The Southern Railway today announced cancellation of three trains due to violence in Assam following communal clashes. A railway release here said due to deteriorating law and order situation and heavy disruption of traffic in Alipurduar division of North East Frontier Railway, the following trains are cancelled.

The Guwahati-Bangalore Express scheduled to leave Guwahati at yesterday and passing through Chennai Central today is cancelled. The Bangalore-Guwahati Express scheduled to leave Bangalore at 2330 hrs today and passing through Chennai Central on July 26 is cancelled. The Guwahati-Thiruvananthapuram Express scheduled to leave Guwahati at 0630 hrs today and passing through Chennai Central on July 27 is cancelled.
