भोपाल. भोपाल रेलवे स्टेशन के छठवें प्लेटफॉर्म (ड्राइव इन प्लेटफॉर्म) के एंट्री गेट के बाहर ट्रैफिक व्यवस्था गड़बड़ होने से रविवार को जाम के हालात बने रहे। नई दिल्ली-भोपाल शताब्दी एक्सप्रेस के आने और जाने के वक्त यात्रियों को छोड़ने व लेने आए वाहनों की लंबी कतारें लग गईं। इस दौरान यहां ट्रैफिक पुलिस नदारद दिखी। प्लेटफॉर्म के पास भी वाहन चालकों ने जहां-तहां वाहन पार्क कर दिए।

शताब्दी एक्सप्रेस के इस प्लेटफॉर्म से चलने के एक हफ्ते बाद भी व्यवस्थाएं दुरुस्त नहीं हो सकी हैं। विशेषकर शनिवार व रविवार को हालात ज्यादा खराब हो रहे हैं। रविवार दोपहर 2 बजकर 5 मिनट पर जैसे ही शताब्दी एक्सप्रेस प्लेटफॉर्म नंबर छह पर पहुंची, वाहन चालकों में अफरा-तफरी मच गई। आरपीएफ व जीआरपी के कुछ जवान ट्रैफिक व्यवस्था संभालने का प्रयास करते रहे, लेकिन वाहन चालकों ने उनकी नहीं सुनी। अल्पना तिराहे के दूसरी ओर सड़क पर हिंदू उत्सव समिति के चुनाव होने के कारण ट्रैफिक वन-वे था। इस दौरान रेलवे स्टेशन के अंदर छठवें प्लेटफॉर्म तक पहुंचने के लिए कार में सवार यात्रियों को खासी मशक्कत करनी पड़ी।

एसी कोच से उतरे, धूप में तपे

छठवें प्लेटफॉर्म पर शताब्दी एक्सप्रेस के आने के बाद एसी कोच से उतरे यात्रियों को तेज धूप ने परेशान किया। प्लेटफॉर्म पर रेलवे ने फिलहाल चार शेल्टर (छोटे वेटिंग शेड), तीन टेंट और दो छोटे-छोटे छाते लगाए हैं। यात्रियों की संख्या को देखते हुए ये इंतजाम नाकाफी हैं। प्लेटफॉर्म पर पर्याप्त शेड नहीं होने से शताब्दी से आने और जाने वाले यात्री तेज धूप के कारण पसीने-पसीने होते रहे। शताब्दी से जाने के लिए तैयार यात्रियों का कहना है कि तेज धूप से सीधे एसी कोच में चढ़ना बीमारी को दावत देना है।

शताब्दी एक्सप्रेस की रवानगी के पहले एक निजी अस्पताल सहित कुछ यात्रियों के वाहन एंट्री से ही वापस निकले। साइड की पार्किग में कुछ वाहन ही नजर आए। कुछ लोगों ने तो वाहन प्लेटफॉर्म के पास ही पार्क कर दिए।

रेलवे ने यात्रियों के हित में ड्राइव-इन प्लेटफॉर्म की सुविधा दी है। फिलहाल वेटिंग शेड सहित पीने के पानी, चाय-कॉफी कोल्ड ड्रिंक आदि का एक स्टॉल प्लेटफॉर्म पर लगा दिया गया है।

