“Corruption should be eradicated from the family first. Home should be set right which will be followed accordingly. Self consciousness and transparency in dealings amongst the family members are the major values to prevent corruption from the society”, stated Shri Justice V. Gopala Gowda, Hon’ble Chief Justice of Orissa High Court while addressing the Vigilance Awareness Week-2012 at East Coast Railway Headquarters, Bhubaneswar, this evening.Addressing the staff and officers of East Coast Railway, Hon’ble Justice Shri Gopala Gowda urged upon Railway officers and staff to bring total transparency in their working for the benefit of the Rail users. Healthy mind and healthy society protect human values. Being a good human being with human feelings, “Corruption free” civil society will give peace and happiness and also help in better administration and good governance. He also appreciated the initiative taken by the vigilance department of ECoR in creating awareness through various competitions, exhibitions, and other means amongst the school children, Railway employees and General Public.Addressing the gathering Shri Indra Ghosh, General Manager, East Coast Railway appreciated the working of the vigilance department of ECoR and thanked for the initiatives taken in preventing corruption in Railways working.Vigilance organization of ECoR has been working hard to bring transparency, accountability, efficiency and positive discipline across the Railways stated, Shri Subrat Tripathy, Chief Vigilance Officer and SDGM of ECoR, while welcoming the guests.A colourful Vigilance Bulletin was also released by Hon’ble Chief Justice and General Manager, East Coast Railway to mark the occasion.Members of judiciary including other high level officers, Principal Heads of the Departments of ECoR and employees were present. |
