New Delhi : The Northern Railway of Delhi Division today restored the rail traffic on old Yamuna bridge that was affected on Delhi-Sahadara route due to the rising water level of the Yamuna.Regular train service with restricted speed of 10 km per hour was allowed over the 145-year-old Yamuna bridge between Delhi and Sahadara after the receding of water level, a statement issued by Northern Railway said.The movement of trains except EMU service was suspended over the Yamuna bridge from 12 noon yesterday when flood water had crossed the danger level in the river. It was restored at about 11 am today.Services of over 50 trains were affected yesterday due to the rising water level of the Yamuna.The water level had touched 207.32 m yesterday. It was recorded at 206.83 m at 2 pm, which is two metres above the danger mark. | ||
