Southern Railway has announced three special trains between Chennai-Mangalore, Nagercoil-Velankanni and Chennai-Nagercoil to clear the rush of passengers during Onam and Velankanni festival seasons.Chennai Central-Mangalore Junction spuerfast special would leave Chennai on September 14 and 29 at 9 PM and reach Mangalore at 12.45 PM the following day respectively, a Railway release said. The return trains would leave Mangalore at 2.45 pm on September 15 and 22 and reach Chennai at 7.45 the following day respectively, it said.
Nagercoil-Velankanni specials would leave Nagercoil at 2 PM on August 27 and reach Velankanni at 3 AM the following day, while the return train would leave Velankanni at 1 PM and arrive at Nagercoil at 2.45 AM, it said.

Chennai Central-Nagercoil specials would leave Chennai at 5.40 PM on September 7 and reach Nagercoil at 9.30 AM the following day, while the return train would leave Nagercoil at 1.20 PM on September 8 and would arrive at Chennai at 5 AM the following day, it added. "Advance reservation for the trains will commence on August 25," it said.

Commenting on the aforesaid development, Mr. Pradeep Jain, Chairman, Parsvnath Group, said: Consequent upon securing the bid for development of 38 acres (15.27 hectares) of railway land area situated at Sarai Rohilla-Kishanganj, Delhi from RLDA in November, 2010 for an aggregate value of Rs. 1651 Crores, the Company has so far made payments of three installments together with interest aggregating to Rs. 1161.46 Crores and has completed requisite formalities pursuant to which the aforesaid Development Agreement has been executed between RLDA and the SPV for development of the Project on 31st May, 2013. The Project involves re-development of railway housing and development of Luxury Air-conditioned Residential Apartments, Commercial/ Shopping areas, Railway Housing, Railway Service Building & Common facilities, Hospital/School and other amenities, State of the Art Club with Gymnasium and sports facilities, etc by the SPV. The Project site is located in the centre of Delhi and is at a distance of 10 minutes drive from Connaught Place, which is the Central Business District of New Delhi.

Mr. Jain further added that this Project will be a masterpiece of architecture which will offer a spectacular ambience that will resonate with resounding avenues of luxury air-conditioned Residential Apartments and commercial spaces with other infrastructural facilities and amenities and M/s. Callison LLC of USA has been appointed as Architect for the project in co-ordination with Architect Sikha & Associates.

प्रस ॥ नई दिल्ली : फेस्टिव सीजन और सर्दियों की छुट्टियों के दौरान ट्रेनों में उमड़ने वाली यात्रियों की भीड़ को मैनेज करने के लिए नॉर्दर्न रेलवे ने अभी से कमर कस ली है।

यात्रियों को किसी तरह की दिक्कत का सामना ना करना पड़े, इसके लिए एक नॉर्दर्न रेलवे ने ऐक्शन प्लान भी तैयार किया है। इसके तहत सबसे ज्यादा जोर इस बात पर दिया जाएगा कि यात्रियों को रिजर्वेशन कराते वक्त और टिकट खरीदते वक्त किसी तरह की दिक्कत ना हो और उन्हें दलालों के चंगुल में ना फंसना पड़े। दलालों पर रोक लगाने के लिए भी नॉर्दर्न रेलवे खास इंतजाम करेगा।

नॉर्दर्न रेलवे के प्रवक्ता ने बताया कि फेस्टिव सीजन के दौरान किए जा रहे इंतजामों की समीक्षा को लेकर शुक्रवार को नॉर्दर्न रेलवे के जनरल मैनेजर वी. के. गुप्ता ने सभी विभागों के प्रमुखों की एक मीटिंग बुलाई थी, जिसमें दुर्गा पूजा, छठ, दिवाली, दशहरा और क्रिसमस के दौरान ट्रेनों में और स्टेशनों पर उमड़ने वाले यात्रियों के रश को मैनेज करने के लिए बनाए गए ऐक्शन प्लान पर चर्चा हुई।
यात्रियों की सहूलियत के लिए नॉर्दर्न रेलवे जरूरत के अनुसार कई जगहों एक्स्ट्रा रिजर्वेशन काउंटर चलाएगा। साथ ही यह भी सुनिश्चित किया जाएगा कि यात्रियों को रिजर्वेशन फॉर्म लेने के लिए इधर उधर भटकना ना पड़े। काउंटर साइन के लिए रिजर्वेशन काउंटर के बाहर रविवार और छुट्टी के दिनों समेत सातों दिन अतिरिक्त स्टाफ तैनात किया जाएगा।

