Two stone idols were found abandoned in one of the unreserved coaches of the Tirunelveli-Mayiladuthurai passenger train at Mayiladuthurai Junction on Sunday night.The idols were found inside a sack ducked under one of the single seats of a compartment.A Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable and a railway staff noticed the abandoned idols inside the sack while checking the coaches after passengers alighted from the train.One of the idols was of Lord Saneeswara , while the other was that of an Amman . The idols were brought to the RPF post at Mayiladuthurai and handed over to revenue officials, railway sources said. | ||
