NAGPUR: City MP Vilas Muttemwar on Saturday met a senior South East Central Railway (SECR) official at Motibagh Diesel shed in order to support the SECR Men's Congress, which is against the transfer of employees to Nainpur in Madhya Pradesh.SECR is in the process of converting narrow gauge lines into broad gauge in the division. As a result, the workload will increase at Nainpur station.Explaining the reason for his involvement, Muttemwar said, "The demand is justified. The staff is already settled here and will face a lot of problems if transferred, especially to another state. The employees should be engaged in other works here itself."P Laxminarayan, divisional coordinator of SECR Men's Congress, said, "Muttemwar met senior divisional mechanical engineer (SrDME), (diesel) BK Rath. We do not want a single employee to get transferred. At the most, we can accept the move if the employees are sent on travelling allowance (TA) basis."

Justifying their opposition, he added that the employees have school going children and change in boards could prove to be difficult for them.

The organization also feels that staff from particular region should be deployed at stations in that area only. Another suggestion was regarding commissioning apprentices who have completed their training. In fact, this also come up from the apprentices themselves.

"We are young and don't have family responsibilities. We are sitting idle after completing our training. Why not commission us at Nainpur instead of forcing employees who do not want to go?" said an apprentice.

He added that about 100 apprentices, starting from the 2009 batch to the current lot, are waiting to be inducted into service. "There are reports that about 125 transfer have been already issued," he said

Laxminarayan too agreed that apprentices should be transferred to Nainpur. Muttemwar also supported the idea and said the Railways itself might come up with such a solution. "I will take up the issue with the railway minister," he said.

Railway officials confirmed that the issue has been discussed and this could be the first step towards finding a solution.

South Central Railway Releases “Southern Zone Time Table” and “MMTS Pocket Time Table”, July-2013 Issues

The release of new Railway Time Table every year is an event, eagerly awaited by the travelling Public.  Shri D.P. Pande, General Manager, South Central Railway released the Southern Zone Time Table today ie, o­n 29th June, 2013 at a Press Conference held at Rail Nilayam. The Southern Zone Time Table - 2013, which is got designed and printed by South Central Railway will come into force from 1st July, 2013. This time table provides detailed timings o­n all the train services run o­n South Central Railway, Southern Railway, South Western Railway and Konkan Railway and also contains useful information o­n a host of other issues related to Rail services.
        This time table can serve as a o­ne-stop guide for all the information needs of rail passengers in planning their journey.The copies of this new Time Table will be made available for sale to the Public at Railway Stations within a week.This new Time Table offers much cheer for the Passengers of South Central Railway. SCR has got a good number of new trains this year also continuing the trend of getting a large chunk of new trains announced in Rail Budgets in recent years. While a staggering number of 51 new trains - 31 originating and 20 passing through - were introduced o­n SCR in the last 2 years, 25 more new trains - 14 originating and 11 passing through - were allotted to us in the recent Rail Budget in February last.
          There are several firsts in this time table, new connections from important passenger hubs o­n SCR to various popular destinations for the first time fulfilling the rail travel needs of the passengers o­n these routes. Some of them include new express trains from Kacheguda to Mangalore; Tirupati to Puducherri; Kakinada to Mumbai; Guntur to Shirdi; Nizamabad to Mumbai; Nanded to Nangaldam and Visakhapatnam to Gandhidham via SCR etc.
          SCR has already started operation of new trainswith the flagging off of 2 new trains from Kurnool City - to Secunderabad and Nandyal - by Shri Kotla Jaya Surya Prakash Reddy, Hon'ble Minister of State for Railways,on 25th June, 2013. The remainingtrains will be introduced in a phased manner in the current Financial Year.
          Apart from new train services, this time table features the extension of 10 trains, increase in frequency of 8 trains and diversion of o­ne train over SCR.10 Trains have been speeded up by reducing their travel time ranging from 10 minutes to 33 minutes. Change of terminal effected for two express trains from Hyderabad to Secunderabad.Additional stoppages have been provided for three express trains at 11 stations. There will be change in timings for 24 trains at various stations. All the details are attached                           
Shri D.P. Pande released the “MMTS - Cum - Local Trains Pocket Time Table - July 2013” issue also o­n the occasion for the benefit of travelling public in twin cities. An attractive multi-colour booklet of pocket size, which can be carried along with conveniently, this time table can serve as a ready reference/travel guide to local rail commuters. This time table contains schedules of MMTS / local train services and other useful information such as system map, fare tables, list of colonies near to each MMTS station, tips for safe journey and public awareness campaign material etc. This valuable issue is priced at a nominal ` 5/-only. The General Manager, SCR expressed hope that  these new time tables will meet the requirement of the public in getting comprehensive information o­n the schedules and other requisite data related to Rail services.
On this occasion, he said that, SCR has consistently been moving ahead o­n a path of high growth. SCR loaded more than 110 million tons of freight and carried around 387 millions of originating passengers, with an earnings of more than Rs.10,000 Cr. during last year. Keeping in view the potential for further growth of traffic and in response to the requirements of public of this region, SCR is committed to expand its network and services with focus o­n delivering a qualitative service to its customers, he added.

