भोपाल। रेलवे प्रशासन ने लंबी वेटिंग को देखते हुए 09307/०९३०८ इंदौर-यशवंतपुर-इंदौर स्पेशल ट्रेन को 30 जुलाई तक बढ़ाने का निर्णय लिया है। यह गाड़ी आते-जाते वक्त भोपाल में हॉल्ट लेकर जाती है। इंदौर से यह गाड़ी 28 जुलाई तक और यशवंतपुर से 30 जुलाई तक चलाई जाएगी।


टे्रन नंबर 09307 इंदौर-यशवंतपुर स्पेशल 30 जून के अलावा 7, 14, 21 और 28 जुलाई को इंदौर से चलेगी। इसी तरह गाड़ी नंबर 09308 यशवंतपुर-इंदौर स्पेशल 2, 9, 16, 23 और 30 जुलाई को यशवंतपुर से चलाई जाएगी। इस गाड़ी में शनिवार से रिजर्वेशन मिलने लगेगा। इस गाड़ी का भोपाल आने का टाइम-टेबल इस प्रकार है।

दिल्ली की नांगलोई में पैसेंजर ट्रेन पर पथराव करने और रेलवे टै्रक पर प्रदर्शन करने से रोहतक-दिल्ली रेल मार्ग चार घंटे तक बाधित रहा। टै्रक पर ट्रेनों का संचालन नहीं होने के कारण यात्रियों को काफी परेशानीका सामना करना पड़ा। बाद में अधिकारियों ने प्रदर्शनकारियोंको कार्रवाई का आश्वासन देने के बाद टै्रक को चालू किया गया।
बृहस्पतिवार रात नांगलोई में स्थानीय लोगों और रेलवे यात्रियों के बीच खूनी संघर्ष होगया था, जिसमें आधा दर्जन से अधिकलोग घायल हो गए थे। इसी वारदात केविरोध में शुक्रवार को नांगलोई में कुछ लोगों ने रोहतक से सवा छहबजे चलने वाली पैसेंजर ट्रेन टीआर पर पथराव कर दिया। ट्रेन में सवार यात्रियों ने भी हंगामाखड़ा कर दिया, जिसके कारण स्थिति तनावपूर्ण हो गया। नांगलोई में उग्र स्थिति को देखते हुए दिल्लीकी तरफ जाने वाली सभी ट्रेनों को बहादुरगढ़, सांपला व रोहतक में ही रोक लिया गया। उससे यात्रियोंको काफी दिक्कतों का सामना करना पड़ा। सबसे ज्यादा परेशानी तो दिल्ली जाने वाले नौकरीपेशा लेागों को उठानी पड़ी। सुबह के वक्त दिल्ली की तरफ हजारों यात्री ट्रेनों में यात्रा करते हैं, लेकिन रेलवे टै्रक अवरुद्ध होने के कारण ट्रेनें दिल्ली नहीं पहुंच सकी। यात्री बीच के स्टेशनों में ही ट्रेनों में फंसे रहे। कई स्थानों पर ट्रेनोंमें सवार यात्रियों ने भी रोष प्रकट किया, लेकिन नांगलोई में स्थिति तनावपूर्ण होने के कारण रेलवे ने गाड़ियों को आगे नहंी बढ़ने दिया। सुबह दस बजे के बाद ही रेलवे टै्रक पर दोबारा से ट्रेनें दौड़ना शुरू हुई। इसके बाद ही यात्रियों ने राहत की सांस मिली।
ये ट्रेनें हुई प्रभावित
तिलकब्रिज जाने वाले पैसेंजर ट्रेन सुबह सवा छह बजे रोहतक स्टेशन से रवाना हुई। नांगलोई पहुंचने पर इसी ट्रेन पर वहां के स्थानीय लोगों ने पथराव शुरू कर दिया। जिसके कारण ट्रेन को वहीं पर रोकना पड़ा। सात बजकर 57 मिनट पर रवना हुई सिरसा एक्सप्रेस को सांपला रेलवे स्टेशन पर रोकना पड़ा। इसी तरह आठ बजे कर बीस मिनट पर चलने वाली पैसेंजर ट्रेन और नौ बजकर दस मिनट पर चलने वाली पैसेंजर ट्रेन को भी बीच के स्टेशन पर रोका गया था। हालांकि इस समय दिल्ली की तरफ से कोई ट्रेन नहीं होने के कारण टै्रक ज्यादा प्रभावित नहीं हो सका।
सड़क यातायात से रवना हुए यात्री
दिल्ली में नौकरीपेशा करने वाले यात्रियों ने अपने कार्यालयों में पहुंचने के लिए सड़क यातायात का सहारा लेना पड़ा। ट्रेनों में फंसे यात्री रोडवेज बसों व अन्य वाहनों से अपने गंतव्य की तरफ रवाना हुए। उधर, स्टेशन पर मौजूद यात्रियों को भी घंटों ट्रेनों का इंतजार करना पड़ा। स्टेशन पर पूछताछ केंद्र के बाहर यात्रियों की भीड़ जमा रही।
आरपीएफ व जीआरपी ने संभाला मोर्चा
नांगलोई में ट्रेन पर पथराव किए जाने की घटना को लेकर स्थिति बिगड़ गई थी। मामले की गंभीरता को देखते हुए आरपीएफ और जीआरपी कर्मियों ने मोर्चा संभालते हुए स्थिति पर कंट्रोल किया। आरपीएफ व जीआरपी थाना रोहतक से पुलिस बल नांगलोई पहुंचा, उधर दिल्ली आरपीएफ पुलिस फोर्स भी वहां पहुंच गई थी। इसके बाद ही प्रदर्शनकारियों को शांत कराया गया।
मामले की गंभीरता को देखते हुए रोकी ट्रेन
रोहतक स्टेशन के अधीक्षक बलवान सिंह मीणा से जब इस बारे में बातचीत की तो उन्होंने बताया कि नांगलोई में स्थानीय लोगों और यात्रियों के बीच बृहस्पतिवार रात को हुई झड़प के बाद शुक्रवार को पथराव कर दिया था। इस घटना की गंभीरता को देखते हुए ट्रेनों कोरोकना पड़ा। सुबह दस बजे के बाद ट्रेनों का दोबारा से संचालन शुरू कर दिया गया था।

