आनंदपुर साहिब से नांदेड़ तक चलने वाली रेल गाड़ी 31 मार्च से शुरू कर दी जाएगी। इस ट्रेन के चलने से दो तख्त आपस में जुड़ जाएंगे। यह बात बुधवार को रेलवे के सीसीएम एनआर डीएम दिल्ली दिनेश प्रसाद ने कही। वह तख्ती श्री केसगढ़ साहिब में माथा टेकने आए थे। उन्होंने कहा कि वह आनंदपुर साहिब तथा नंगल के रेलवे प्रोजेक्टों का निरीक्षण करने आए थे। जो कि भनूपली से बिलासपुर तक रेलवे प्रोजेक्ट बनाया जा रहा है वह फंड बंद हुआ है। उन्होंने कहा कि नगंल-आनंदपुर साहिब से नांदेड़ साहिब तक दो तख्त को जोड़ने वाली रेलगाड़ी 31 मार्च से शुरू हो जाएगी।
बीते कई दशकों से बंद चल रहे खरोटा रेलवे फाटक को खोलने की बात करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश सरकार और जिला प्रशासन लिखित भेजें तो हम कारवाई करेंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि हमारी कोशिश रहती है कि ज्यादा से ज्यादा ओवर ब्रिज बने और लोगों की मुश्किलों का हल हो। इस मौके पर हरदेव सिंह हैपी, सुरजीत सिंह फौजी, स्टेशन मास्टर त्रिलोचन सिंह, मनोज राणा आदि मौजूद थे।

The following special trains will be run to clear the extra rush of passengers during Onam Festival season.

Nagercoil - Mangalore Jn. – Nagercoil specials: T.No.06306 Nagercoil – Mangalore Jn. Special will leave Nagercoil at 21.05 hrs. on 13.09.2013 and arrive Mangalore Jn. at12.30 hrs. the next day.

In the return direction, T.No.06305 Mangalore Jn. – Nagercoil Special will leave Mangalore Jn. at 13.35 hrs. on 14.09.2013 and arrive Nagercoil at 04.45 hrs. the next day.
The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 3-tier, 6 Second Class Chair Car,6 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains will stop at Eraniel, Kulitturai, Neyyatinkara, Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kayankulam, Mavelikara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrisur, Shoranur Jn., Kuttipuram, Tirur, Kozhikkode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad and Kasaragod.

Union Minister of Tribal Affairs V K Deo's demand to shift East Coast Zonal Headquarters (ECoR) of the Railways from here to Vishakhapatanam sparked protests in Odisha with the ruling BJD announcing agitations and BJP criticizing it today.

Deo in a recent letter to A K Antony headed committee, which is looking into the demand for a zonal headquarters of Indian Rails, has suggested to shift the headquarters of ECoR to Vishakhapatnam.

The union minister while speaking to a local TV channel yesterday argued that Vishakhapatnam was situated at the Centre of the east coast between Kolkata and Chennai.

Deo also suggested that the South Eastern Zonal Railway Headquarters should be shifted from Kolkata to Bhubaneswar as "by no stretch of imagination can Kolkata be said to be any part of the South Eastern region."

Terming Deo's statement as a conspiracy against Odisha, Finance Minister Prasanna Acharya today said "I can't understand what the need for such a proposal is. We strongly condemn it and we'll raise voice if the Centre moves ahead with the idea."

BJD Youth Wing President Sanjay Dasburma announced that the party workers and supporters would hold peaceful one-hour agitation before all railway stations in the state on September 12, 13 and 14. "The people of Odisha will not tolerate such an idea of Deo as they have got the ECoR after a long struggle," he said.

"This is a conspiracy of the BJD and the Congress who have a tacit understanding to raise frivolous issues to divert people's attention from serious matters," a release issued by the state BJP said

सीनी : एक ओर जहां रेल प्रशासन यात्रियों की तरह-तरह सुविधाओं की घोषणा करता है, वहीं दक्षिण पूर्व रेलवे के महत्वपूर्ण स्टेशन सीनी में दिन-प्रतिदिन समस्याओं का अंबार बढ़ता ही जा रहा है। यात्रियों की सुविधा इन समस्याओं के आगे सिमटने लगी है।
विदित हो कि सीनी जिला मुख्यालय का निकटतम स्टेशन है, जहां दर्जनों एक्सप्रेस एवं यात्री गाडि़यों का ठहराव होता है और प्रतिदिन हजारों यात्रियों का समागम होता है। स्टेशन में औसतन प्रतिदिन 40 हजार रुपये के टिकट की बिक्री होती है। सीनी स्टेशन में कई तरह की समस्याएं हैं। यहां बुजुर्ग एवं निश्शक्त यात्रियों के लिए किसी तरह की कोई सुविधा नहीं है। यात्रियों को ऊंची सीढ़ी चढ़कर स्टेशन के प्लेटफार्म नंबर एक व दो को जाना पड़ता है। सुविधाओं के अभाव में अनेक बुजुर्ग व निश्शक्त यात्री जमशेदपुर जाकर रेल यात्रा करते हैं। सीनी स्टेशन में टिकट काउंटर व आरक्षण केंद्र स्टेशन के अंदर है, जबकि नियमत: स्टेशन के बाहर होना चाहिए क्योंकि प्लेटफार्म पर जाने के लिए टिकट की आवश्यकता होती है। पूछताछ की खिड़की नहीं है, जिसकी वजह से यात्रियों को ट्रेन आवागमन की सही सूचना नहीं मिल पाती है। यात्री शेड भी छोटा है, जिस वजह से बरसात या गर्मी में यात्रियों को रेल यात्रा में कई तरह की कठिनाइयां होती हैं। यहां एक भी सफाईकर्मी नहीं है। स्टेशन अधीक्षक अपनी जेब से पैसे खर्च कर दो-तीन दिन में एक बार बाहर से सफाई कर्मी लाकर स्टेशन परिसर की साफ-सफाई कराते हैं। अनुबंध समाप्त हो जाने के बाद रेल प्रशासन की ओर से अब तक साफ-सफाई की कोई व्यवस्था नहीं की गयी है। यहां ग्रुप डी के तीन स्वीकृत पद हैं पर वर्षो से रिक्त पड़े हैं। स्टेशन में फास्ट फूड का कोई स्टाल नहीं है। स्टाल के न रहने से यात्रियों को परेशानी होती है। लोगों का मानना है कि अगर स्टेशन में यात्री सुविधा मुहैया कराई जाए तो न केवल स्थानीय रेल यात्रियों को सुविधा होगी बल्कि रेल प्रशासन की आय भी बढ़ेगी।

