Gurunath Reddy held rail roko at Anantapur station which received good response from other Samaikyandhra activists besides YSRC cadre leading to chaos. Activists of various JACs gheraoed the DRM’s office while police forces were mobilised in good numbers to prevent any untoward incident. However, tension prevailed as the police and protesters clashed.SKU students who were holding a blockade, surrounded the Itikala Palli police station demanding that the son of Congress MP Harsha Kumar be taken into custody for attacking Samaikyandhra activists, forcing the Anantapur SP S. Syamsundar to reach the spot to prevent the situation from going out of hand. Mr. Syam Sundar pacified the students saying that he would take their demands to higher authorities.