  Safety, Security, Punctuality, Cleanliness and providing modern facilities to passengers are the top priority areas for SCR.  It is the earnest resolve of SCR to make the services passenger friendly and the rail journey comfortable.  He narrated the various recent initiatives taken by SCR in this direction. SCR moves forward with focus o­n continuous system improvements and innovations for enhanced utilization of its resources to meet the surge in expectations of the Public, the General Manager Said.

रेलवे ने बढ़ाया कमाई का जरिया

-बंद, आंदोलन व बाढ़ में ट्रेन निरस्त हुई तो भरना होगा टीडीआर

जागरण संवाददाता, लखनऊ : रेलवे की माली हालत को देखते हुए रेलवे बोर्ड ने कमाई के कई और तरीके खोज लिए हैं। इन तरीकों में एक जुलाई से लागू हो रही टिकट निरस्तीकरण संबंधी समय सीमा कम करने की कवायद भी शामिल है। इसके तहत अगर यात्री अचानक यात्रा निरस्त करता है तो उसे टिकट मूल्य की पचास फीसद राशि गंवानी पड़ेगी।

इनसेट

इस तरह से होगी कटौती

-अगर यात्री कंफर्म टिकट को 48 घंटे या फिर ट्रेन चलने के छह घंटे पहले तक निरस्त कराता है तो 25 फीसद टिकट मूल्य की राशि कटेगी

-ट्रेन छूटने से छह घंटे पहले या फिर ट्रेन छूटने के दो घंटे तक कंफर्म टिकट निरस्त कराने पर पचास फीसद राशि कटेगी ।

- ट्रेन छूटने के दो घंटे बाद कंफर्म टिकट के मूल्य का पैसा नहीं दिया जाएगा।

- ट्रेन छूटने के तीन घंटे तक सिर्फ निरस्तीकरण चार्ज कटेगा। वहीं तीन घंटे बाद कोई राशि वापस नहीं की जाएगी।

-ट्रेन प्रस्थान समय से तीन घंटे से अधिक लेट होने पर टिकट मूल्य पूरा वापस किया जाएगा।

- ट्रेन का रूट बदला जाता है, बाढ़, आंदोलन, विद्रोह होने पर टिकट मूल्य 72 घंटे तक वापस किया जाने का प्रावधान है

- यात्री को अपनी ट्रेन की तिथि, श्रेणी व ट्रेन नंबर बदलना है तो यात्री को ट्रेन चलने से 48 घंटे पहले सूचित करना होगा। हालांकि, गंतव्य स्थान नहीं बदला जाएगा।