Bangalore : As Indian railways entered its 160th year, southern western railway organized a photo exhibition showcasing rare moments of the railway journey and putting it on display in southern India's Bangalore city. The photographs were put on display after a careful selection and consideration from the archives of Indian railways, to treat the eyes of railway fans. More than 100 rare photographs were displayed in the exhibition, reviving the nostalgia of passengers with ancient trains, engine and political dignitaries like Mahatma Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi making their journeys. The photographs were divided into different varieties and according to the era. Meanwhile, railway authorities claimed that the exposition portrayed the journey of Indian railways. This exposition would be held all over India, educating people about the importance of the Indian railways. The photographs, which encompassed all the fundamental aspects of the railways, spoke of a long gone era, credited with enhancing the present.

जबलपुर. मंडल रेल प्रबंधक के मार्गदर्शन और वरि. मंडल वाणिज्य प्रबंधक के निर्देशन तथा सहायक वाणिज्य प्रबंधक के नेतृत्व जबलपुर मंडल के टिकट चेंकिग विभाग द्वारा जून माह में लगभग 46 हजार प्रकरण पकड़े गये जो कि आज तक का किसी भी वर्ष के किसी भी माह का सर्वाधिक आंकड़ा है. इन 46 हजार प्रकरणों से 2 करोड़ 26 लाख रूपये रिकार्ड जुर्माने के रूप में वसूला गया. टिकिट चेकिंग द्वारा न केवल 2 करोड का आंकडा पार किया बल्कि 13 जुलाई, 20 जुलाई,  26 जुलाई, 27 जुलाई एवं 28 जुलाई को तो सभी कीर्तिमान ध्वस्त करते हुए एक दिन में 10 लाख से अधिक आय अर्जित करने का रिकार्ड भी बनाया. इसी तारतम्य में 27 को 12 लाख 67 हजार रुपये जुर्माना वसूला गया जो कि पश्चिम मध्य रेल के किसी भी मंडल में सर्वश्रेष्ठ है.

स्मरण रहे कि गत् वर्ष 2012-13 में जून माह में 31.03 हजार प्रकरण पकड़े गये थे जिनसे 130.81 लाख रूपये जुर्माने के रूप में वसूले गये थे. जबकि वर्ष 2013-14 में रेलवे बोर्ड द्वारा जबलपुर मंडल को जून माह में 01 करोड 55 लाख रूपये का लक्ष्य दिया था. मंडल ने वरि. मंडल वाणिज्य प्रबंधक राजेश शर्मा के कुशल निर्देशन में न केवल लक्ष्य को प्राप्त किया बल्कि लक्ष्य से आगे बढ़ कर 61 लाख रूपये अधिक जुर्माना अर्जित किया.

Even as Coimbatore anxiously waits for the release of railway time table on July 1, uncertainty looms, especially in terms of the demand for re-routing nine pairs of trains via Coimbatore which are at present being operated via Irugur–Podanur –Irugur section.The new entries in the railway time table that might benefit Coimbatore are introduction of the Coimbatore–Rameswaram–Coimbatore weekly express with departure from Coimbatore on Fridays and departure from Rameswaram on Saturdays.

Demand

The demand was for a regular daily express train has been partially conceded with a weekly train service and even the exact date of commencement of service is yet to be notified.However, the persistent demand of the Coimbatore Railway Struggle Committee was for ending the neglect of Coimbatore by routing some of the trains that were skipping Coimbatore.As a fallout of the representations and agitations, of the 14 pairs of trains that skipped Coimbatore, five were re-routed enhancing the connectivity of Coimbatore with Chennai, Mangalore, Kerala and some upcountry destinations, added G.K. Nagaraj, convenor of the struggle committee.

The struggle committee was sore over Railways ignoring Coimbatore and continuing to run the trains on the Irugur – Podanur – Irugur line skipping Coimbatore despite the commissioning of the Coimbatore – Coimbatore North – Irugur second line at a cost of Rs. 60 crore after a two-decade-long wait, says MP and chairman of the struggle committee P.R. Natarajan.

