The Kannur-Mangalore passenger and the Thiruvananthapuram- Mangalore Express were detained at the Kanhangad railway station for over an hour after a crack was detected on the tracks between the Bekal Fort and Kottikulam stations on Monday morning.The crack on a welded track point ahead of the Bekal bridge was detected by a railway gang man in the morning.Railway engineers from Kasaragod carried out repair work and the speed limit of trains was brought down to 10 kmph on the stretch.The speed restriction was lifted later in the day, railway sources said. | ||