डुप्लीकेट टिकट बनवाने के लिए चुकाना होगा अधिक मूल्य

डुप्लीकेट टिकट बनवाने के लिए अब तक सभी श्रेणियों के यात्रियों को प्रार्थना पत्र व आइडी प्रूफ के साथ बीस रुपये शुल्क के रूप में देने होते थे लेकिन अब स्लीपर श्रेणी के यात्रियों को बीस रुपये के स्थान पर प्रति यात्री पचास रुपये चुकाने होंगे। इसी तरह थर्ड एसी, सेकेंड एसी व फ‌र्स्ट एसी के यात्रियों को सौ रुपये डुप्लीकेट टिकट बनवाने के लिए चुकाना होगा।

आज से बदले समय से चलेंगी ट्रेनें

रेलवे ने एक जुलाई से कई ट्रेनों की समय सारिणी बदल दी है। लखनऊ से चलने व गुजरने वाली कुशीनगर एक्सप्रेस, फैजाबाद दिल्ली एक्सप्रेस, शहीद एक्सप्रेस, जनसाधारण एक्सप्रेस, प्रतापगढ़-भोपाल एक्सप्रेस सहित पांच दर्जन से अधिक ट्रेनों के संचालन में एक से तीन मिनट का अंतर आया है। जबकि लखनऊ मेल, पुष्पक एक्सप्रेस व स्वर्ण शताब्दी जैसी ट्रेनों के समय में कोई परिवर्तन नहीं किया गया है।

BANIHAL: Mohammad Sultan's 30-year-old dream came to fruition, when Prime Minister Manmohan Singh flagged off the train between this highway town in Jammu region to Qazigund in Kashmir.

80-year-old Sultan, whose wrinkled face bears testimony to his hard life, was among hundreds of eager residents of Banihal who had assembled at the railway station way before the scheduled time for the first passenger train to chug towards Qazigund from here.

"The first time I heard that there is a possibility of a train coming to our town was back in 1983. I thought, if the tracks could be extended from Jammu to Udhampur, why not up to Banihal," Sultan told PTI during his journey to Qazigund.

The Prime Minister, accompanied by UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and host of other dignitaries including Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, inaugurated the 18-km long Banihal-Qazigund rail section last Wednesday. The rail link will provide an all-weather connectivity between Banihal and Qazigund.

The octogenarian said he had lost hope of ever stepping on a train, as the project was getting delayed.

"At my age, hopes are not fulfilled very often. But, I kept hoping that one day I will board a train here," he said.

It was not the first travel to Kashmir for Sultan, but as he puts it, "this is royal-class".

"Whenever we would step out of Banihal, we had to look skyward for impending weather changes. While winters are harsh due to snowfall, summers can get tricky owing to landslides triggered by rains. One was sure of leaving the town but not about the date of return," he said.

Sultan is happy that travel to Kashmir will be a lot safer now than the treacherous bus journey

इंदौर. अब जहाज या एरोप्लेन की तरह ट्रेनों में भी कैप्टन रहेगा। वह यात्रियों के प्रति पूरी तरह जवाबदार होगा। ट्रेन में कैटरिंग, पानी, सुरक्षा जैसी हर सुविधा के लिए जिम्मेदार होगा। यह व्यवस्था जल्द ही लागू होने वाली है। कैप्टन का मोबाइल नंबर रिजर्वेशन चार्ट पर मौजूद रहेगा। कोई भी परेशानी होने पर यात्री उसे सीधे फोन लगा सकेंगे। कैप्टन की दांयीं बांह पर एक विशेष पट्टी लगी होगी। इस पर ट्रेन कैप्टन लिखा होगा। फिलहाल राजधानी एक्सप्रेस में ट्रेन सुपरिटेंडेंट की व्यवस्था है। लेकिन उनके अधिकार सीमित हैं। रेलवे बोर्ड के कार्यकारी निदेशक ए. मधुकुमार रेड्डी ने सभी रेलवे जोनल कार्यालयों से नई व्यवस्था पर रिपोर्ट मांगी है। बोर्ड के जनसंपर्क विभाग ने इसकी पुष्टि की है।