दलालों पर रोक लगाने के लिए अफसरों की स्पेशल स्क्वॉड भी बनाई जाएगी, जो जगह जगह जाकर सरप्राइज चेकिंग करेगी।

Betul:  Around 30-metre up line railway track in Magardoh-Barbatpur section under Central Railway, Nagpur Division was washed away early Friday morning due to heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh. The incident, a repeat of similar development near Sindi last month, has hit train movement on north-south route.

Due to washing away of track on up-line (Delhi to Nagpur), traffic was diverted on down line since 5.45am on Friday affecting train movement. Daily at least 30 up and down trains move on this route.

Pressure on single track has led to diversion of 4 express trains 12791 Secunderabad-Patna, 12625 Thiruvanathapuram-Delhi Kerala Express, 12269 Chennai-Nizamuddin and 12803 Vishakapattnam-Nizamuddin. The trains went via Badnera-Bhusawal-Itarsi on Friday evening. Freight train traffic too was diverted.

Diversion of trains led to sudden rush at Nagpur station and panic among passengers. Many passengers going to Delhi were accommodated in Chhattisgarh Express. “More trains are likely to be diverted if the track is not repaired by Saturday morning. Looking at the mishap site, it seems unlikely that the track, which is virtually hanging, will be restored by morning,” said officials.

DRM/NGP Mr.Brijesh Dixit along with senior officials rushed to the spot to monitor the operations. PRO PD Patil informed portion of the bridge’s foundation across Machna river caved in due to incessant rains. At least 15 sleepers were washed away in the flooded river while an overhead electric (OHE) pole was uprooted.

Over 170 workers are working to restore the track. Patil said 18 wagons with boulders, sand and other material have been transported to the mishap site. Besides, 80 such wagons have been kept ready. Passengers have been appealed to contact helpline (0712-2564343) for information.

A similar tragedy had struck the Central Railway in July when 500 metres of up and down tracks were washed away at Sindi Railway on Nagpur-Mumbai route. Officials said crisis is not so severe now as one track is open.

15097 अप भागलपुर-जम्मूतवी अमरनाथ एक्सप्रेस गुरुवार की रात 8.30 बजे भागलपुर के प्लेटफॉर्म नंबर एक से जम्मू के लिए रवाना हुई। पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री व भागलपुर के सांसद सैयद शाहनवाज हुसैन और बिहार के पूर्व स्वास्थ्य मंत्री व सदर विधायक अश्रि्वनी कुमार चौबे ने ट्रेन को हरी झंडी दिखाई। इस दौरान विधान पार्षद मनोज यादव व मालदा रेल मंडल के डीआरएम रवींद्र गुप्ता भी मौजूद थे। उद्घाटन समारोह के कारण गुरुवार को ट्रेन अपने निर्धारित समय से तीन घंटा 20 मिनट पहले रवाना हुई। 29 अगस्त से अमरनाथ एक्सप्रेस प्रत्येक गुरुवार को अपने तय समय रात 11.50 बजे भागलपुर से चलेगी।शाहनवाज ने कहा, जम्मू से भागलपुर को जोड़ने का काम पूरा हो गया है। जम्मू स्टेशन में भागलपुर का नाम भी दर्ज हो गया है। 24 कोच की इस ट्रेन के चलने से भागलपुर के लोग सीधे वैष्णो देवी के दर्शन को जा सकेंगे। इसके पहले यहां के लोगों को वाया दिल्ली वैष्णो देवी के दर्शन के जाना पड़ता था। उन्होंने कहा, इस ट्रेन से भागलपुर के लोग छपरा, सिवान, गोरखपुर, लखनऊ भी सीधे जा सकते हैं। यहां के लोगों का जुड़ाव इन जगहों से है। लोग गोरखनाथ के दर्शन को भी जा सकेंगे।

सांसद ने कहा, जिस समय अजमेर के लिए ट्रेन चली थी, उसी समय जम्मू के लिए ट्रेन चलाने की मांग भागलपुर की जनता ने की थी। उनकी मांग पूरी कर दी गई है। डीआरएम रवींद्र गुप्ता की तारीफ करते हुए उन्होंने कहा, वर्तमान समय में भागलपुर स्टेशन की तस्वीर बदल गई है। यहां सुविधाओं का विस्तार हुआ है।

