Western Railway has run more trains in the financial year 2016 – 17 in the most congested areas as well as in remote areas for the convenience of passengers. In a press release Western Railway has notified that 17 new trains have been introduced including 6 Mail/Express, 3 Superfast trains, 7 DEMU trains and 1 passenger train. Besides this destination of 5 trains were extended. As many as 4427 holiday special trains were run for the convenience of passengers and 9515 additional coaches were attached to various trains on temporary basis. Five LHB rakes have also been introduced thereby replacing conventional rakes. | ||