सफाई से लेकर टीटीई का व्यवहार तक जांचेगा
-कैप्टन को ट्रेन मैनेजर के रूप में दायित्व सौंपे जाएंगे। ञ्चयह कमर्शियल विभाग का कोई अधिकारी या सबसे वरिष्ठ टीटीई होगा।

-यात्रा के दौरान कैप्टन सभी कोचों की सफाई व्यवस्था का निरीक्षण कर यात्रियों से फीडबैक लेगा।

-इसके अलावा एसी, पंखा, पानी और सुरक्षा के इंतजाम देखेगा। खाने की क्वालिटी और रेट पर भी निगरानी रखेगा।

-टीटीई की अवैध वसूली और खराब व्यवहार की शिकायत भी तुरंत मोबाइल पर की जा सकेगी।

नकोदर, फिरोजपुर और पठानकोट रूट पर डीएमयू में चलने वाले यात्रियों को अगले पंद्रह दिन और भीड़भाड़ झेलनी होगी। इन रूट पर चलने वाली डीएमयू में कोच बढ़ाने की मांग उठने के बाद दैनिक भास्कर ने यह पड़ताल की कि आखिर रेलवे यात्रियों की समस्या पर गौर क्यों नहीं कर रहा। पता चला है कि डिवीजन में डीएमयू के पावर इंजन की शॉर्टेज है।

एक पावर इंजन कोच तीन ही डिब्बे खींच सकता है। डिवीजन में डिब्बे तो पर्याप्त हैं, लेकिन पावर इंजन के लिए डिमांड भेजी गई है। साउथ ईस्टर्न रेलवे की ओर से पावर कोच जालंधर भेजा रहा है। दो पावर कोच के साथ चार डिब्बे भी आ रहे हैं। यही नहीं, डीएमयू शेड ने सीएमओ को डीएमयू को डीजल इंजन लगाकर चलाने का भी प्रस्ताव दिया है।

तीन रूट पर ज्यादा समस्या

पठानकोट, नकोदर ट्रैक पर केवल तीन कोच वाली डीएमयू चलाई जा रही है। जिसके चलते यात्रियों को काफी परेशानी का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। नकोदर रूट पर तो लोगों ने शुक्रवार को प्रदर्शन भी किया था। पठानकोट जाने वाली एक डीएमयू में छह कोच लगाए जा सकते हैं। लेकिन अभी तीन ही लगे हैं। कारण पावर इंजन का न होना। फिरोजपुर जाने वाली सिक्स कोच डीएमयू की जगह थ्री कोच डीएमयू चलाई जा रही है।

फिरोजपुर रूट पर ज्यादा डीएमयू

जालंधर से फिरोजपुर सेक्शन में सबसे अधिक दस अप और डाउन की डीएमयू चलती है। जालंधर-होशियारपुर सेक्शन में नौ अप-डाउन डीएमयू चलती है। जालंधर जेजो सेक्शन में तीन अप-डाउन, जालंधर-पठानकोट सेक्शन में पांच अप-डाउन और जालंधर-नकोदर सेक्शन में चार अप-डान डीएमयू चलती है। जिनमें अक्सर भीड़ ही होती है।

जरूरत 40 पावर की, हैं सिर्फ 33
जालंधर के डीएमयू शेड में इस समय मात्र 33 पावर कोच है। जबकि जरूरत 40 पावर कोच की है। जब पावर कोच अधिक होते हैं तो डीएमयू के दोनों तरफ लगाकर अधिक डिब्बे लगा दिए जाते हैं। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि चारबाग वर्कशाप में भी सात पावर कोच को ओवरहॉलिंग के लिए भेजा गया है। वह भी 15 दिन के भीतर जालंधर पहुंच जाएंगे। तो समस्या का समाधान हो जाएगा।