पूर्व स्वास्थ्य मंत्री ने कहा, अभी अमरनाथ एक्सप्रेस साप्ताहिक है। अगली सरकार भाजपा की बनेगी, तब यह ट्रेन प्रतिदिन चलेगी। उन्होंने कहा, भागलपुर में डीआरएम कार्यालय भी बनेगा। उसके लिए संघर्ष किया जाएगा। उन्होंने रेलवे को भागलपुर के लोगों के साथ भेदभाव नहीं करने की अपील की। उन्होंने कहा, जितनी भी बोगियां खराब रहती हैं उन्हें मालदा रेल मंडल को सौंप दिया जाता है। ऐसा नहीं होना चाहिए। जनता को होने वाले कष्ट बर्दाश्त नहीं किया जाएगा।

विधान पार्षद मनोज यादव ने बांका से नई दिल्ली के बीच ट्रेन चलाने व बांका-राजेंद्रनगर इंटरसिटी में एसी टू लगाने की मांग डीआरएम से की। डीआरएम रवींद्र गुप्ता ने कहा, भागलपुर से चलने वाली गाड़ियों की संख्या में लगातार बढ़ोतरी हो रही है। मालदा रेल मंडल का भागलपुर पर विशेष ध्यान है। संसाधनों की कमी के बावजूद सुविधाओं में लगातार बढ़ोतरी की जा रही है। उन्होंने कहा, सांसद शाहनवाज हुसैन के प्रयास से भागलपुर से अमरनाथ एक्सप्रेस की सेवा शुरू हो सकी है। यह ट्रेन 1790 किलोमीटर की दूरी 37 घंटों में तय करेगी। इस दौरान कार्यक्रम में धन्यवाद ज्ञापन वरीय डीसीएम ने किया।

ALLAHABAD: A review meeting regarding the various ongoing projects of the North Central Railway was organised at NCR headquarters in Subedarganj on Friday.

Addressing the meeting, general manager of NCR Alok Johri observed that the progress of the ongoing projects compared to last year is better but there is need for accelerating the pace to complete the projects within the stipulated time frame work.

He laid stress on acceleration in implementing the ongoing work of automatic signalling of Allahabad-Mughalsarai and Aligarh-Ghaziabad sections. He also advised for preparing the plan for decongestion of station yard of Allahabad and Agra. Further, there is need for improvement in works relating to the stations of Subedarganj, Cheoki, Eidgah and Agra Fort stations, he said.

He also observed that works related to safety at the level crossings should be conducted on a priority basis and work on construction of 25 ROBs (Railway Overbridges) and 75 limited height subways should also be completed in this financial year.

He said, "The officers should undertake steps for the safety and security of the staff deputed at the work field. Better co-ordination between the different departments is also needed."

Participating in the meeting, principal chief engineer Satish Kumar instructed for preparation of the engineering scale plan for the projects of the next year.

Before start of the meeting, principal chief engineer Satish Kumar welcomed the general manager Alok Johri. During the meeting, works relating to construction department, IRPMU and open line were also discussed. During the meeting, all heads of departments, divisional railway managers of Allahabad, Agra and Jhansi divisions were present.

Patna: East Central Railway on Friday said the Digha-Sonepur rail-cum-road bridge will be completed by March 2015. Chief public relations officer, East Central Railway, Amitabh Prabhakar said of 36 spans, 21 have been completed and works on 22nd and 23rd spans was in progress. Prabhakar said the East Central Railway was working hardto complete the work in the stipulated time frame.

Members of the Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee, Hyderabad, have urged the the SCR to introduce new trains, change  timings of trains and create amenities for passengers.

These suggestions were made at the 53rd DRUCC meeting of Hyderabad division held at Hyderabad Bhavan under the chairmanship of divisional railway manager Rakesh Aron.  The members also sought installation of automatic ticket-vending machines at non-suburban stations, halts for some trains at certain stations,  improvement in cleanliness at stations and on trains, speeding up of trains on the Nizamabad-Bodhan line, longer working hours for PRS counters, enhancement of the security of physically-challenged passengers, etc.