रेल मंत्रालय द्वारा घोषित की गई नंगल डैम-नांदेड़ एक्सप्रेस के चालू होने की संभावना फिर से जाग उठी है। रेलवे सूत्रों पर अगर विश्वास करें तो उक्त गाड़ी 3 अक्टूबर वीरवार से शुरू होने जा रही है। इससे पहले गाड़ी को जुलाई माह में चालू किया जाना था, लेकिन कोच की कमी के कारण उक्त योजना सिरे नहीं चढ़ सकी। इसके साथ कालका से चलकर कटड़ा तक जाने वाली एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन भी आगे टाल दी गई। लेकिन, अब उक्त गाड़ी को भी 3 अक्टूबर को चलाया जा सकता है। अगर सब कुछ ठीक-ठाक रहा तो लोगों की लंबे समय से अधर में लटकी चली आ रही दो तख्तों को रेल मार्ग से जोड़ने की आस पूरी हो जाएगी।
कब हुई थी घोषणा
उक्त गाड़ियों को चलाने संबंधी घोषणा इस वर्ष के रेल बजट में तत्कालीन रेल मंत्री पवन बंसल द्वारा पहले ही कर दी गई थी, लेकिन उनकी कुर्सी के जाते ही घोषणा ठंडे बस्ते में चली गई थी। जिसकी वजह से आम लोग विशेषकर हिन्दुओं व सिख पंथ में गहरा रोष पाया जा रहा था। जबकि लोगों की उक्त मांग को सही समझते हुए दैनिक जागरण ने इसे कई बार विशेष कर 26 जून 2013 के अंक में प्रमुखता के साथ उठाया था।
क्या है समय सारिणी
रेलवे द्वारा जारी नई समय सारिणी के अनुसार सप्ताह में एक दिन नंगल डैम से चलकर आनंदपुर साहिब, रूपनगर, सरहिंद, अंबाला के रास्ते नांदेड़ साहिब तक जाने वाली 22457 नांदेड़ एक्सप्रेस नंगल डैम से शाम 4.20 बजे चल कर दूसरे दिन रात्रि 11.45 बजे नांदेड़ पहुंचा करेगी तथा नांदेड़ साहिब से 22458 नंबर की गाड़ी सुबह 11 बजे चलकर अगले दिन रात्रि 8.25 बजे नंगल डैम पहुंचा करेगी। इस गाड़ी के चलने से सिख पंथ के दो महान तीर्थ तख्त श्री केसगढ़ साहिब तथा नांदेड़ साहिब सीधा रेल मार्ग के साथ जुड़ जाएंगे।
इसी प्रकार सप्ताह में दो दिन कालका से चलकर कटड़ा तक जाने वाली 14503 व आने वाली 14504 नंबर की गाड़ी को रूपनगर जिले के न्यू मोरिंडा रेलवे स्टेशन पर दो मिनट का स्टाप दिया जा रहा है। उक्त गाड़ी कालका से शाम 7 बजे चलकर अगले दिन सुबह 4.45 बजे कटड़ा पहुंचा करेगी, जबकि कटड़ा से रात्रि 9.30 बजे चलकर अगले दिन सुबह 7.50 बजे कालका पहुंचा करेगी। इस गाड़ी के माध्यम से रूपनगर सहित मोहाली जिले के लोग माता वैष्णो देवी जी के दर्शनों को आसानी के साथ जा सकेंगे।
क्या कहते हैं अधिकारी
इस बारे जब नार्दन रेलवे के पीआरओ नेगी से बात की गई तो उन्होंने कहा कि टाइम टेबल तो जारी हो चुका है। दोनों गाड़ियां भी जरूर चलेंगी। उन्होंने कहा कि बड़ौदा हाउस में लगभग यह फाइनल हो चुका है कि दोनों गाड़ियां 3 अक्टूबर से चालू कर दी जाएं, लेकिन इस बारे विभाग के पास फिलहाल अधिकारिक सूचना नहीं आई है। लेकिन जब रेलवे के सरहिंद सेक्शन के यातायात निरीक्षक राजिंदर दत्त से बात की गई तो उन्होंने कहा कि रेल मंत्रालय ने गाड़ियां चलाने की घोषणा तो कर दी है, लेकिन पिछले दिनों ऊना हिमाचल प्रदेश में इस बात को लेकर प्रदर्शन हुआ था कि नांदेड़ एक्सप्रेस को नंगल की बजाए ऊना से चलाया जाए। उन्होंने बताया कि अब इस बात को लेकर विचार किया जा रहा है कि इस गाड़ी को ऊना की बजाए अंब अंदौरा से चलाया जाए तथा इसके साथ नंगल से ऊना तक के लिए एक अतिरिक्त पैसेंजर गाड़ी भी चालू की जाए। उन्होंने कहा कि रेलवे के विभिन्न विंग इस पर पूरी लगन से विचार कर रहे हैं तथा उम्मीद है कि 3 अक्टूबर से पहले इस पर फैसला हो जाएगा।

