MUMBAI: Good News for central railway commuters as they can now download or see the new suburban time-table on Central Railway for main line services on its website cr.indianrailways.gov.in

The new time-table came into effect on CR from October 15 onwards. A public relations officer from CR said, Clicking Scroll on the home page will download the desired PDF file.

As per the new time table, the total number of services on main line will increase from 785 to 803. The total peak hour services will increase from 165 to 170. The total fast services will increase from 206 to 233.

CR has introduced 16 fifteen-car service that will run only between Chattrapati Shivaji Terminus and Kalyan. All the 15-car services will run as fast local and will halt at Byculla, Dadar, Kurla, Ghatkopar, Mulund, Thane, Dombivli stations. There will be two new services from Thane to Badlapur and Ambarnath and one new service from Kurla to Titwala.

As per the new time-table the number of fast services has increased by almost 30 per cent. While doing this, CR also ensured that passengers traveling on the slow corridors are not short-changed. These semi-fast locals were beneficial for commuters of Kalva, Mumbra and Diva.

CR said that it has adequately compensated for the loss in 27 semi-fast services due to increase in fast services. Of the 18 new services to be introduced, 10 services of 12-car will run on the slow corridor between various destinations. It includes, two new services from Thane to Badlapur and Ambarnath and one new service from Kurla to Titwala.
