CRIS (the IT division of Indian Railways) in partnership with RailYatri.in, enabled a faster and efficient way of finding information on trains over internet. "Lot of thought and insights had gone into conceptualizing and designing the new web version of National Train Enquiry System (NTES), also popularly known as TrainEnquiry.com. While we are still in Beta of this product, it is very satisfactory to see and hear positive feedback from such significant number of users within few months.” said Sunil Bajpai, GGM, CRIS “Users are finding train information search faster and more convenient with Trainenquiry.com– making it a preferred option. We believe every user should leave home for the railway station with a status of the train and save their time and energy,” said Manish Rathi, Co-Founder, Railyatri.in. “We are constantly innovating trying to bring more information to passengers to create a hassle free experience.” The search options have been made much easier, relieving the passengers from the burden of remembering the train number etc, giving results in just 20 seconds. The smart train search is a faster version of the oft-used “139” and it also updates the last location of the train. Making the interface even more convenient is the mobile version of the site-using which users can send out information about their train to their friends and relatives immediately. TrainEnquiry.com scores 5 on 5 on the mobile friendliness scale of Google GoMoMeter. The Facebook fan comments on Railyatri page are testimony to the convenience that TrainEnquiry is bringing in for the users. “Excellent website / mobile web app. Keep up the good work.” said Tarun Tyagi on its Facebook page. As per RailYatri.in, the current version of this new web site is an outcome based on several rounds of iterations and fine-tuning based on the feedback from train passengers and experts from various design schools. The new version has been designed keeping in mind the regular passengers, savvy/non-savvy computer users, and also railway personnel themselves. |