Narsapur-Nagarsol-Narsapur Express To Stop At Basar

South Central Railway will provide additional stoppage for Narsapur-Nagarsol-Narsapur Express at Basar.

Train No. 17213/17214 Narsapur-Nagarsol-Narsapur Express will be provided with additional stoppage for a minute at Basar. Accordingly, Train No. 17213 Narsapur-Nagarsol Express will arrive / depart Basar at 23 45 / 23 46 hrs with effect from 25th September, 2013.  In the return direction, Train No. 17214 Nagarsol-Narsapur Express will arrive / depart Basar at 19 30 / 19 31 hrs with effect from 26th September, 2013.

Notwithstanding the railways' "betrayal"to flag off an express train to Nanded in Maharashtra from Nangal, instead of Una, on October 3, hundreds of local residents led by Bharatiya Janata Party state unit president and MLA Satpal Singh Satti halted Himachal Express at Una Railway Station for around 10 minutes on Saturday night to register their protest.During his Budget speech, former railway minister Pawan Kumar Bansal had announced the express train between Una and Nanded - a city famous for a Sikh religious shrine. On the contrary, according to a new railways' timetable, the train will now run between Nangal in Punjab and Nanded from October 3. The train will elude the hill state and will terminate at Nangal, around 16 km from Una.Satti along with activists of the BJP, Una Jan Hit Morcha, Beopar Mandal, Sports Associations and other local social bodies squatted on the railway tracks around 8.50 pm - the scheduled departure of the train from Una to Delhi forcing to delay by 10 minutes. The train, however, left the station at 9 pm.Addressing the activists and passengers before the arrival of the train, Satti blamed the Center for delaying the completion of the 88-km-long Nangal-Una-Talwara broad gauge line project, the foundation stone for which was laid down around 60 years ago.He said there was lack of basic facilities like rain shed, canteen and toilet at the Una station while the reservation counter operated on a single shift basis.In addition, he said, electrification of the Una to Amb track was not done despite repeated assurances by several railway ministers, who kept on visiting Una for inaugurating Una, Chururu and Amb stations from time-to-time.Though the railways authorities were informed in advance about the Saturday's protest, but all they did was to send a junior official from Nangal along with a posse of policemen.The officer, however, assured Satti that he would pass on their demands in writing to his seniors at the divisional railways manager office in Ambala.   Satti warned the official that if the train had not been extended to Una, they would intensify the protest.

The blueprint for the proposed subways as part of the ambitious Sabari Rail project along the Angamaly-Kalady stretch has been finalised.

A final decision in this regard was taken at a recent meeting convened by District Collector P I Sheik Pareeth and the Railway authorities concerned with the project.

According to Railway officials, the subways have been planned at the Vaappalissery-Angamaly Road, Pirarur Road and Vaappalissery Canal Road. The roads, located on the Angamaly-Kalady stretch will be within the first reach of the Sabari rail project in the state.

Procedures for the construction of the underpasses will commence soon as they are necessary to facilitate road traffic on the route once the Sabari rail line is commissioned, officials pointed out. “Several stretches of the road on the route have been taken over for the construction of the railway line. It is in the Railways agenda to construct either subways or rail overbridges to compensate for the loss of area which is presently being used by the public for commuting. Since the construction of RoBs will require excessive funding, the Railways had opted for construction of subways,” officials said.

The district administration has already acquired the land required for the construction of the subways.

