Railway staff detected two more man-made attempt to derail train according to a latest revelation by railway officials. There were man-made obstructions that were discovered in Malda and Dhanbad division; thanks to alert railway staff that detected the obstruction thereby averting accidents. Between Koderma and Mahespur, a loco pilot of passenger trains saw fishplates missing. The region comes under Nawalshahi police stations. The train driver immediately stopped the train and the rail traffic was jammed for three hours. A FIR has also been lodged in the matter. The second incident took place between Bariarpur and Ratnaour in Malda division where fittings were missing from the track. To rectify, rail traffic was stopped for hours and FIR was also lodged in the matter. On January 24 also a major mishap was averted when loco driver of jan Shatabdi spotted a 15 feet rail piece kept on the track horizontally. It’s strange how such incidents spiked in last few months but without any doubt it has raised major safety concern for railways. |
