंचने में 40 मिनट लेती हैं। कालका मेल 50 मिनट, जनशताब्दी एक्सप्रेस 57 मिनट और हिमालयन क्वीन 52 मिनट लेती है। केरल संपर्क क्रांति एक्सप्रेस 1 घंटा 20 मिनट लेती है।

�चंडीगढ़ से नई दिल्ली के बीच 14 जनवरी से तीसरी शताब्दी एक्सप्रेस शुरू हुई थी। अभी तक चंडीगढ़-नई दिल्ली के बीच यह पहली ट्रेन थी, जो नॉन स्टाप थी। यात्रियों की मांग पर रेलवे ने अंबाला में भी इसका स्टॉपेज तय कर दिया है। यह ट्रेन अंबाला में दो मिनट तक रुकेगी और यह परिवर्तन बुधवार से प्रभावी हो रहा है। इससे अंबाला से नई दिल्ली जाने वाले यात्रियों को नई दिल्ली के लिए एक और शताब्दी मिल जाएगी।

दोपहर में चलने वाली शताब्दी चंडीगढ़ से दिल्ली पहुंचने में 3.20 घंटा लेती है। जबकि, सुबह और शाम को चलने वाली शताब्दी चंडीगढ़ से नई दिल्ली की दूरी 3.25 घंटे में तय करती हैं। ऐसे में दिल्ली पहुंचने में यह ट्रेन पांच मिनट का समय कम लेती है। अंबाला में स्टॉपेज होने के बाद भी यह ट्रेन दिल्ली पहुंचने में 3.20 घंटा लेगी।

आज से यह होगा शेड्यूल नई दिल्ली के बीच तीसरी शताब्दी दोपहर 12 बजे चंडीगढ़ से रवाना होगी और 12.38 पर अंबाला पहुंचेगी। अंबाला से यह ट्रेन 12.40 पर प्रस्थान करेगी और दोपहर 3.20 बजे नई दिल्ली पहुंचेगी। वापसी में यह ट्रेन शाम 7.15 बजे नई दिल्ली से चलेगी और रात 9.53 पर अंबाला पहुंचेगी। रात 9.55 पर यह ट्रेन अंबाला से प्रस्थान करेगी और रात 10.35 बजे चंडीगढ़ पहुंचेगी।