As per plan, the underpass at Vaappalissery will be built at a height of 5 metres, with a width of 4 metres, whereas at Piraroor, the underpass will be 5 metres wide and 3.9 metres high.

Along the Vaappalissery Container Road, the underpass will be built at a height of 4 metres and with a width of 3 metres. Earlier, the authorities had formulated a similar design for the construction of the underpass along the stretches.

However, based on the demands of the people’s representatives, it was decided to revise the original plan as the proposed height for the underpasses was comparatively low at 3.7 metres. It was argued that this, if implemented, would create traffic bottlenecks along the stretch.

Meanwhile, the district administration has already acquired 2.8578 hectares of land for the Sabari rail project at Angamaly village, 4.6307 hectares at Nedumbassery, 1.4027 hectares at Mattoor and 0.0236 hectare at Vadakkumbagom village.

Though land has been acquired for the project in several areas, the Railways plan to first complete the track-laying works along the Angamaly-Kalady route.

According to Railway officials, there are not sufficient funds to carry out further work and it is mandatory that the state government should contributes fifty per cent share of the funds for the project, which has put the entire project in the limbo.

Yet another issue plaguing the project is the people’s opposition in areas where residents will be displaced due to the land acquisition.

However, a few months ago, the state government had said that a new alignment has been approved for the Angamaly-Erumely Sabari railway line from Melappara to Erumeli, which will reduce the overall distance by 20 km and significantly reduce the number of houses and shops which will have to be demolished for the purpose.

Western Railway Introdues Weekly Express between Okha & Nathdwara


For the convenience of the passengers, Western Railway has decided to introduce a Weekly Express train between Okha and Nathdwara. The introductory service of Train no 09575 Okha-Nathdwara Express will depart from Okha at 16.30 hrs o­n 24th September, 2013. It will reach Nathdwara at 17.20 hrs the next day. The introductory service of Train no 09576 Nathdwara-Okha Express will depart from Nathdwara at 08.30 hrs o­n 26thSeptember, 2013. It will reach Okhaat 07.30 hrs the next day.

 

On its regular run, Train No.19575 Okha-Nathdwara Weekly Express will leave Okha o­n every Saturday at 07.15 hrs to reach Nathdwara the next day at 05.50 hrs from 28th September, 2013. Similarly, in return direction, Train No.19576 Nathdwara-Okha Weekly Express will depart from Nathdwara o­n everySundayat 21.40hrs and arrive Okhaat21.10 hrs thenext dayfrom 29thSeptember,2013 .


The train will have AC II, AC III, Sleeper class and II class general coaches.



This train will halt at Dwarka, Khambhaliya, Jamnagar, Hapa, Rajkot, Wankaner,Surendranagar, Ahmedabad, Nadiad, Anand, Vadodara, Dahod,Ratlam, Mandsor, Nimach, Chittaurgarh and Mavli Jn. stations in both directions.



Booking for Inaugural run of Train no. 09575 will be o­n 24/09/2013 and for regular Train 19575 will be from 25/09/2013.

HUBLI: Eastern Coast Railway (ECOR) has decided to run super fast AC weekly express special trains between Bhubaneshwar-Yeshwantpur-Bhubaneshwar (02845/02846) for 10 trips in each direction, for clearance of traffic during the forthcoming puja holidays.

Accordingly, train number 02845 will depart from Bhubaneshwar at 07-45 hours on Wednesdays, with effect from September 25 to November 27 (total : 10 specials) and arrives at Yeshwantpur at 12-10 hrs on Thursdays.

In the return direction, train number 02846 will depart from Yeshwantpur at 23-30 hrs on Thursdays, with effect from September 26 to November 28 and arrive at Bhubaneshwar at 03-30 hrs on Saturdays.

The line block for track-relaying work between Tiruchi and Thanjavur enforced on Tuesdays and Wednesdays since June 25 has been extended to October 2. Consequently, some trains have been fully cancelled while some others have been partially cancelled, Southern Railway has announced.