अभी बाकी है सावन का मेला

होशियारपुर ट्रैक पर अभी तो तीन कोच की डीएमयू से काम चल जा रहा है, लेकिन अगले महीने सावन में जब चाले शुरू होंगे और माता चिंतपूर्णी के दर्शन के लिए लोग जत्थों में जाना शुरू करेंगे, तो भीड़ चरम पर पहुंच जाएगी। तब नौबत यह आ जाती है कि लोग ट्रेन की छतों पर सफर करते हैं। छह डिब्बे लगा दिए जाने पर भी जगह कम पड़ जाती है।

The South Western Railways have announced revised timetable for many of their trains. They have also notified the timetable for the new trains announced in the Railway Budget 2013, but dates for the commencement of the services are yet to be announced.

n Train nos 16565 / 16566 Yeshwantpur-Mangalore Weekly Express, train no 16565 will depart Yeshwantpur 11.45 pm on Sunday and arrive at Mangalore at 6.15 pm the next day.

n Train nos 17317 / 17318 Hubli-Lokamanya Tilak Terminus Weekly Express, train no 17317 will depart Hubli at 9.10 pm on Tuesday and arrive at Lokamanya Tilak Terminus at 3 pm the next day. In the return direction, train no 17318 will depart the Terminus at 4.40 pm on Wednesday and reach Hubli at 11 am the next day. 

n Train nos 17235 / 17236 Bangalore City-Nagercoil Daily Express, train no 17235 will depart Bangalore City at 5 pm and arrive at Nagercoil at 10.15 am the next day. In the return direction, train no 17236 will depart Nagercoil at 4.40 pm and reach Bangalore at 9.05 am the next day. En route, the Daily Express train will stop at Bangalore Cantonment, Hosur, Dharmapuri, Salem, Namakkal, Karur, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudunagar, Satur, Kovilpatti, Tirunelveli and Valliur.

nTrain nos 22683 / 22684 Yeshwantpur-Lucknow Weekly Express, train no 22684 will depart at Lucknow at 5.30 pm on Saturday and arrive at Yeshwantpur at 2 pm on Monday. In the return direction, train no 22683 will depart at Yeshwantpur at 11.40 pm on Monday and reach Lucknow at 7.40 pm on Wednesday. En route, the Weekly Express train will stop at Yelahanka, Hindupur, Dharmavaram, Ananthpur, Gooty, Dhone, Kurnool town, Gadwal, Mahabubnagar, Kacheguda, Malkajgiri, Kazipet, Ramagundam, Sirpurkagaznagar, Balharshah, Sewagram, Nagpur, Betul, Itarsi, Pipariya, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Allhabad, Pratapgarph, Amethi and Rae Bareli, in both the directions. 

n Train nos 16569 / 16570 Yeshwantpur-Kachegua Tri-Weekly Express,  train no 16569 will depart Yeshwantpur at 2.30 pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and arrive at Kacheguda at 4.30 am, the next day.

In the return direction, train no 16570 will depart Kacheguda at 2 pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and reach Yeshwantpur at 4.15 pm, the next day. En route, the Tri-Weekly Express train will stop at Yelahanka, Gauribiddanur, Hindupur, Dharmavaram, Ananthpur, Gooty, Dhone, Kurnool Town, Gadwal, Sriramnagar, Mahabubnagar, Jadcherla and Shadnagar, in both the directions.

n Train nos 66519 / 66520 Marikuppam-Bangalore City Passenger, train no 66519 will depart Marikuppam at 4.45 am (except Sundays) and arrive at Bangalore City at 7.30 am, the same day. In the return direction, train no 66520 will depart Bangalore City 8.15 pm and reach at Marikuppam at 10.30 pm the same night. En route, the train will stop at Bangalore Cantonment, Krishnarajapuram, Whitefield, Malur, Bangarpet Junction, BEML Nagar, Coromandal, Oorgaum and Champion.
