Municipal Commissioner B. Ramanjaneyulu on Tuesday met Divisional Railway Manager Anil Kumar and discussed with him the issue of laying service roads near the DRM’s office.The Commissioner took up the issue of service road near the DRM’s office with Mr. Kumar’s predecessor N. Kashinath.When Mr. Ramanjaneyulu met the new DRM at his office, the latter wanted a new compound wall to be built before the existing one was demolished.The Commissioner handed over a demand draft for Rs.11.95 lakh towards design and estimate cost.A press release issued by GVMC said the hurdles in the BRTS corridor, widening the road at Gnanapuram, development of road in front of the railway station and toilets near the railway station were also discussed.The DRM wanted the GVMC to pay up the Rs.55 lakh towards manning charges at the Ramamurthypeta Pantulu road.Additional Commissioner K. Ramesh, Chief City Planner D. Venkataratnam and Railway Senior Divisional Manager (Coordination) Victor Joseph and Divisional Engineer K. Prabhakara Rao participated.