Stepping up efforts for generating Rs.1,000 crore revenue from railway land, Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) has concretised an action plan to develop 75 multi-functional complex (MFC) sites in the current fiscal.

RLDA is holding a pre-bid conference at Hyderabad on Thursday to invite bids for commercial development of MFCs at eight stations in cities of tourist and religious interest in Andhra Pradesh -- Dharmavaram, Karimnagar, Kurnool, Nellore, Nizamabad, Vijayawada, Zahirabad and Kacheguda. Prominent bidders and developers from retail and hotel chain industries have expressed their keen interest to attend the pre-bid conference, said an official.

RLDA is a statutory authority established by Railway Ministry for generating non-tariff revenue from railway land.MFC projects offers passengers various facilities such as shopping, food stalls, restaurants, book stalls, ATMs, stores, budget hotels, etc., said the official. - PTI

Northern Railwayon Wednesday launched Legal Information Management and Briefing System, (LIMS) a web-based portal, for effective monitoring and management of court cases of the zone here.Developed in-house, the system will facilitate monitoring disposal of pending legal cases online through a customized web portal.The system is envisaged to assist in managing, monitoring and briefing of the court cases of Northern Railway filed in various courts and forums in the jurisdiction of zonal railway, said a senior Northern Railway official.Through multi-faceted features, LIMS provides all related information of cases for a holistic legal perspective.One of the significant enabling features of the system is that it provides SMS alerts to concerned officers on notable orders of the court cases for prompt action and also enables the facility to know interim orders, the official said.Through this common platform, a single database can be accessed by authorized users in zonal headquarters or units and workshops of Northern Railway.The system provides online database of court cases, special emphasis on contempt cases, close monitoring of current month cases, court-wise summary, status-wise monitoring and generation of reports at different levels of the hierarchy.The web-based portal also provides hyperlinks to the websites of the apex and subordinate courts, Central Administrative Tribunal, Consumer Forums and Railway Claims Tribunals.

GUWAHATI, Sept 11 – The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) today said it has started running 76 trips by four weekly special trains to Chennai, Chandigarh, Varanasi and Yesvantpur to clear the extra rush of passengers during the upcoming Puja festive season.
The 02508 will depart from Kamakhya to Chennai every Monday at 2 pm between September 9 and November 25, while the 02507 will leave from Chennai to Kamakhya every Thursday at 11 am between September 12 and November 28.

The train will stop at Bongaigaon, New Jalpaiguri, Malda Town, Rampurhat, Asansol, Khurda Road, Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada and will be composed of one AC-2 tier coach, one AC-3 tier coach, seven sleepers, four general second class and two SLR/SLRD coaches.

The 05903 will depart from Dibrugarh to Chandigarh every Friday 8.40 am between October 11 to November 29, while the 05904 will depart from Chandigarh to Dibrugarh every Sunday 11.15 pm between October 13 and December 1.

It will halt at New Tinsukia, Dimapur, Lumding, Guwahati, new Jalpaiguri, Katihar, Muzaffarpur and Lucknow among other stations and will consist of one AC-2 tier coach, one AC-3 tier, nine sleepers, four general second class and two SLR/SLRD coaches.

The 02552 from Kamakhya will depart every Wednesday at 2 pm to Yesvantpur between October 2 and November 27. The 02551 will leave from Yesvantpur for Kamakhya every Saturday at 8.30 am between October 5 and November 30.

The train will stop at Rangia, New Jalpaiguri, Malda Town, Asansol, Bhubaneshwar, Vizianagaram, Vijayawada Junction and Chennai Central and it will consist of one AC first class coach, besides one AC-2 tier, one AC-3 tier, six sleepers, six general second class and two GSLR coaches.

The 05653 will depart from Guwahati to Varanasi every Saturday at 4.45 pm between October 5 and November 30, while the 05652 will leave from Varanasi to Guwahati every Sunday at 9.05 pm between October 6 and December 1.

The Guwahati-Varanasi Weekly Special will go via Rangia, New Bongaigaon, New Alipurduar, New Jalpaiguri, Katihar, Begusarai, Patna and Mughalsarai. There will be one AC-2 tier, one AC-3 tier, 14 sleepers, four general second class and two SLR/SLRD coaches in the train.