Coimbatore was the second largest revenue earner for Southern Railway and is a gateway for Udhagamandalam and Kerala.

It also hosts a number of industries, educational institutions and hospitals and the traffic potential was growing in leaps and bounds day-by-day, pointed out R. Raveendran of struggle committee.

The issue of routing some more pair of trains was taken up with the General Manager of Southern Railway during his recent visit to Coimbatore and he promised to get some trains diverted if not all the trains.

This has renewed the hope, pointed out Jameel Ahmed, Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee member (DRUCC).

Contrary to expectations and promises, rail activist S. Ravi quoting sources pointed out that the only pair of train to be re-routed via Coimbatore will be train number 12654/53 Mangalore – Tiruchirapalli weekly express to be extended to Puducherry as announced in the railway budget.

There are nine pairs of trains from Thiruvananthapuram, Kochuveli, Mangalore and Kannur towards Chennai and Bangalore and the struggle committee had been asking for routing these trains via Coimbatore to enhance its connectivity and augment the availability of berths to ease pressure on road traffic, pointed out U.K. Sivagnanam, another member of DRUCC.

Despite not being a super fast express and with no risk of losing that fast tag, Railways was not showing any concern for routing the 16527/28 Yesvantpur – Kannur – Yesvantpur express via Coimbatore and passengers from Coimbatore find it hard to get berths for Bangalore and had to rely on omni buses compromising on safety besides exorbitant fare, Mr. Ravi pointed out.

The meagre benefits for Coimbatore would be the increase in frequency of Coimbatore Intercity Express from three days to four days a week, introduction of the Mangalore – Kacheguda – Mangalore bi-weekly express on Wednesdays and Sundays towards Kacheguda and on Tuesdays and Fridays towards Mangalore, besides Yesvantpur – Mangalore – Yesvantpur weekly express from Mangalore on Mondays and from Yesvantpur on Sundays.

Southern Railway (SR) has published the salient features of its timetable for 2013-14. It includes introduction of 2 new fully Airconditioned Superfast Expresses, 20 New Express trains, 7 passengers and MEMUs, 11 Extensions, 6 Frequency increases, some changes in timings and days of service, in addition to speeding up of several trains. Official Press Release from Southern Railway

The decision of the Thiruvananthapuram division to cut down 40 station master posts has been frozen.

According to sources, the decision was suspended by Rakesh Mishra, General Manager, Southern Railways on Friday.

The decision comes in the wake of agitations by the All-India Station Masters Association and the Southern Railways Mazdoor Union for the past two weeks ever since the order was passed by Thiruvananthapuram Divisional Railway Manager Rajesh Agarwal.

SAHARSA: Railway authorities are deeply concerned as with the monsoon getting vigorous day by day, the rail track near Fango railway halt on Saharsa-Mansi section under Samastipur division of East Central Railway (ECR) faces great erosion threat, which could snap the lifeline of the vast Kosi division.

The threat of erosion at 6,7,8 and 16th km of the rail track near Fango railway halt is steadily increasing keeping the railway authorities on their tenterhooks. As the water level of river Kosi, dubbed as the sorrow of Bihar, are showing an upward trend, the threat perception too has heightened, according to railway sources.

Divisional railway manager (DRM), Samastipur, Arun Malik, on Friday, said, "I am very much concerned about the rail track between Saharsa and Mansi, which is a true lifeline to the vast swathe of Kosi region." Though at the moment, the situation is "not very alarming" and all possible efforts are on to protect the rail track, he said. Anti-erosion measures are in full swing as boulder pitching and crating on the rail track is already in full blast, he said and hoped that these measures would adequately address the problem.

A reputed construction company, which is said to have the expertise and knowhow in respect of protecting the rail track, has been engaged and is going about the protection work. Besides, hosts of railway engineers are keeping a round the clock vigil, railway sources said. The 44-km-long Saharsa-Mansi rail route has a disconcerting record of facing threat of erosion by the Kosi. The surging waters of Kosi have a worrisome record of changing its course from time to time, railway sources say.

In 2011 and 2012, the Saharsa-Mansi rail track was under tremendous pressure at the same points near Fango railway halt, when some spurs were heavily eroded. War like efforts, which had persisted for days, had salvaged the situation and the all important lifeline was finally protected, railway sources recalled. A rail bridge could be a permanent solution, they suggested.

Meanwhile, overnight torrential rains in catchment areas and plains which continued till late in the day, resulted in swelling of the rivers like Mahananda and Kosi . Mahananda, which traverse through vast parts of Kishanganj, Katihar and partly Purnia districts, was flowing 65.22 metre a little below the danger mark of 66 metre at Taiyabpur ( Kishanganj) and 34.77 metre against the danger mark of 35.65 metre at Dengrahaghat (Purnia ) at 8 am on Friday.

The water discharge level of the Kosi surged to 1,30,670 cusec and 83,125 cusec at Kosi barrage at Bhimnagar near Birpur and Barahkhetra (Nepal) at 8 am on Friday, according to Central Water Commission (CWC) office in Purnia.
